The Asbury Hotel

We enjoyed the location and the hotel itself. Room was a bit small seemingly but sufficient. The large bathroom was nice and we also enjoyed eating breakfast in the lobby after checking out. Staff was always present and receptive while courteous.

A room with a view would've been better but certainly not a deal breaker. We did not have enough towels really and I did not want to take them from the pool area constantly. Perhaps 2 sets per room should be the new approach. We were also unable to access the rooftop bar despite following staff's easy enough instructions. The door was locked with no clear way to enter (room key did not work).

It’s beautiful there. The rooms are very clean. The staff are excellent. I only wished the pool was open later. Loved seeing all the dogs in the hotel. Always entertainment at night and the rooftop bar is awsome. It’s right around the corner from the Stone Pony music venue and the beach/boardwalk.You have to pay to get on the beach before 5pm though. That felt different😁

The pool wasn’t opened late enough. It’s always heated so would’ve been nice to swim at dark.

Everyone there tries to accommodate the guests. Near a beach that is family oriented and welcomes your furry family members. Lots of restaurants and entertainment.

Our biggest complaint in the morning which can be easily rectified, there was no free flowing coffee in the lobby. For early risers like my husband and I, we would have appreciated a fresh cup of coffee before heading out to the beach to watch the sunrise (weather permitting) and walk the boardwalk before it got too hot.

Such a cool space. All the open spaces were so fun. Pool was very nice. The staff, very accommodating. We stayed in the octo room. Was so fun. Its not high end decor, but totally worked for us. 2 showers, toilets and sinks. Room was cool, beds comfortable. The hotel was very close to shops, dining and beach. Dog friendly too. Very inclusive hotel. Would stay again. Didn't make it to roof top bar. Used pool bar and drinks were good, staff nice and could make a good drink.

Paying extra for parking is my personal pet peave. I wish hotels just included in the price. The coffee, which was good, was very expensive. $5.40 for a large, regular coffee is just too much. Or maybe get discounted refills, using same cup. We had a hiccup with housekeeping. Had to ask 3xs for room service. Got it the next day. The octo room needed either a larger garbage can, or another garbage can in the common room.

Room, location and facilities were great, but the staff were exceptional - my car broke down, right in the valet spot, and they were really understanding about my struggle (needed a jump to get it moved) - they offered to allow me to leave it there overnight in front of the hotel. Nicole at the front desk (and the second woman I spoke to after) was very polite and incredibly helpful throughout. The gentleman with glasses at the valet that weekend was also really understanding. At the end of our stay, some of their staff in country club services jackets gave us a jump and some electrical tape so we could make repairs and drive home. Moe was very eager to help us and really went above and beyond. The staff here really saved my weekend. I cannot thank them enough for their patience, understanding and care.

I wish the bathroom door was *actually* a door and not those double-door saloon things that just swing.

Loved the location and atmosphere- the lobby is vibrant and relaxing, perfect for working on your laptop with plenty of wall plugs with great wifi and coffee/ snacks from the front desk. There's a pool table, bowling lanes as well! The weather was amazing so we took full advantage of the outside pool which is heated and has plenty of sitting area around along with a bar open until 9pm.

Everything was great - close to the beach, walking distance to most restaurants and bars. The only downside during our stay was the uncomfy pillows that were too big but we made it work.

Staying on the 7th floor is a disaster on Friday nights with the band blaring and base penetrating the ceiling - impossible to sleep until they stop around 2 AM - what is with that??? the shower doors are extremely heavy glass and they make a loud noise when slammed and this goes on throughout the building throughout the day and night

Every single member of the staff is AMAZING! You are greeted each time you walk in and treated like a friend from there on out. For starters, the hotel is decorated beautifully like no other! You are in the heart of Asbury Park- there is not a better location for you to stay, walking distance to everything! The amenities at the Asbury are out of this world, make sure to spend a day at the pool and get a drink at the bar! This was my second time staying here and I cannot wait to go back.

The room was perfect for sleeping. The bathroom was gorgeous. There were records and a record player in the room that I played for my kids which was fantastic. Food, activities, the boardwalk and the beach were all within walking distance. Will definitely visit again.

There was nothing I didn’t like. It was all great. They even had things I didn’t expect like bowling next door, a diner and a food truck. I have to visit the rooftop bar next time.

Although breakfast was not included, the place is amazing! Very well located one block away from the beach and with a great pool if you prefer To stay inside. The room is perfect with a record player and great decoration, comfortable bed and very clean. You have free concerts every night at the lobby and every afternoon at the rooftop.
