Best Western Discovery Inn

The breakfast chile was amazing. The gal that makes it uses her own recipe and it is worth the stay to experience her chile! The hotel is clean and comfortable.

The freeway was right off my balcony and I was concerned whether I would sleep at all. I was able to get a good rest because everything else felt good. For me, I wouldn't want to stay here again because of the freeway, but if there was a room that would be quieter I would because the breakfast chili is amazing. Now my son appreciates noise to help him sleep, so he was okay.

Stayed coming and going on recent trip. Breakfast first time was great. Second time a tour bus load of high school boys cleaned out all the hot breakfast foods. Cook couldn't keep up. Since the hotel knew about bus load in advance, extra cook staff should have been hired. Had been looking forward to their goo, hot breakfast. So disappointed.

Hot breakfast foods all gone by 6.30 am due to bus load of teenage boys. Since the bus load was booked in advance, they should have hired extra staff. Disappointed as breakfast here is usually very good.

Very good location close to the highway in the great town of Tucumcari. We got a flat tire, so we have to extend our stay one night more while it gets replaced and the staff make our stay very easy helping us on every step: first to get a late check out, then giving us the chance to get an extra night. Breakfast is very good, the staff during it keeps the breakfast very well supplied. Rooms are spotless clean; they look as good as new. We will stop again in our i-40 travels.

Swimming pool was closed. As per the good (hot) weather in NM it could be open more time during the year. We chose the hotel for the swimming pool, and we didn't see it was closed in the booking website information. Other than that, room rate looks a little expensive, but I think it depends on demand - offer.

Although the hotel is older it was a great place to stay. It was clean, our room was plenty big, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was the best I have had in a hotel. Wide variety of options, nothing overly fancy just plenty of choices. This was our first time staying here but it will not be our last.

It was a little difficult to get the room the right temp but we got that figured out. The shower was also a little tricky getting the water temp right. Seems the internal mixing valve may need replaced, you could feel it disengage. Minor repair, valves wear out.

The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. The breakfast is very good. Giving cookies and water to guests as they check in is a nice touch. The rooms are nice and comfortable.

We were put on the side where the highway runs and there was constant noise from traffic. We had a pet so those were the only rooms available. Suggestion: have a couple of pet friendly rooms available on the parking lot side for people who are sensitive to traffic noise.

The breakfast was fantastic! Not only were there a lot of offerings, but everything tasted really good! The rooms have obviously been redone recently, and they were very comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful!

There were only a couple of problems: There were quite a few flies in the room when we first arrived, but we were able to kill them quickly. Also, the bath mat in the tub had been hung over the edge of the tub to dry, but it was still wet, and there were some hairs from the previous occupants still on the mat. My only suggestion is possibly switch out the mats between residents? Otherwise everything was very clean.

We stayed here for the first time on our way to Missouri from Arizona and enjoyed it so much we stayed again on our way back. The breakfast that was provided was pretty good with lots of options. Both my teenage boys and I enjoyed it. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious. And when we checked it they gave us some delicious cookies! We also got a discounted price which was really nice! We definitely would stay again.

No complaints. Enjoyed out stay.

Great location, next to I-805, close to the Mexico border(about 3.5 miles), shopping stores, gas station and restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly. Our room was comfortable, clean and the decor is beautiful. The AC runs great. We had a microwave and a little fridge. The breakfast was delicious and the staff maintain it full.

The fridge was missing the frozen part.

The breakfast was amazing! I loved the packets of lemon juice and honey for the tea (I don't see that in other hotels). Also, the picante sauce was the best I ever had! They have a great selection of breakfast enhancements!

There really wasn't anything that detracted from my stay. The towels were nice, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean.

The property is very clean. The pictures don’t do it justice. Their decor was classic. I LOVED the breakfast. They had so much variety. The shampoo was also a nice treat. I also liked that they keep their pool open late. The people at the front desk and food staff were also so very friendly! Loyal to great places!
