La Quinta by Wyndham Charlotte Airport South

The room was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of outlets and lighting. T try the AC was working perfectly and the bathroom had everything I could need including extra towels. The staff was extremely accommodating and easily reachable.

The problem is the breakfast was piss poor in quality. There was lots of starch (cereal, waffles, and muffins) but there was no eggs, bacon, or sausage. If you’re expecting a continental Hilton breakfast, don’t. Because you won’t get one. And while the room itself was great, I was promised a mini fridge but the one in my room didn’t work so I had nowhere to store my food and had to continually order takeout which the drivers had a hard time delivering because the sign for the hotel wasn’t lit up so they couldn’t find the place easily. These issues alone should have knocked another $15+ off the price per night.

The waffle bar was wonderful. Also loved the fact that yogurt and fresh fruits were offered, because when you travel with kids they change their mind so often it was nice to have options.

We experienced 2 issues durning our stay. The washing machine did not work. The main issue was we had put our bedding outside side the door due to accident. I notified the housekeeper but after leaving for a few hours we did not have anything replaced. The housekeeper told me that she only handled checkouts, so I went to the front desk and was given everything needed to remake the bed including fresh towels.

The pool was very nice, the rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was huge. All the employees were very nice and overall the experience was fantastic.

The hallways were always extremely warm, and there was a hole in the ceiling right next to our room door. Additionally, there were no carts to get the luggage upstairs at the time we checked in.

Wayne, who was working at the front desk for check-in, went above and beyond to serve his guests. He genuinely deserves a raise, and I hope management rewards his hard work. Our party was in town for the Motley Crue concert, as were a line of others, and he worked harder than any other employee to ensure that all of us were able to make it on time despite hoping to make it himself. He stayed over, he worked hard, and he absolutely - without a shadow of a doubt - deserves reward for that effort.

Arrielle, who was also working the front desk, came in at exactly three o'clock for check-in, and then acted as though she didn't want to deal with the masses who were trying to get to their reserved rooms. Wayne was swamped, working above and beyond, while she spent the first five minutes watching us stand in line as she disinfected her workspace and fiddled with other matters. In my opinion, she didn't want to be bothered, and was rather rude to some other guests in the meantime. Stark comparison between employees that are greeting the public, and rather disappointing when all of us could see that Wayne needed the help.

room - very spacious, lots of amenities , clean. The lobby was spacious and the staff helpful great shuttle service. Just call from the airport and you will be picked up. The return trip was on time and the driver was quite pleasant

corridors/hallways were not nice at all. the carpets were dirty and stained and some areas looked like bleach fell on it. breakfast was basic elevators need cleaning

My stay was definitely better than what I expected. After reading reviews I was a little hesitant on staying here, but I’m glad I did. Staff was professional, the room was spacious, and the breakfast was a small bonus. I didnt use the pool, but it was open which the website stated it wasn’t so that was nice. Breakfast was simple but definitely good.

The hallway carpet was extremely dirty.

This LaQuinta is close to Center City and a great selection of restaurants within 10 minutes of the hotel… The staff is extremely courteous, professional and very helpful!!

I couldn’t use the toilet in the room bathroom because it was very low and with the arthritis pain in my knees and hips made worse by the rainy day prevented me from bending my knees…. I had to use the bathroom designed for people like me off the front lobby so was grateful for that. It was my fault that the room style with handicap bathroom weren’t available and I made the decision to stay in the room! I didn’t have toilets that low on my previous stays there…knowing that I am in such distress with my walking ability right now makes me think the toilets may be the same height, it’s the issues I am experiencing from my arthritis has made my bending next to impossible!

The size of the room and the bathroom 🤗 loved the picture of mt Rushmore.. little piece of back home to make us feel not so far from home

The carpet needs replaced... Made our feet black walking on it. Lights need individual switches so the coffee bar isn't lit up to have lighting on the credenza

The front office people were very nice and helpful all the time. And very friendly. All of them. The breakfast was ok. The location of the hotel is exceptional. Very convenient. From the outside the hotel looks nice. It needs an update though inside.

The tv was not working. ( they are working with a new programmer or something) One of the mattresses was very uncomfortable. Nobody came to clean the room and change the linen and bathtowels. Never saw the cleaning lady. We took our own trash out the room. We had to ask for towels.( they notified us it was due to shortage of material) The hotel is not very clean. The carpets were very dirty. There were no soap or other things in the bathroom. The hairdryer wasn't working.

Staff were friendly and professional. Premises clean and neat. Basic breakfast . Check out time is the best I have come across. It allows me to do business and then come back and collect my luggage and freshen up for my out going travel.

The room cover charge. It is unexpected and unprofessional. A large charge to my card that 'may' be returned 7 to 14 days later? There should be an upfront notification of this and I would not have gone there if I had known this. There are alot of hotels in Charlotte that dont have this charge.
