Christopher Inn and Suites

What I liked: The staff was friendly and personable, #1! Ample free parking always a plus. Able to get a ground floor room easily. Hotel location a short drive to historic city center and had chain restaurants and a grocery store nearby (if that is important to you). Indoor pool and hot tub, which were very popular with families with children. Free breakfast from 6am to 9am weekdays and until 10am F-S-S. Coffee, tea, and hot water available 24-7 near lobby. Comfy beds and pillows. Newer AC/heating units that worked great. Very clean room. Working ice machine! Refrigerator and microwave, small coffee maker, cups and supplies in room.

What I didn't like: No soundproofing whatsoever. Our room was on the highway side of the building and traffic noise was very noticeable. There was a family above us with rambunctious children, so until they settled down at bedtime and when they woke up in the early morning, lots of running and jumping around. When you first enter the building there is a musty odor but I did not notice it in the room. The decor is a little outdated. The breakfast was average, but again FREE, and I'm not complaining about it, just relaying info.

Because the sidewalk and drive up are the same stamped concrete pattern when leaving, if you’re not paying attention, you miss there is a curb. My friend hurt her ankle because of this and I missed it as well but was able to recoup my footings. Only 1 joining room available which, in our case, was disappointing. I had requested one, and didn’t find out until we arrived. In the breakfast room, I would suggest a small insulated jug of milk for the tea/coffee area. Wasted milk because we wanted milk in our tea and had to open a small container. A little outdated in the rooms, but still clean.

The location to Tecumseh was great and close to many restaurants. The rooms were immaculate and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very pleasant and friendly.

I booked our room on-line, therefore I was not aware there would have been a discount beings the fact we were there to see Tecumseh. When we were checking in I told the lady we were there to see Tecumseh. She said if we would have known that, we could have given you a discount since your reasoning for being here was to see Tecumseh. It sure would have been nice if she would have given me a credit. Had i known that when I was booking it online I certainly would have taken advantage of it.

everything is so clean and well maintained. they were burning some type of candle in the reception area and it smelled calming and upscale when you first come in. the pool and hot tub were clean, perfect water temperatures, and clear clean water. the rooms have everything you need and the bedding was just right. everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful. great breakfast with good selection and well done. I’ve never been more impressed with a hotel. it’s not the newest or most luxurious, but everything was just right. my compliments to the management and the staff. thanks and we will come back.

All the staff were very friendly especially the hostess for breakfast. She treated us like family. Everyone was nice and always greeted you with smiles. The rooms were nice and clean. Pretty quiet. Pool was great. Close to several eating establishments.

We were on the second floor and had to carry all our luggage up the steps. It was my sister and I. We are 64 & 65. She had her granddaughter so we had quite a bit to carry for two days stay. That was inconvenient coming and going with the luggage. That was the only thing we didn't like.

Great selection. The staff person that was overseeing the breakfast area was great and always working on things. Location is good. This hotel reminds me of the way hotels use to be. 3 ring binders in the room, Mints on the bed, spotless and nothing out of place. We had stayed in 3 other chain hotels during this trip and they didn't compare. A must stay.

While we were a little concerned about staying at a hotel we were not familiar with, the hotel exceeded our expectations. the hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the amenities that they added to the room was exceptional. The breakfast that was included was one of the best we experienced in a long time. The hotel was also very close to many restaurants.

Breakfast was rather nice with eggs, sausage and doughnuts/bagels and fruit. I liked the hot tub. My wife liked this place better than the Holiday Inn Express in the same town (we stayed there one night on our travel out east). Plenty of parking too.

Bathroom cleanliness could have been a little better. Noted that the fixtures and tub are older.

The Staff was very nice and helpful, anything we needed, they were on it! The pool and hot tub were very nice, hot breakfast every morning. We were on motorcycles and they allowed us to park them up front where the front desk staff could keep an eye on them which was very nice. Roosters next door had good food and drinks and within walking distance.

Traffic was very congested in this area.

Traveling to Toledo and Chilicothe was about halfway. Searched by price and location to highway and found the Christopher. It was clean, had a varied breakfast buffet available and was staffed by a lovely woman who helped with the oatmeal prep(product information did not result in favorable outcome). We enjoyed our stay enough to book it for our return trip before leaving.

The only thing that I can think of was that the commode was very low, family friendly, but not elderly knees friendly.
