Holiday Inn Express Chillicothe East, an IHG Hotel

The great Breakfast. The comfortable beds. Short walk to the room from the parking lot and had luggage trolly at door made getting luggage to room easier. Close to highway with easy access. That is all

I was unaware the Hotel would add a $20/room holding fee for any damages and will take 7-10 days to have a credit on my credit card. The charge on my credit card was more than I expected. On Booking.com I requested 2 King rooms and it appeared that was what I was going to get however the hotel only had rooms with 2 queen beds which worked out but why did booking.com have the King room as an option to choose from?

I stayed here to help break up the drive home from visiting family in Indiana. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay. The location is incredibly convenient, right off the highway. We checked in late but the front desk was very friendly and helpful. It is a small hotel that I think sees many routine travelers. But it was incredibly quiet and the rooms have good light-blocking curtains. The breakfast was also very good- with hot and cold options. The woman working there was interacting with a young family eating beside us and it was so sweet! I loved my experience so much that I'm actually doing the same thing and staying there this weekend when I visit family again.

Honestly, I can't think of a single thing that I didn't like.

The hotel lobby was clean and inviting. The front staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and the area was exceptionally clean. Our room was very comfortable. The shade feature at the window was the best I’ve seen at keeping bright lights out of the room at night. The small night light in the bathroom was perfect for overnight bathroom visits. Overall the property was great and I look forward to staying there again.

The gentlemen at the front desk was very helpful, he was swamped but he made sure everyone had what they needed, the hotel was clean and the beds were comfy! The breakfast was amazing as well, we were in a hurry and didnt have time to get somewhere for breakfast, I'm glad we decided to just eat there it was perfect!

The only downfall, and its not really anyone's fault is the noise from the truck stop next door, there was lots of semi's turning on and off, It woke me up a couple times through out the night but I am a super light sleeper anyway

visibly soiled tv remote - ick. most of the channels didn’t work. breakfast was included with our reservations - quality of food was good - oatmeal and pancakes were not available due to issues. bathtub drain was quite slow.

The beds were SUPER comfortable and the layout of our room worked well for our needs. We appreciated having clean towels each day.

We don't like feather pillows, so it was unfortunate that that's all they had. We were disappointed that the housekeeping staff just pulled the comforter up each day instead of making or even smoothing the bed.

The breakfast hostess was helpful and cheerful. She does a wonderful job.

Motorcycles parked in the walkway by the front door on both sides. I park in handicap parking and couldn’t get thru to the front door. I had to go back to the car and walk around to the Front entrance.

Eva was amazing. She was able to get us checked in early, which was so much appreciated. She went over everything and made sure we had a comfortable stay!

The only negative I have was the bed was a bit too soft but otherwise it was great!

LIKED THE LOCATION, RIGHT OFF FREEWAY. LARGE ROOM AND BATH. HUGE BED, COMFY.

Breakfast would be nice if started earlier for the people who need to get up and go early. It was at 7. We had to leave at 6. So sadly we missed it. Also the price for a Sat nite at $159 plus taxes and fees was STEEP, more than I ever pay, but it WAS the weekend.

Location is good and easy to find. Staff were courteous and quick. Facility was nice and clean. Furnishings were pretty comfortable. Hot breakfast was good and not dried out. Good soap and shampoo provided for in-room use.

Did not get complimentary bottled water (only an issue since the Charleston WV location offered).
