Holiday Inn Express & Suites Cleveland/Westlake, an IHG Hotel

I was very upset that I book this hotel room for my son and granddaughters and they gave their room away and then made him put a deposit down which I was not told of that and then they turn around and charge him for the room after it was already paid for by me! This was so stressful for my son because he did not have the extra money ! He even showed them the booking paid in full on March 3. So my granddaughters were upset because they didn’t have money to have dinner. This is not right . The hotel was nice but this staff action was awful!

The location is convenient being very close to the freeway, shopping, movie theater, and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast was good, with a decent amount of options. The pool facilities had great atmosphere including both a children's area and Jacuzzi. We spent a lot of our time there. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were both friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was amazingly good—-fresh with an excellent selection of breakfast items. The very best part of the breakfast was the hard-working, cheerful, incredibly patient, efficient, helpful Korean lady that tends thebreakfast room. She’s a treasure—-don’t let her get away! She’s unique and wonderful.

There was only one rude staff member in the entire motel. I came in to the kitchen area minutes after it was closed looking for a paper plate. NOT the Korean lady (who cheerfully helped as usual); but another woman who glared at me and reminded me the kitchen area was already closed. you’d think I had demanded she open the entire kitchen for my personal benefit rather than reach behind her to the well-supplied paper plate stack.

We have stayed in this hotel several times. The quiet location, but with lots of restaurants and shopping just around the corner, is ideal for us. We especially like to sit on the patio and enjoy the quiet while we have breakfast in the summer months. The breakfast is very good with plenty of well prepared selections. The ladies serving breakfast are friendly and helpful. The pool area is clean and well maintained and looks like so much fun for children.

The entire facility was clean and well kept. Staff was super friendly. Breakfast and coffee were delicious. Location was convenient to access all of our travel needs. The drive to Huntington Beach/Reservation was less than 5 mins. We definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

The hot tub was out of order, but things happen. This was not a deal breaker for us.

The location was perfect for our needs! It is easy to get to from the highway and is close to Crocker Park and minutes from Lake Erie. We had a simple ride into town to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Westside Market. With family living in Avon Lake, i intend to make this my hotel when i come to visit Cleveland. The beds were super comfy, as well!

The awesome looking pool area being closed broke our hearts. I realize it is for a safety reason during this covid season, however we were really looking forward to it. The fact that you have an area for children in the pool area there will ensure that this is the hotel we use when we ALL come to Cleveland to visit our family who live here.

the hotel pool ran out of towels and I had to ask 2 times to get clean towels for all the guests swimming. the breakfast wasn’t the greatest, my husband had to change the pancake batter himself and the juice was all water coming out of the machine. there wasn’t much variety like I’m used to at a holiday inn either.

it seemed brand new, though the guest clerk said it is 6 years old. The room attendant get a great job in between our two nights of stay. Desk personnel were very welcoming and warm. Breakfast was good and the cafeteria attendant very kind. The entire property and our room were very clean.

There really weren’t any negatives.

My family and I stayed here for Fourth of July Weekend. It was very clean, comfortable, quiet and conveniently located ! The staff was very accommodating and friendly in every way . The complementary breakfast had a variety of options and was a great way to start the day off right ! Going forward, this will be my go-to hotel whenever my family and I visit Cleveland throughout the year !

Nothing at all, I just wish the pool was open during my stay.

Breakfast was good. Many options. The pool was great, nice and big. The kiddie area was a hit for my kids. The water was warm. We had a good time

I booked my room with three guests I wish the towels were enough for three people. Also linens for the pull out couch bed would be nice if already in the room
