Microtel Inn by Wyndham Stillwater

I read the reviews and found that this hotel is under different management now. It was clean the staff very polite and helpful. I liked the breakfast they have a make your own pancakes 🥞 😋 with regular syrup and diabetic syrup. There are bagels 🥯 cream cheese plain and strawberry creamcheese, toast, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, muffins and more. I would definitely stay here again. It is also pet friendly. I didn't get to swim in the pool but it did look inviting.

There is nothing negative to say about the hotel really. I did not like the call center. I had to call about a problem I was having with logging on to my membership for points. The call center was not friendly. Loved the lighting. Usually the rooms are dark in hotels not here it was well lit.

Quiet, right by a "still-water" creek rimmed with green. Fine bed.

Well, maybe my fault: Must have mistakenly reserved a disability room with Booking.com--which was WAY down a hall near back door. Not a convenient space for the 2 of us able-bodied seniors. We noticed IF we'd been mobility-challenged, there was NO way to get a wheel chair off the curb outside back door without going a long way the "wrong" way--IF then.

The beds are comfortable, tv has good variety of channels including movies subscription. Ac in the room worked well, plenty of hot shower water. We didn’t have breakfast so cant comment on that

Only one elevator so if you have to park in the back you have to walk back towards the front to use the elevator. Room didn’t have a fridge or microwave which isn’t a dislike, our drinks were room temp

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Checkin and checkout was quick and easy. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable, the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom and shower was clean and very nice. Every thing seemed new and well maintained. I had a pick up truck and trail, and they had a great special parking area for trucks.

Convenient location to equine conference. Room was large and clean. Bed was 🔐 comfortable and a/c worked great!

Breakfast was ok, but not spectacular. First morning there was no fruit out. I like my coffee brewed a little stronger. Room was not cleaned after the second night so I didn't have coffee in the room.

All was good until we could not watch tv…front desk was rude and of no help. As you May know, many guests including myself use the tv for relaxing prior to sleep and use the tv first thing in the morning to be informed of news and current weather. When the tv didn’t work we called for assistance and we’re told to figure it out. Upon calling the second time we were told that maintenance would come to address the problem. No one every arrived. I know that this seems like a small problem, it was the front desks attitude that upset us. Thank you for listening.

Great hotel for the money. I think it was the most comfortable Microtel I've ever stayed in. The staff was accommodating. The beds are nice. The hotel is very clean. Breakfast is very minimal. But, as long as you know that in advance, it's fine. Expect bagels, muffin, toast or cereal. I will make this my regular stay, when working in Stillwater.

It was good to have some breakfast items Sunday morning. Coffee was good and hot. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was good for us. The hotel was surprisingly quiet during the night.

There are a few little things that were noticed. It would be helpful if there was a lid for the toilet seat. The towels were adequate but not soft. The refrigerator recycling was heard during the night, mostly because I am a light sleeper. Breakfast was limited. It would have been nice if there had been more gluten free choices.

FROM CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT, THIS LITTLE QUAINT HOTEL IS SUPER!! THE ROOM WAS SO CUTE AND COMFY!! THE BED IS AMAZING! THE LOCATION TO SHOPPING AND OTHER AMENITIES IS ALSO COMPLETELY CONVENIENT! SO, THAT THEN LEADS ME TO THE STAFF....THE GENERAL MANAGER, THE GROUNDS KEEPER AND ABSOLUTELY ALL OF THE OTHER STAFF ARE COMPLETELY AMAZING!!! I HAD NO WANTS OR NEEDS UNMET. THE GENERAL MANAGER EVEN HELPED ME FIGURE OUT THE PANCAKE MAKER....PUSHING A BUTTON, YES, I COMPLICATED A SINGLE BUTTON. THEN THERE IS SPENCER...THE EVENING FRONT DESK CLERK. HE AND I HAD AN EXTENSIVE CONVERSATION. IT TURNED OUT THAT I WAS WITH HIM OVER A YEAR AGO WHEN HE HAD AN ACCIDENT AND REQUIRED MY ASSISTANCE AT THE HOSPITAL. HOW SMALL THIS WORLD BECOMES WHEN GOD REUNITES TOTAL STRANGERS. I WILL BE STAYING AT THIS HOTEL EVERY TIME. BEST PRICE, BEST AMENITIES (LAUNDRY), AMAZING STAFF!!! WYNDHAM IS BLESSED TO HAVE THIS LITTLE JEWEL!!

The bed...OHHHHHH THE BED!!!! Their beds are so soft and comfy. I have to travel A LOT for work and stay at TONS of places. This Microtel did not have the best ratings or the greatest reviews. I chose it due to the price being mid way. I was GLORIOUSLY IMPRESSED!!!!! Within 10 minutes of my arrival, I had already booked my next stay with them. The young lady that checked me in was SO FRIENDLY!!! Both checking in and checking out. She was just so kind. She was going to try to refund part of my stay since I didn't get to stay the second night. I WOULD NOT HEAR OF IT. This QUAINT LITTLE PLACE was so accommodating, it deserved the full price of both nights. I requested to be placed in a room far away from any noise pollution that could possibly be avoided. She looked at my request and placed me at the very farthest end of the hotel, away from the main traffic areas. I was so comfy, I almost overslept. The TV is up on the wall to allow for room to place items on the desk top. The room was an "efficiency" size room. Just big enough for myself. The room was super quiet even though there is ongoing construction just across the parking lot. From now on, I am planning on staying at this facility. It's quite a bit further from my work than I like, but WELL WORTH THE DRIVE. Shopping is also EVERYWHERE....BUT I WON'T TELL THE HUSBAND!!! My next stay is booked and the next is also about to be booked for my husband and the two little ones to come stay. Try this location if you're traveling to Stillwater, Oklahoma. Don't take my word for it or do, either way, if YOU don't stay there, it leaves a room open for me!!!😊

The black out shades are not adequate. I work nights and really need the benefits of the black out curtains. A mask works fine but usually ends up around my nose. An anti-slip shower surface would also help in a disability room. I nearly fell when I was showering, due to the shower bottom being so slick. No microwave in the room and no mini fridge would usually be a deterant, but I really didn't mind. Just keeping that in mind, some might have found that a bit off-putting.
