Sonder The Queen

I loved the modern aesthetic and furnishings. It's also located close to South St. with plenty of food options, and a quick walk to a bagel shop.with awesome coffee. My room was clean, cosy, simply furnished (Modern) and spacious.

The keypad for the outside door was not responsive when pressing the numbers. After a few tries, I called for assistance which was answered promptly. A courteous rep was helpful and patient.. Note: once I used the indoor keypads, I could hear a beep and see a faint light registering each number. The outside keypad may be worn down due to exposure to the sun & elements. Also I forgot to report one faulty light fixture in my room. Other than that, my stay was pleasant and quiet.

Keyless check in and entry was very convenient since we arrived very late. The location is great, lots of bars, restaurants, and shops in the area and quite safe for walking at night. The Roku TV and Wifi worked perfectly and the bed was very comfortable. There's also a really nice roof terrace.

The sound insulation is not very good in the room. You can hear people on the street and especially in the hallway until late at night. There is a supply room downstairs where you can get more shampoo, towels, etc. This should in theory be more convenient, except our last night someone took all the coffee and there was no staff on site to restock it, so we had no coffee in the room before our early departure, which was a bit disappointing. There is also a water refill station but no bottles, ice or glasses provided. For the price I feel like there could be better amenities.

Extremely clean and well put together. Large space and room amenities were nice touch. Comfortable beds.

The check in was a bit later than normal hotels- 4pm. For each 30 mins you wanted to check in early there would be a charge. However they reached out to me at least 5 times within the 24hrs of my stay- asking if I would be leaving early to let them know- even though I selected the 11am check out time. I received emails and texts asking to let them know If I decided to check out early so the room could be Available for the next guest.

From the aesthetics to the comfort of the bed. The cleanliness of the room & building. I loved the minimalistic vibe as well as all the clear & helpful instructions in the app, which helped my stay to be seamless. The location was amazing, shops, bars, cafe’s all in walking distance. The coffee machine was great & also loved that there was a water dispenser in each floor.

There was small bits if rusting in the bathroom door. Honestly nothing bad to say.

Great location and nice modern hotel. Queit block and right down the street from dozens of bars, restaurants and boutiques. Parking lot right across the street. Struck a deal with the attendant for 3 days $40

Not too much that I didn't like. Really can't think of 1 complaint....wait...no iron or ironing board...lol

Nice and convenient for the activities I had planned. Very clean and quiet.

No ice machine. The bed was to low to the floor. Made it very difficult for someone like me who has balance issues to get out of bed. No convenient parking. The closest security lot was over a mile away. Unable to use my own car to sightsee. There is a leather or vinyl jacket in the room from a previous guest, and there were nails in the wall. When I got the code to enter. The instructions didn't include hitting pound afterward.

Wow, the room was very nice, by far the best we had on our road trip. We really liked the modern architecture style (refurbished old building), for a hotel room at this price close to perfect. The bed was very good, the bathroom is very good, enough space everywhere, free access to streaming channels and a huge TV. The location is also very nice, very hip.

Parking is kind of a problem. Due to a full digital access (no analog reception desk) the admission process was a bit over the edge.

The room is simply beautiful and extremely comfortable. There is enough space for the luggage, the bed is huge, there was even Chromecast on TV which was perfect for us. Wifi was working very well as well. Luggage storage is available.

We arrived a bit early (around 1h) and there was no option to enter the room even 15 min early - it doesn't make any sense. I wish there was at least one person from stuff available to let us in as obviously the room was ready... It is also a bit annoying to put in the entry code several times to reach the room.

There’s no breakfast, but I did enjoy the design and the stay. The coffee machine wasn’t working so very promptly they changed it after I told them. :) it was comfortable. :)

The curtains need to be fixed. The door in the washroom was beginning to have some bad cracks on top. The upper part of the door was beginning to break apart.(I think it has something to do with humidity?) but I did enjoy it. :)

beautiful clean room, nice lobby. In the reservation we asked for a bathtub which they said would be possible, the room turned out to have a shower anyway but it was an amazing shower better than any bathtub could have been.

The contactless checking in could be nice if you know what to expect. Everything is done online and there are no employees at the hotel. We were in front of the door expecting a physical check-in option too, somebody happened to be there to let us in but usually there is no one. All employees are very nice on the phone though. Advertisement say that there is a luggage storage, however it is not possible to store your luggage after checkout on the leaving day. There is also no rooftop terrace, we tried to sit there but got sent away by the restaurant that told us it is not part of the hotel.
