Baymont by Wyndham Gatlinburg On The River

Loved the distance to downtown Gatlinburg! The views of the balcony were exceptional!

There wasn’t free breakfast at the hotel. The front desk staff could of been a little friendlier. It’s off the main road so you could hear all the traffic all night so if you’re a light sleeper its not a good place to stay. The beds could be a little more comfortable. Our room was next to the elevator so you could hear people all night and you can also hear everyone going down the hall past your room all day. Once the main parking is full you need to park on the bottom floor but there is a sign that says the hotel isn’t responsible for stolen or damaged property.

Location was great.

Check in staff were unfriendly and very unwelcoming. Felt like I inconvenienced them when I checked in. At check out, same gentleman checking us in the night before checked us out. We left keys in room(like most hotels we frequent monthly do). Guy at check out asked for room keys..explained we left them in room. He seemed upset we did that. Perhaps making it understood they wanted keys personally back at check out would be helpful for everyone. Parking was horrible. Literally one parking spot available. Luckily our big lifted truck fit in last spot. I called ahead to make sure there would be enough parking...but there almost wasn't.

The breakfast was really good. There wasn't a lot of variety, but we usually got there late. I would have loved some bacon. The waffles were amazing though!

The bed was stiff and could use a soft comforter but other than that I would definitely go there again

The over all look of the place was great. It looked like a wood cabin. The river and mountain view from the rooms balcony was great. The rooms were very clean and a good size. The staff was very nice and helpful. The option of having breakfast was great and my kids loved the indoor pool.

We had a van and it was a little different parking in the lower parking lot but we made it work and trying to pull out on the road was difficult also but we went during busy season so that is to be expected. The bed wasn't very comfortable but I don't know of a hotel that has comfortable mattresses so that's also to be expected.

The location was perfect and the view from the balcony was wonderful. it was clean and the staff were very friendly. The price was also very affordable for the room and location.

The parking was very tight and not a ton of it. It wasn’t a huge issue, I just feel like it needed mentioning. The mattresses were the worst part of the stay. They were hard as a rock. I didn’t let it ruin our trip by any means, but a different mattress would’ve definitely made the stay more comfortable.

The breakfast was like any other hotel breakfast, mostly edible and hot. The location was nice because I didn’t have to drive through the busy strip first. The room was clean and warm upon arrival. My kids loved having the pool to themselves.

The parking lot was difficult to navigate after midnight. The parking garage spots were mostly taken up in the middle spot and very narrow for other cars to park next to. The bathroom could use a good mop/ vacuum to clean up hair. Noise from the road is easily heard but quieted down a bit after rush hour.

Breakfast was great! Great location!

Definitely need more smoking sections. It was frustrating to have to go so far from our room to smoke!
