Sleep Inn & Suites University

The hotel was easily accessible & away from other businesses & traffic, so it was very quiet. Our room was a nice size with all the necessary amenities & probably the most comfortable bed i have ever slept in. Staff was welcoming & the breakfast actually goes until 10:00 am on Sat & Sun mornings, which is nice for those not so morning people.

Even though it is a clean hotel, it could use some well needed TLC. There was a bench in our room that had a huge black stain on most of the cushion. It wasn't a crucial piece of furniture, so I do not know why it wasn't just removed. Many large tiles in front of the bathroom had popped loose from the floor, making it feel like a falling hazard as you walked into the bathroom, but the biggest issue was that we didn't even need to use our key cards! You could just push the door right open because no matter how hard we tried, we could never get the door to latch. The hotel was sold out & luckily, we were only there for the night, so we just used all the extra locks once inside the room for the night.

Breakfast was good, pretty standard hotel breakfast. The bed was comfy and had plenty of pillows available. Shower got plenty hot and had great water pressure. The room was clean but the furniture had some wear and tear. Nothing broken just worn down. Front desk agent was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Room next to us was super loud and noisy most of the evening, sounded like a party was going on in there. Room was freezing when we got in and it took a while to warm up. It was set at 60 degrees, and it was in the 50's outside.

i liked the location and how the building looked nice/not run down. the hotel room was decently sized and clean!

one of the sheets did have a decently sized circle of a brownish/yellow stain, i threw them off the bed but obviously i’d rather not see something like that and expect old white sheets like such to be trashed. the shower was clogged so water wasn’t draining as fast as possible, felt gross since there’s no telling how clean the shower is due to the rock like designs

Room was on first floor. Quiet & very convenient. Front desk staff very accommodating. When I arrived, my room had a lot of pet hair on 1 of the beds... so they quickly resolved the situation by moving me to another room.

The property needs more parking. And some repairs are needed on the outside... seems as tho a truck that was too tall tried to go thru the breezeway drive.

SleepInn is my go to location for any stays in Abilene. The front desk staff is always attentive. This recent stay was hard due to the fact I was settling the affairs of my dad's unexpected death and placement of my mother in a nursing facility. The staff went above and beyond to help us through the process of extending our stay and make our stay as uncomplicated as possible. Truly appreciate the kindness this week.

I wish there were a few more options for breakfast but I understand everything is hard to come by right now. But I'd like muffins :-)

After nine hours of driving, we were able to pull off of the highway and find the hotel immediately. We welcomed the very clean and comfortable room and had a great night's sleep in a very comfortable bed as well.

The continental breakfast of scrambled eggs and rather greasy bacon with starchy dinner rolls were the only hot items available, which was not at all appetizing. Other items available were cold cereal, packaged oatmeal, bagels, french toast and a coffee dispenser that sputtered a questionable brand of coffee. When traveling early in the morning restaurants aren't always open to fill the void, so we ate what was available. Would like to see the menu improved upon.

Receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Shower was great.

Items missing off the walls needs replaced like a towel holder on back of bathroom door. Looks like there was a small mirror on the wall that was missing. Some of the wall needs repainting. Carpet was ok but needs to be cleaned. Bed was ok but could be a little more comfortable. Could feel the springs. Need more soap. Only had 1 bar of soap for the sink and shower. Missing kleenex in the holder.

Most everything. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Staff was very cordial.

The fact that my car windshield sustained damage and must be replaced. Suspect damage resulted from shingles blowing off the hotel roof. Disappointed that staff would not allow me (or police) to view their video without the manager present. I simply wanted to see what really happened.I filed a police report and they would not allow the police to see the video either.

Friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast, good sized room, cold air conditioning with record high temps outside, little gym to work out in, conveniently located off a main road and near restaurants, free toiletries

Could have been cleaner, breakfast was inconsistent (great one day and just ok the next)

Staff was Great, Bed was so comfortable, I thought I was sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was good but they seemed like they could not keep the buffet full, ran out of eggs and other things. And The pool was closed. Very clean rooms. Overall I had a great comfortable time.

That they could not keep up with the breakfast items, and I certainly did not want to wait around with 20 other people till it was refilled. Pool was closed.
