Red Roof Inn Childress

Arrived late, 1 1/2 hrs after intended arrival and couldn’t call because we were driving two cars in a blinding thunderstorm. Our reservation was still in the computer, thank goodness. Room was extremely clean, great bed, pillows and shower. Quiet, as the nonsmoking rooms are farther back away from the Hwy. Parking lighting is good, and because the motel is smaller and only one level, we got to park right in front of our room. Coffee, sweet roll and orange was good enough. Heated the sweet roll in our microwave. Will definitely stay again and recommend for anyone.

I had low expectations because of the very inexpensive rate for the room. I was pleasantly surprised. We had a cordial experience in the office. Our room was motel-style and looked a little outdated from the parking lot. We parked immediately in front of our room (wonderful concept!). Once inside, it was quite a pleasant room. The bedding was nice and the mattress was comfortable. The bathroom was sparkling clean. The laminate wood flooring was new and very clean. Bonus: there's a new Starbucks next to the hotel!

If you are budgeting for breakfast, there is really not a breakfast at this hotel/motel. There are prepackaged muffins, some fruit and bars in the lobby. This is fine, but it should be clear in the promo information.

The room was great. It was larger than I expected as was the sink vanity. I loved the laminate faux wood flooring vs carpet. Everything was very clean, the towels were good, and the bed was comfortable. I appreciated that there was coffee and something to grab for breakfast even if it was only a pre-packaged muffin or a granola bar and some yogurt.

The shower was very high and spraying outward. The head was not adjustable so it is hard for a less than 6 ft person to keep their head out of the spray. I would also like more plugs near the bed. Used the one plug for my CPAP and then had to plug my phone in across the room. Wasn't too big a deal since we had been traveling by car and had the phone plugged in while driving.

We were traveling to Dallas and needed a place to spend the night, but didn't want to pay a lot for the room. We chose the Red Roof Inn because of the price and the reviews. It was a great room. The room was large, clean, had a/c, comfortable king size bed, TV, and was far enough away from the highway that you couldn't hear traffic. Bathroom was small but clean. Breakfast was a brown bag of fruit, granola bar, water .. We just took the time and ate at Dawson's Restaurant next door. Glad we chose the hotel and would stay there again.

I like the location, the room wasn't perfect but it was clean and everything worked. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the springs made noises every time I moved. But honestly I like this place, I've stayed there twice in the last few weeks and I will be returning next time I go through Childress.

The bed was loud. It's not a 5 star hotel but I don't have too much to complain about.

Location was good. Right next door to a brand new Starbucks. Price for room was very reasonable.

The sound of the trucks going by on 287 were noticeable. Once you got used to it, it was kind of soothing. The coffee was not so great, but oh well. Breakfast was cold to go selection, but the food was good, e.g. cold yogurt, banana muffin, small apple.

The property was clean, accessible, and the ADA room was fine.

We did not expect a hot breakfast, but we did not expect what we got either. We were greeted in the morning with a "Grab & Go" breakfast of yogurt, packaged muffin, apple, orange, and coffee to take back to our room to eat. They did not even allow us to eat in their breakfast room.

Convenience to highway travels, price compared to other facilities in same town. Clean facilities but could be updated in certain areas of bathroom.

Website indicates breakfast service but only 3 selections of packaged foods, 1 type fruit provided by owner. Red Roof didn't provided any serving of breakfast.

Was nice and comfortable bed

If you put the maid service sign on the door they will not clean it just flip it over to do not disturb they done it for 3 days to me and check the tip envelope regularly
