Rodeway Inn of Junction

My husband and I have stayed at a lot of inexpensive motels over the years. This one was by far the most comfortable, affordable, and dog friendly place I have ever spent the night. We only stayed 1 night on our way back from Big Bend, but when we come back to Junction (if we aren't camping in the state park), we are staying at this Rodeway Inn again! Great staff, clean and so comfortable! Decent wifi, excellent water pressure. Good dark blackout curtains. Excellent spot to walk dogs and a little picnic area out back . Looked like a really decent breakfast set up the next morning, but I have food allergies, so I just got coffee. Bonus: if you want and ask they still offer a few smoking rooms... those can be hard to find!

I was 100% satisfied with my stay. I truly have nothing to complain about.

All of the staff here were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, especially for the price, and the attendant kept the fresh food coming out before anything ran out. Given its relative proximity to the highway, it was a quiet room.

The room smelled a bit like mold and the pillows were too small. The lighting was dark in our room, and layout is old style, with the door leading straight outside. That was really all; overall it was a great room for the price.

Clean and comfortable.

There is a sign on the door that states that "you are required to wear a mask upon entering our Hotel and during your stay whenever you are not in your guestroom." Great! I did wear a mask. Unfortunately, the male receptionist did not wear a mask at all, and when I asked him to back away so I could sign the paperwork without him breathing straight into my face he said: "Oh, you are one of those." Really!? Highly unprofessional in addition to putting guests at risk. The bathroom was small, which is no problem by itself, but there was no lid on the toilet so no place to put clothes while showering.

Near the interstate. Easy check-in and out. Clean room with no shortage of towels and washcloths. Which I've found is an issue at some places. Staff was friendly at check-in and check-out.

Though there was good lighting. It was too low in the areas for applying makeup. A little brighter over the vanity would be nice.

Was good overall breafast was ok, the breakfast burritos were good. Room was a bit sparse looked like it was missing a desk or something. Had to plug in the refrigerator and turn on the power strip but figured it out It was good for what we needed and the price

They served a full, hot, breakfast. The best biscuits, sausage patties, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and all the normal cold cereal, breads, juices and coffee. It was a great breakfast, with a nice separate room, spacious and clean. Really good coffee too. The rooms are traditional motel with recent upgrades. The new vinyl floor was clean. The bed was comfortable. Good value if you are just driving down the road and need a decent place to stay.

The check in was fast. Front desk clerk was friendly and accessible. Everything was worth the value. Breakfast was good and hot. Basic hotel breakfast but this one had taquitos. The pool was sparkling clean. No strong smell of chlorine. Rooms were clean and specious. The rooms are basic but take under consideration it’s a motel not a 5 star hotel, regardless it was comfortable quiet and great value. Would definitely stay there again!

the lamps and refrigerator were all unplugged and it was a bit of a hassle to get them plugged back in. the bedspread was stained, but otherwise the room was clean. the “blackout” curtain let in a lot of light around the sides making it light in the room. no major channels available on the tv (like NBC, ABC, etc)

Check in was fast and I had good/ friendly service. The price was extremely reasonable and the beds were comfortable. The outdoor picnic area was a great place to sit around and relax. Easy access to fast food restaurants near by. A good priced hotel that accepts pets will definitely bring us back to stay on our next visit!

One of the workers (different from our check in receptionist)beat on the door early in the morning and gave my wife attitude about the dogs and rudely said she was charging us for them. Which I thought I was already charged. We were in town for a funeral and that rude behavior was unacceptable.

Easy to get to, sign a bit small so drove past at first but once there an easy check-in procedure. Basic but fresh rooms, reasonably comfortable bed. A little noise from the big road but not too bad. One of the better breakfasts in the states so far. And such good price, definitely worth the money!

Bed slightly squeaky and noisy from the roads and the AC and bathroom, but still a decent nights sleep.
