Super 8 by Wyndham Midland South

This is a nice hotel and the staff was very friendly. They are going through a remodel but all of the construction material and equipment was placed in a safe area away from hotel guest and I feel that all efforts were taken to minimize the mess. The staff was very nice and warned us about the construction and took every measure to make sure we were informed and safe.

There is really nothing bad to say about this place. We were very pleased with it.

This location works very well for our needs. We also like that we can easily walk to a few restaurants nearby. Also parking is adequate which is a step up from most of the places nearby. This is our GO TO spot in Midland.

The only thing I can add to the negative is that I wish there were more and better towel racks. There is a huge empty wall in the bathroom that can easily accommodate some towel racks - at least 3. The hooks that are there now are good for hanging some clothes etc. so leave them there, but the hooks are not good for hanging towels.

I liked how the rooms looked, i liked how clean it was, especially being able to watch tv the last hotel we couldn’t watch it. We felt safe in the hotel, especially being able to see our car.

The staff, the lady who checked us in was rude. She had a stank face and was just rude!

Good but loud A/C, spacious room. They made a point of accommodating my request for a quiet room but placing me far from the interstate access road.

Every step in the room above could be heard, and there were some real steppers there evening and morning!

This hotel was perfect! The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The towels was fluffy and soft too! The breakfast, of course has changed due to covid, but they had yogurt, instant oatmeal, granola bars, and fruit. The coffee was good too. The breakfast area was large and clean. Tables were out and spaced appropriately. It was a nice over night stay.

The only negative thing I can say about this hotel is the sound that the elevator makes when it is at your floor was very loud!

Breakfast was awesome loved the selection they had fresh fruit , many juices, chocolate and regular milk. Bagels with cream cheese. Single serve cereals, pop tarts , packages or sandwiches, mini waffles. Check out host was amazing and super friendly and knowledgeable.

Walls were thin. We could hear the tv and guest in the next room loud and clear. Front desk was kind enough to call the room to ask if they could turn it down and move our room. front desk lady at check in didnt seem to know much info when I asked questions

I like the location... for me it is close to family, across the parking lot from and IHOP - very convenient - and walking distance to a Dominoes and a great Mexican Restaurant - cant recall the name...

the parking lot is iffy.... while we were there some major construction on front of building so be careful of debris in back parking lot... but all else is good... maybe they are done with the repairs. also the parking lot is tight... if you have a truck its tough.

older property under re-furb - when they get it done it will be okay - need to be a lot more creative with breakfast

better breakfast selection - and I don't mean having a hot breakfast - just basic granola bbars and stuff

Exterior cigarette butts were very visible. Needed to have facility for disposal of them. We realize that is a difficult thing to control or deal with.
