La Quinta Inn by Wyndham San Antonio I-35 N at Toepperwein

I had to book a room last minute for an emergency trip and the reviews had me nervous. Honestly, the place wasn't that bad. The beds were comfortable, sheets were clean, you couldnt hear the neighboring rooms, and check in/out was easy. The hotel is right by the freeway but traffic and noise were never an issue. The room was nice enough that my sister and I were more than comfortable taking a day to just hang out in it and catch up on some rest before our flight back.

The room did smell like cigarette smell despite it being a nonsmoking room, but I would stop smelling it within a minute of being in there. The room itself was a bit dirty coming in but not anything to make me consider leaving. It would be something like stuff on the walls or around the sink. Overall, this was a pretty enjoyable stay!

I didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast option, but I did appreciate the fact that they offered free breakfast. I liked how this place was located next to fast food restaurants.

I wish the pool was maintained more and cleaned up. There was leave debris in the bottom of the pool that was excessive and very noticeable. Also, it was too cold for anyone to be able to get into and enjoy. The pool area was very nice and fun looking it’s just unfortunate my kids and I weren’t able to experience and enjoy the pool.

The room was clean, and the beds were clean and comfortable.

The address provided to me by booking.com did not take me straight to the hotel when using Google it ended in the middle of an intersection, I had to look up the address on Google and that was the right one. The breakfast was just ok, nothing fancy.

We got a family deluxe room which is great with having 6 kids. The price was good and felt safe as well as beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful and nice when we asked for things.

Had to go ask for trash bags and towels after a long day the 2nd day because they didn’t come change out our towels after the first night. The room could of been cleaner there was hair on our towels and there was a dirty towel left hanging on bathroom door that was overlooked when they cleaned the room before we checked in. The grab and go type breakfast was nonexistent 30 min before breakfast was “suppose to end” so we didn’t get breakfast the morning we tried

The location was excellent for our needs. Was able to have my 2 chihuahuas with me. Beds were comfortable and room clean. Nice breeze on the 4th floor balcony.

The breakfast was minimal due to Covid restrictions. Our neighbors were very loud our first evening and it took us a while to get to sleep. Tried to report it but the front desk didn’t answer the phone.

The room was very large and had amble space for a family of 6. The room was very clean. Location was excellent and provided easy access to the highway. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service.

Our room keys did not work to gain access to the guest laundry room and we had to have a staff member escort us to open the door multiple times. There were signs up stating laundry soap was available at the desk, but they were out.

The staff was super friendly and had me checked into the room quickly. Also when we left my daughter forgot her stuffed animal that meant the world to her and the guy at the desk was super nice and went out of his way to find her stuffed animal and we were able to pick it up before we headed back home.

Ac works great. Good water pressure. Big room. Elevator

The bed had mens hair in it in a few places and other pieces of fuz or something that made me scared the beds weren't washed. But they smell clean. They give you a crappy packet of "conditioning shampoo". Also, i don't think there picture on the website is the picture for this place. I like hotels with inner rooms, with rooms in hallways. But these rooms you enter in from outside.

Had to leave earlier than the time breakfast was ready on a Saturday need to get breakfast going no later than 6 a.m. had to be on the road by 6:16 am.

earlier check in time. 3 pm is to late.

Some staff was nice, room was good, pool was great (when it was opened) not sure if I'd stay again.

Couch & chair looked a lil dirty, maybe time to be upgraded..swimming pool says it opens at 9am, gate was locked, asked the front desk if they could open it, she said she wasn't sure if it would open today and if so, at 10am. We paid quite a bit for the family Suite, be nice to get our money's worth.
