Holiday Inn Temple - Belton, an IHG Hotel

We arrived to the hotel late after a 2 1/2 hour drive and were met by a friendly staff (two men) that got us checked into our room very quickly so we could get some rest. The staff in the morning (two women) was much different and not as friendly. They did not seem to acknowledge anyone that walked past the front desk.

. Staff was wonderful and very helpful. When you have nice people it makes your stay so much better. The breakfast could use some work as they were not up to par and turned the soda machine off at 9 am after we got our food. It was upsetting to my husband

The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and very nicely appointed.

There is a train track close to the hotel. Several trains traveled along it during the night and were very noisy.

I liked that it was clean and had everything I needed. What I didn’t like was that there wasn’t any room service to clean the rooms. They told me that because of COVID they couldn’t enter the room, yet a man was unlocking all the doors in the morning for the cleaning lady. I had left around 10am and came back to see the room wasn’t clean and they had turned the ac off. If they weren’t aloud in the room then why would they turn the ac off. Another thing I didn’t like is that they knocked on my room door because there was someone complaining of my kids running around. I had mentioned in the booking I had toddlers! If you only knew how hard it is to keep toddlers quiet... yeah it wasn’t fun. Next time I’ll remember to get the bottom floor since the staff don’t use common sense. Also since there was no cleaning I didn’t have clean towels nor clean sheets. But other than what I just commented. Everything was ok.

Hotel smelled clean when checking in. The parking lot is well lit. Some noise from the Interstate, but expected. Close to restaurants and easy access. The staff working the breakfast was very nice.

Was there only one night so can’t say much more.

The most important commodity is a good night sleep when traveling and the mattress was not too soft. The hotel was very quiet

The air conditioning could have been cooler but it was adequate just not great

Clean pool, good water pressure and large room

Restaurant prices too high and food not that good.

I had a place to go when I had no where else to go.

No cable,water cut off for a couple hours and room became cold in the evenings. No discount for uncomfortable situations.

Very clean lobby and room. Room is spacious and bed was comfortable. Very quiet!!

Price is kind of high for this area and does not include breakfast.

The restaurant was not what I expected . It took too long to get our food and then it wasn’t right but we ate it anyway.
