Days Inn by Wyndham Van Horn TX

We stopped here mainly rest, not "walk around or sight-see", but Days Inn Wyndam Van Horn was a great pick. Price was awesome, continental breakfast was simple but kindly provided, room was relatively clean (older building). I left my makeup bag there by accident, and luckily they had it when we stopped by two days later in tact, so I'm very thankful to the workers there. My family and I were very comfortable and had a good night's rest. Van Horn is a city where there are a lot of commuters coming in and leaving (especially workers in the trucking industry, but there were also a many families in this hotel as well (Spring Break time), just make sure to stay together if you have children (common sense). Van Horn is a city where you stop to rest, not really to sight-see although areas like Marfa, Big Bend, McDonald Observatory, Davis/Guadalupe Mountain are nearby. Days Inn Van Horn is a great place to rest before you go onto your next adventure. Sunrises in Van Horn are beautiful.

WE stayed at this hotel 6 years ago and outside looks bad, but staff and rooms are good. Booking.com was the issue. I had made reservations and had the same date as the previous city in Arkansas. I went online to see if room was still available and found out at check-in that the room was cancelled because of the same date. They had a room available and everything worked out fine.

Booking. com not reconfirming the correct date. Not the hotel issue, but booking.com. But everything else was in good working order and no problems incurred at check-in.

We want to express our gratitude to the cleaning staff and to the management at the Van Horn, Texas Days Inn. First, the cleaning person was honest and highly responsible. She turned in my wife's tablet, which we had left behind, to the Office. Then, Management worked with us to arrange for the tablet to be mailed to us. This high level of honesty and professionalism is most commendable.

The furniture is showing signs of wear.

Great location for local hiking, shops and eating places close by. Friendly helpful team. Lot of coffee and cold drinks available throughout the day. Could sit outside and enjoy the weather. Laundry facilities. Good size room with up-to-date microwave and fridge, Comfy bed. Very quiet.

Leaving. We kept on booking extra nights.

When I first got to the hotel walked in it had a very clean smell that is one of the things I noticed right off the bat the cleanliness of the air around me

I like the fact that my room was a wonderful access to the outside part my vehicle was able to get in my room not having to go up the stairs I'm actually going to be staying again in Van Horn really soon I hope that I can get another room again on the right hand side other facility my room was clean always have clean towels stuff was wonderful my bed was so dreamy I had a great stay looking forward to seeing you all really soon

The room was clean, and the staff member was friendly. Nice price for staying with dog, just $10. There is even the designated place to walk with the dog.

I liked everything over there, and it was just one night stay on my road trip, so it would be difficult for me for to say whay I didn't like)).

I was very happy with how large the room was and how comfy it felt. It was slightly weird because two room are connected but the doors on either side are locked. The sheets are very soft and really surprised me. I will definitely book here again when I come to town.

The room was really nice and just what I had requested. Comfortable beds. Quiet location. The person in the office could not have been nicer. I think he was middle eastern and just as nice as could be. I couldn't figure out how to work the key and he came right over and helped. Then the TV was set wrong and I again asked him for help and he came over and fixed that as well. He waved goodbye while we were outside when he left work that evening.

The hotel was great. What wasn't great was there were NO restaurants to eat in except one, but it looked crappy so we just got fast food.

Comfortable mattress, a little too firm but I slept okay. Clean room. The flooring and bathtub / shower looked new. I liked the big frig, microwave and coffee pot in the room. Nice people at the front desk.

I could hear the people in the next room....almost as loud as if they were in the same room. Not good water pressure in the shower.

This is a fabulous stay for the price point. The rooms are very quiet as was the air conditioner. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. We slept in till 9am and were suprised to see an empty parking lot. All the cars and trucks had left and we did not hear a sound.
