Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Van Horn, an IHG Hotel

Great location for transient traveler. Easy hop in & out the main road and yet they are secured and no traffic noise. Beautiful view of the mountains and plains. We love how our room is spacious, well ventilated and well designed. New and modern furnitures. Room smells fresh and very clean.  First time we've seen a private separation door from the foyer and bedroom. It keeps the hallway noise out. The most fluffy and soft beddings! We had trouble living the bed. We just wanna sleep some more. The luggage bench is very useful. Office chair is very comfortable. Free coffees and warm breakfast hit the spot. They observed Covid safety measures.. We love this place!

Some of the bathroom fixtures are falling apart and may need fixing.

The breakfast was good. Bacon and eggs which my autistic son ate so we were good. The location is good and the room pretty good. The staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly and I would recommend this place for the future.

The breakfast time was short and we didn’t get a chance to go back in before it closed.

What a wonderful breakfast! we stayed at another highly rated hotel in town, but this hotel way outdid the breakfast from the other hotel.

Our room had some wear and tear including a whistle when the a/c unit shut off and the bathroom didn’t look as new and pristine as it probably once did.

Exceeded my expectations. This hotel is clean, sheets are soft and the free breakfast was great! Bacon, sausage, omelets, among other choices. The gym is really nice, with 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, a bike, and dumbbells, you can get in a great workout. If we ever need a place to stay in Van Horn again, we will be staying here.

I do feel prices are a bit higher than they should be, but it beats staying at the place next door!

Great little hotel with a full breakfast

Elevator was broke Also I Made a mistake with my reservation booked it for the wrong night I got charged for both reservations and I can't seem to get my money back from hotel or booking.com

Variety of choices, omelette, sausage, cold or hot cereal, pastries, fruit, yogurt etc. very clean and well organized. Attendant there to clean or help guests. Our room was very clean, comfortable bed, amenities like coffee, soap, shampoo and conditioners in dispensers. Plenty of electronic charging plugs. Pleasing colors and welcoming lobby. Pet friendly.

They staff was not enthusiastic welcoming. It was just like, Oh Hi. Staff needs to be more enthusiastic, energetic, welcoming, happy. I was annoyed again that there are none to 1 luggage cart. This hotel is ALWAYS booked. And good luck getting a luggage cart. They need at least 4 luggage carts, 6 would be ideal. When I asked the front desk they guy literally shrugged his shoulders. So inattentive and unconcerned with the guests.

Our shower didn’t have a plastic curtain & water got all over the floor. As we mopped up, it was obvious that the floor has been soaked several times before. Grout was loose or not there at all, & several tiles were loose. A great way to get mold under your tiles & possible leakage down to the lobby.

The property was very clean, conveniently right off the freeway, the place was well lit, nice facilities.

Continental breakfast was not as accommodating as we’ve experienced in the past. We came down 1hr before they stop serving and there wasn’t much of a selection.

The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant. He gave us a great dinner recommendation. The breakfast in the morning was one of the better hotel breakfasts we've ever had. Lots of options to choose from!
