Great location, friendly staff. Suite style room would be nice with more people.

Very few and dim lights on light switches. Plenty of lamps, but a pain to come home to a dark room. Suite style room is no larger than a standard hotel room, but moves the bathroom to the middle of the space. Sitting room dark with no windows, so spent all my time in the bedroom area. The bedroom area is just a bit larger than the bed. No view (side of another building), but I would have had the shades closed anyway. Minimal public facilities (no gym, etc) but not a problem with how much walking I always do in Blacksburg.

very convenient location just a few minutes walk to Virginia Tech campus. on site sheltered parking. many restaurants close by. very comfortable bed, beautiful bed linens. all rooms like mini suites with sitting room and bed room. best value dollar for dollar in town by far. spotlessly clean.

i liked everything and have no negative comment. I will say that even though they offer coffee in the lobby and in the room one possible improvement might be to offer breakfast. but, since there is a coffee maker in the room and a refrigerator and a microwave and since Our Daily Bread bakery and a big Kroger are nearby it is possible to have everything you might want for breakfast in your room ready when you are.

Easy walk to upper quad or squires/library area of campus. Clean room! Extra star for a nice large soft towel. Big shower with good water pressure. Room layout offers privacy for parent/teen shared occupancy. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Living area is kind of cramped and no table for eating. We used the end table for this and as a coffee table. Hide a bed was, well, a hide a bed. The wet bar is nice for an extra sink, but the fridge is small with no freezer compartment and is in a cabinet so it’s hard to get to. Main Street traffic can be loud.

The staff was fantasic - proactively engaging, warm, and helpful! The room had plenty of space. The shared balcony and common areas were beautiful and convenient. Couldn't have asked for a better location, especially since there is on-propety parking.

The rooms were very dated in style (though clean) and dark (the lighting was lacking and odd). There were details that seemed to be unnecessarily neglected (Examples: old, weak shower head that needed servicing or replacing, chipped paint, old decor, etc). I would not stay here in the future for full price unless it was renovated (or discounted).

Excellent location downtown Blacksburg! Restaurants in walking distance so no need to get your car out of the garage all the time. Still very guiet hotel. Spacious room with separate sitting area

Cleaning is done only every 3 days which was a bit of a surprise to us, trash pins were getting full. Our safety box did not work, we told reception about it the first day we arrived but it was not fixed during our 4 night stay.

it was a very attractive place in a convenient location and at a good price. I really liked the way the sitting area was separated from the sleeping area since I get up much earlier than my husband!

It was hard to get the heat adjusted so that the room was a comfortable temperature. With the unit set at 70°, it was extremely hot in the room, and even set at 58° it was too warm for sleeping.

The location in downtown Blacksburg was excellent, in walking distance to shops, restaurants, etc. The rooms were small but very efficient, quiet and comfortable. Parking was free and very convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we received great value.

There was no breakfast or snack items to buy. Rooms, however, had a mini fridge and microwave.

As a solo woman I was given a pass to the parking garage across the street. I was told this was because people had gotten there before me and there were no spots left in the garage. Although, I did see people who arrived after me getting those hotel passes. Anyway, I disagree with this policy. First come first served should mean whoever is staying at the hotel and drives into the parking garage after dinner first should get the spot at that time. The across the street parking should be the overflow and EVERYONE should have the opportunity to park in the hotel garage if they are lucky enough to not stay out all night, or I’d they choose to stay out half the night, be forced to park across the street and walk through a dark parking garage at night. That is my only complaint.

Huge room right on main street so you can walk everywhere! We had to park across the street at a garage, which wasn't too bad. My only complaint was that the walls were very thin so you could hear people next door. But the price, room size and location were perfect!!!

The location was ideal. It was in the heart of downtown Blacksburg, walking distance to restaurants, Virginia Tech, etc. and close to Cascade Falls (a fantastic hike and waterfall). Also, it was nice to stay at a smaller facility that is a not cookie-cutter chain hotel. Liked the suite-style set up over one large room. Friendly staff, easy parking.
