Marina Bay Hotel & Suites, Ascend Hotel Collection

The lobby decor was great! I love that there was plenty of seating and I loved all the ropes. the staff was helpful, listened to our needs, and gave advice about places to go on the island. I love the water views on the back. We enjoyed the pool, and our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. The breakfasts were great! I loved that they had French toast one morning, eggs with cheese, and turkey sausage (we don’t eat pork).

There was nothing I didn’t like, but I wish we had gotten a room with a balcony overlooking the pool and/or the water.

We loved this hotel. The staff was amazing at helping us through issues on Bookings end, and the facilities were clean and modern.

Our negative experience was with Booking itself. We arrived at the hotel, and they had no record of our reservation through Booking.com. Absolutely nothing. Luckily, they had rooms available and were super accommodating and able to get my family (with 2 young children) into a room and called Booking on our behalf. But now I'm dealing with accidentally being charged twice, once by Booking and once by the hotel, which I'm waiting on a refund, but now I'm out all that money until it's processed. I am unlikely to use Booking again to book future stays anywhere.

On par with name brands that I'm familiar with. Like Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn.

Main entrance has a very steep lip at the 1st door that was a bit of a tripping hazard to those who don't look down to notice it.

The welcome staff especially Dennis was friendly and funny! The lobby is adorable and decorated well. The room was comfortable and clean I just wish we had chosen a better view then the parking lot but we were only there for one night. I didnt get to check out the pool first hand but it looked clean and was a nice size. Plenty of parking. Free Breakfast was a nice added bonus. We will definitely stay here again.

The price was a little high compared to other locations. No ice machine on the 2nd floor. the hotel "store" is too small and didn't offer very much.

Breakfast was good, the cleaning staff was great and most of the staff was outgoing & friendly.

I originally arrived earlier than check in and was met with an abrupt attitude from the young woman at the desk. I wasn’t asked if I’d like to store my bags until my room was ready and had to ask to give me a call if my room was ready earlier. She wasn’t down right rude, but she wasn’t warm & friendly! When I did check in at 4PM a different staff was there and they were great!

Location, decor and views. The breakfast was hot or old-whatever you decide. You can choose between waffles or buffet or cereal or pastries and muffins. Beverages are: coffee, juices or hot teas.

There’s only one tiny negative. The lights would not stay on. We figured it out fairly quick but there was no direction by staff or in the book in the room that you had to stick your key card in the slot on the right of the door (and leave it in) to get the lights to work. This should be discussed or put in the book.

Check in was easy - room was great. I forgot an item in my room and they immediately reached out to me and offered to mail it. Everyone was friendly and pleasant.

Breakfast was a little disappointing. When I got there their was only eggs left for hot food. They did indicate they were bringing out french toast in about 5 minutes.

The Staff was pleasant and very attentive to your needs. In the morning when they ran out of waffle mix the cook came out made more and even made me a plate of hot ones. The staff at the front desk was wonderful and very friendly. The cleaning people were so nice and catered to what you needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Could switch up on the sausage everyday. Bacon or Canadian ham would be a nice change.

We arrived at 4:40pm, and they said the rooms wasn't ready because they were still cleaning, we need to wait 30 min al least, and nothing... we received the keys rooms after one hour waiting!!! And that because we went to the reception to asked for it, when she checked, the keys were there all the time, she got confused and just offered and apologize. When we entered to the room the trash can was full!!! They don't take the trash out! That was a bad experience with the staff... the hotel was nice, like the location and installations.

Wonderful. Decor is aesthetically pleasing, very nicely designed. It's actually what caught my eye when I was searching hotels, as ambiance is important for me. I was not disappointed when I arrived in person.. Everything looks new, sheets felt fresh and crisp, pillows and bed are comfortable, no bad smells you might expect in some hotel rooms. Everyone is incredibly nice and attentive from the front desk to the breakfast room staff. The room was more spacious than I would have anticipated, so it was very nice for me and my three kids without feeling cramped. You have a great view of the ocean from the pool. It's all good! Would definitely go again or recommend to a friend.

There is not much I didn't like. If I was forced to say something I'd say Breakfast food is the typical overprocessed prepackaged breakfast food, but was decent enough and there was enough variety of things like scrambled eggs and sausage to muffins, cereal, juice, coffee. Its actually fine. Put it this way, we didn't leave hungry.
