Omak Inn

The Omak Inn is an older facility but is mostly kept up very well. The room was large and comfortable, and the bed was comfortable, and we liked the small daybed/couch. We also liked that there was an EV charger for our plug-in hybrid RAV4 Prime. Unfortunately it's the ONLY EV charger in Omak, so when we went to dinner in town, a Tesla took the charger! The hotel should work with local and state partners to get a second charger, as there is clearly a need. The breakfast was also much bettter than expected! The waffle maker and fresh local cherries were a nice touch!

The phone in the room was just regular land line, and there was no way to call the front desk ,or another room. The staff was apparently not aware of that, and told us just to dial "0" which just got a dial tone! Also we had to close the curtains using one of the pants hangars from the closest as the hangers a the top of the curtains were broken! The curtains were not black out curtains, and even after we managed to "close" them with the pants hangar, the very bright security lights over the parking lot outside our window illuminated the room brightly. Fortunately I had an eye mask whick allowed me to sleep.

Katy checked us in. What a delight she was! Greeted with a friendly smile!! She was helpful and explained everything!! We have been here before and I asked about a few things that we have experienced in the past and she was nice enough to explain things! It looked like they have done some remodeling. But need to either clean shower heads cuz of hard water deposits or replace them. Would make for better water pressure, I think. Breakfast was good the first morning but not so good the second morning. Biscuits & gravy was served the first morning but not the second. The eggs and potatoes didn't look like they were worth eatting. Yogurt selection could be better.... Mandarin oranges not so good for yogurt choice. Love strawberry yogurt... simple! Waffles always good!! When we checked out, I was greeted by a NON-smiling person who seemed to not want to be there! She gave me a receipt and I was on my way... We visit Omak often cuz I have family here and will probably stay here again.... it is cheaper than staying at the Peppertree next door. A shout-out to the housekeeping lady on Sunday.... she was very patient & kind....we checked out alittle late (I did ask for a late check out though) but she didn't seem to be put out by our late checkout! Thank you!

The breakfast selections in some areas.... The Front Desk staff should be more uniformly dressed. They were very casual! I wasn't sure who worked there! There was no consistency; even dressed in the same color would be an improvement! A simple pullover shirt would be easy enough also.

Omak Inn was really a surprise for me. Considering the price I was not expecting much but it was really a pleasant one night stay. Staff was nice and helpful, room spacious and clean. Cute restaurant across the street. Closed pool and stinkey smell of weed in a hallway was not promising, but when I entered into our room, it really smelled nice. Huge clean room. You could've seen that it is an older Inn but a bit updated and well maintained. Bed was huge and it was really quiet, had a really good night of sleep there. The breakfast was ok, considering the price. The only thing that I think they should work on, besides the smell in hallway, is a towels update. They were clean, but really old, some changed a color and had old stains. Anyway, it can not be a 10 because it is not a 5 stars hotel, but I would stay here again, so that says a lot.

That even though I accidentally booked our room for the wrong night, they were still able to accommodate us with a room for the right night.

That they couldn't do anything about charging me for a " No show" the previous night. I have been traveling with Booking.com for over 15 yrs having reached a level 3 Genius status so was hoping they could give me a break on the cost of the "No Show" because I was very ill and on strong medication when I made the reservation.

The hotel clean and neat. My room (king size) was large, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. The Staff was pleasant and helpful. It could use some decor updates, but I was there 3 nights and appreciated that the room was clean and very quiet, which was what I needed. Saved money over the updated hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff!! The new colors in the renovated rooms are light and airy! Very appealing!

The hotel is still doing a few upgrades!! The carpet in the hallways is dirty looking!! Our bathroom needed some extra TLC in the cleaning department. The edges and corners of the bathroom floor were abit dirty! The shower curtain was torn. Just looked like someone wasn't paying attention to details. The maid I talked to was new to the hotel. There are signs posted stating they are short staffed!! And had restrictions on the cleaning of the room if you were staying several days but would be willing to accommodate your needs if you asked! Their room card machine was broken so they had to let us into our room personally... Was abit frustrating but they were very polite and apologized for the inconvenience!

Second time here in the last few weeks. Asked for the same room and got it, syper comfy. Thankfully the power stayed on all night this time 😁 Staff was great, place is clean, and the restaurant next door was superb!!

Need a little bit of care in the parking lot to get rid of the ice build up,and the tv only used part of the screen for the show, couldnt get rid of the side tv menu.

As I was bringing my travel items in from my car, I was unexpectedly greeted by an employee that not only offered to help, but carried my heaviest item up the required stairway to my room with a smile and offer to be of further assistance. My room was exactly fitted for a professional person on the move. AND, the mattress was not overly worn with depressions or uneven surfaces!

IN MY OPINION, the insulation around the door, IF replaced on all four edges WOULD assist with hallway noise intrusion. The stairway carpets appeared somewhat soiled, and a much needed sip of HOT coffee at check-in would have been appreciated.

It was clean and comfortable, we rode in during a heat warning so the air conditioning was a huge plus. Mexican restaurant just across the parking lot was good, and it kept us from having to get back on our bikes.

The room had a funky smell. It was like a chemical covering a smell of something trying to cover a smell. It wasn't unbearable or too strong to handle, We just both immediately noticed it when entering.

Our room was very clean and larger than most motel rooms. The bed was very comfortable! The location was great. We had lots of choices of restaurants to walk to. The mexican restaurant right beside the Omak Inn was excellent. There is a shopping mall within walking distance. All the staff were friendly and helpful! We enjoyed our first night stay so much we returned for a second night.
