Winthrop Inn

Price was affordable for the area compared to other lodging options. Checking in was a good experience and the staff was very friendly. There's river access a few hundred yards behind the inn which makes it feel like your own private river access where you can bring chairs and enjoy the river on a hot summer day. The market and pizza spot are walking distance from the inn which was a bonus.

We were on the second (top) floor and it was outdated compared to our friends who were on the first (bottom) floor. Their room had modern laminate flooring and trim. Our room was not remodeled and the carpet still had a bit of a "dirty" feeling. Hopefully they are planning to renovate the other rooms. If so, then this place is an affordable option.

For the price, the room was just fine. There was lots of room, there was a small fridge and microwave and there was a table to work at, plus some other clear floor space. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The hot tub was great. It is very close to the ski trails and relatively easy to walk to all things in Winthrop. Also pretty central for all ski trails access.

The hotel is pretty tired and old. But you get what you pay for, so did not expect more. The bed was a bit too soft for our liking, but again that's a personal preference. Windows are pretty thin and the walls are pretty thin, but none of that disturbed our stay.

When we arrived at the hotel at 3pm there were a few people waiting to check in that arrived around 2pm,we all had to wait till 4pm. Maybe you have your reasons but the other couple seemed annoyed by that. Seems later than most hotels and surely some rooms were ready earlier. The pool was out of commission,a bit disappointing. Also the breakfast didn’t start till 8am,seems a bit late.

Room was clean and a decent size. comfortable bed and nice shower. Quiet at night time, and the room had a fridge, microwave and coffee machine. Plenty of off street parking and helpful staff. An excellent stay for me!

My room was on the ground floor so when I opened the curtains in the morning people in the parking lot could look straight in. It felt a little like being in a fish bowl🤣🤣 Mayne some lace curtains!!

Room was large, very clean, nice amenities like coffee maker. Good shower, excellent bed comfort. A/C much appreciated on a Hot weekend. Apparently we missed the office staff by five minutes, but our rooms info was taped to the office door.

Too bad we had to check out before breakfast, and since we arrived late, could not coordinate anything else with the staff. Pool was not functioning but we had no time for it anyway.

Our room was very nice with a great balcony to stargaze and have a glass of wine. Great assortment of coffee to get us started the next day and easy check in and check out. We were traveling with our dog and they had a great pet area,

They charged me for my room a month before I arrived even though they said I could cancel up to 3 days before my stay. I couldn't get wifi in my room.

Room size and arrangement was perfect. Loved having a small balcony for morning coffee as well. The nice park area down by the river was awesome!

I was disappointed that the pool was not in working order. I was so looking forward to taking a dip. The outside stairs were kinda sketchy, as they were old, rotted and appeared to have not had any maintenance for MANY years.

We asked for a room upstairs, and they did accommodate this. Our room was dated, bit clean and comfy. We did not need our room attended too, but staff was good about changing out our towels when we asked. Staff was great, very friendly!

The outlets in our room were too big to hold any of our chargers or hairdryer. However, talking with management, we learned that it was under new management, and the rooms were all being remodeled. He did make note of the problem with the outlets.

The host were very nice to work with. Access to the room was convenient. Motel was set back slightly from the road which helped with vehicle noise. There was a small walking area behind the motel along the river to enjoy.

Dated motel layout had narrow stairwells. Even though set back somewhat from the highway, being a light sleeper I noticed occasional vehicle noise from passing traffic (I feel selecting a room on the back (east) side of the motel would alleviate this issue.

We stayed here because it was the only hotel in Winthrop we could find that allowed dogs. The staff (desk manager) was very nice. The room was clean and comfortable but in needs of a little update

My only comment would be it needs a a bit of an update but everything worked. The AC & WiFi we’re great. I’ve stayed in some upscale rooms with crummy WiFi so this was awesome. We were in room 109 and the router was literally 10 feet from our room
