Northwoods Best Inn - Chetek

The staff where friendly and extremely helpful. The king room we got was cute and cozy. Definitely took a bath in the big tub every night. The breakfast that was offered was more then expected. I was thinking they would only offer muffins and instant oatmeal but there was much more. They gave fresh fruit, diffrent types of cereal, diffrent types of bread and bagels, packaged eggs and breakfast sandwiches. Definitely everything was more then I expected so I'm vary happy and satisfied with my stay. If I go back up north I'll definitely book agian.

Excellent variety of hot & cold breakfast foods & beverages. Had plenty of towels. Room much bigger than anticipated. Pet friendly.

Wished there were bigger trash cans in our room as we had to leave some trash next to full trash can & on sink counter. Breakfast table was not cleaned between patrons & hand sanitizer not found at check-in counter or breakfast area. Also, would have preferred a room further away from noisy pool or lobby but do not think that is an option with the spa tub rooms. Local restaurants do not offer delivery, but hotel offers pizzas for $12-14.

The breakfast was excellent. The neatness, cleanliness, and variety of offerings was appreciated. I have stayed here several times before, and will again.

This is a minor dislike, and I don't want to tarnish my review with it, but since they are the only "real" motel in town, they can charge more. They are about 15% higher than similar motels in similar venues.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

I did not like that we arrived at 2:25 in the afternoon and the person at the front desk said he could not let us in. He said it was because the cleaning staff was still there and therefore we had to come back a half an hour later, after traveling for five hours being asked to come back later was very inconvenient.

We had rude guests the next room over and asked to be moved. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a different room. We understand the Hotel cannot control how guests will behave. Other than this, our stay was pleasant. All staff we encountered was very very nice, pleasant and professional.

The breakfast was ok, my husband prefers fresh scrambled eggs, but we managed. The rooms were clean and front desk staff was always friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the cable television service.

One day we had to ask for towels, but we both understand that sometimes things get missed. Front desk was very quick to get them for us. Also - a construction crew moved into the hotel and they were a bit noisy. Again, we understand.

Breakfast was good.

No exceptions on checking in. All I wanted to do was secure my room.. we had a family function to go to and I wasn’t sure how late we would be and didn’t want to drive all the way back to just check in. They still would not let me, said the computer system wouldn’t let them 😕

Exceptionally sincere, friendly staff throughout! Breakfast also very good--wide range of healthy options. Very sunny room during unusually cool weather--didn't even need heater on during the day. Ample, easy parking. Pleasantly decored with North Country (cabin/snow) prints. Warm hot tub and large swimming pool. Comfy bed and pillows. Many thanks!!!

While walls were not completely sound-proofed, neighbors were very polite.

We were in the area and wanted to check in early (1:00) on a Thursday and they said it was not possible because they were still cleaning the rooms. I believe that there were probably plenty of rooms that were available that they could have accommodated us as many other hotels/motels will do so.

We were initially a bit shy regarding staying at this facility due to its name, as your usual premise is, if the business has to heavily promote itself, in its public name. possibly something is amiss with its service or product(s). Not so at the Northwoods Best Inn. Briana greeted us with a smile and and eagerness to make us welcome. She was efficient, yet personable. Other staff members with whom we interacted were similarly helpful and welcoming. The comfortable king room we had was nicely appointed with just about everything we could have desired. We especially liked how clean the facility was. We would definitely stay at the Northwoods Best Inn again.
