Quality Inn Rhinelander

The location was fine for the traveling we were doing. We did not go down for the breakfast as we were located at the back of the building.

The stay was nice and the entry area was updated, but the hallways and our room were a little dated. The hallway and stairs need some brightening up and the hallway had a weird smell all the way to our room. The room was nice but the wall paper was starting to do some peeling at the seems. There was a little mold spotting on the caulk in the tub.

Very short staffed and our room wasn't cleaned when we arrived. And no housekeeping on site as it was after 4:00 so we had to switch rooms and they took that room out of service. We had a mobility impaired room (mainly for the lack of elevator and the low toilets common in hotels) and they were able to get us into another ground floor room but we still had to deal with the low toilets and a tub.

I know you are currently under construction, however, the rooms smelled musty, the bathroom toilets are low and not high and the light in my bathroom took a bit to work and turn on. The door shut hard, like it was swollen from being damp?

I was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel and I think it is underrated. I have stayed at a few hotels in the Rhinelander area and this is the nicest I've stayed at. The first thing I always check is the linens, and the bathroom for cleanliness - my number 1 priority. This room was spotless, not a hair in sight anywhere in the room. The hotel is slightly dated and the tiles in the shower had some mildew but you could tell they had been cleaned well. Even the ledges on top of lamps/pictures etc were dusted and cleaned. I have stayed in $200 a night hotels that were much less clean. The bed was a bit firm but the linens were clean and soft. The air conditioner rattled a bit but it did not bother us. There was an expansive breakfast with real ham, fried potatoes, eggs and waffles. The front desk was also friendly when we checked in. We did not bring our dog this time but they had a number of very nice, quiet outdoor areas for pets or just for relaxing. Our view from our room was just a nice lawn and trees. I will stay here again if I'm in Rhinelander.

The pool room has a fun retro 90's vibe but the entire area could use a good power washing - walls, floors, everything. The hot tub was clean but not hot at all. There were some very old arcade games which were fun but some were broken. I still would not consider any of this a deal-breaker!

The breakfast was ok. The facilities were very good and we enjoyed our stay. The staff was great, I like the staff the best. They were very helpful.

The cost was high for what you got. I found another hotel for half the price on my trip home and they were a grade above. It was sad that they took advantage of people with such a high price.

That they were able to find a room for us. Booking did not confirm the reservation with quality inn. Therefore no reservation.

Enjoyed our stay except...

My wife and I were attending a wedding nearby and needed to see if we could get an early check-in (2:00 instead of 3:00), so we called a week or two ahead of time and were told that this could be done. I also received a confirmatory email that we could check at 2:00 instead of 3:00. However, when we arrived (about 2:15 p.m., the person at the front desk told me that no rooms were available and that we should "come back at 3:00". When I showed her the email she said "come back at 3:00".

In remarkably good shape for an older motel. Room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Hot breakfast was very good.

A couple of minor issues. Breakfast stopped at 9:00. After a long day in the car, the day before, we would have liked to sleep in a little longer. To get to the pool we had to walk through the game room.

My kids and I planned a 3 night trip in Wisconsin, 2 nights in Wisconsin Dells and 1 in Rhinelander. The place we stayed in The Dells was disgusting. It was filthy, smelled horrible, things were in disrepair (hole in shower wall, toilet paper holder broken off wall etc....) they didn't offer a continental breakfast AND they were more expensive. I can not tell you the relief when we showed up at Quality Inn Rhinelander! The outside of the building is large and inviting. The young lady at the desk was just the sweetest thing. There was fresh coffee in the lobby and our room was absolutely spotless. My kids loved the pool, hot tub AND arcade. The continental breakfast was well stocked and set up in a safe way to cut down the risk of Covid. I am pleased with the price I paid for our stay. We love this town and will definitely be back so I'm glad that we found Quality Inn. It will be our go to hotel for future trips.
