Inn of Sheboygan

We have been staying at this cute Motel for many years. For a long time it was the motel that time forgot, which was charming until it needed renovation, which has now happened, and they did a great job. This place is truly old school, and has a great atmosphere. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful, and it is the best deal in town. If you want to visit Sheboygan and really feel part of the City while you stay, this is the place. Sheboygan is an overlooked gem - a great place to stay on a budget. The beach, the restaurants, the farmer's market, the riverwalk with the old school ice cream parlor and mini golf. We decided that next summer we are staying TWO nights! There is now so much to do in Sheboygan that one night is not enough. It has turned into a very eclectic, interesting place to visit, dine and shop. The only reason I know all this is that I lived there from '99-'01, and never stopped visiting after I left (we now live in the Milwaukee area). Sheboygan is now kind of a haven for creatives who can live anywhere via remote work arrangements. You can find a lot of funky shops you won't see anywhere else. I have mixed feelings leaving a review like this since I don't want Sheboygan overrun lol. We went with three heard-to-please teens and they had a blast - we all did.

The location is great--weather permitting, one could walk everywhere, especially to those fine museums and the restaurants on 8th Street. Very quiet. Very friendly and competent staff. Rooms are spotless and there are walk-in showers. There is a very good breakfast place adjacent to the property. Recommend it and would stay again.

Not a deal-breaker, but it would be nice to have coffee makers in the rooms, even microwaves. No elevator to second floor, but that is the typical motel design.

We needed a place to stay It was winter and we had Tickets for the up the block theater We called at the last min. and It was no problem The room was clean Though we had to turn up the heat when we got into our room But everything was great and walking distance from the theater. And we ate breakfast at the next store family resteraunt That was great too We Will defantley keep that motel in mind when staying in Sheboygan Again great resonable clean 2 full beds, fridge room and the price was great too and walking distance from the Stephanie Weill theater

We got there an hour early and the room was ready. Check in was quick. Got in the room and it was clean. It was downtown right next to nice quaint Fountain Park and parking was free to guests. There was a bit of chatter outside at night but mostly quiet.

You had to hold the drain to open it while showering or it'll become a bath although it wasn't a dealbreaker. I just used a tube of toothpaste to hold it open. The bed felt fine when we slept but we woke up stiff. The AC was super loud but we were tired so we didn't care much. Hallway/closet to the bathroom was small; ran into the chair a couple of times coming out of the bathroom.

Given the price, I was pleasantly surprised by the Fountain Park Motel. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and hard-working. The location was a bonus--right across from the park (where I got to hit the Wednesday farmers' market) and a quick drive or 15-minute walk to the restaurant strip in downtown Sheboygan. My only issue was the internet was a little unreliable, which wasn't ideal as I was traveling for work, but apart from that I would happily stay here again.

The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The room has dated decor but the price was very good. The location was close to good restaurants and shops. If you're going to be sightseeing and plan to spend much of your time out, this is a comfortable and affordable place to sleep. I am female and was traveling solo and felt safe. I'd stay again.

Wish there was a microwave to heat up coffee cold brew concentrate in the morning. There was a mini fridge though.

The room was very nicely updated, very clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The attached family restaurant was wonderful. It would have been nice to have a comfortable chair for relaxation in the room.

A comfortable chair would have been a bonus.

While some would deem the furnishings dated, we found them to be lovely. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The a/c unit ran quietly. Room doors are direct to outside, rather than an inside hallway. The shower head looked small and I was apprehensive of the spray it would give but it was great! A perfect spray - enough so get my hair rinsed but not so hard that it beat the dirt off me! Yes, the room is smaller than what we are accustomed to but the walls cannot be changed so just breathe and enjoy your clean, comfortable room. And there was even a deal for breakfast at the restaurant next door but we didn't stay that long to try it out, tho' later our friends told us they go there once a week for breakfast.

The restaurant was a great value added. The staff was very friendly and professional.

The rooms despite being clean are very dated. It feels as if you went into a 1970’s time warp. The tub was also quite slick on the bottom as there was no grippy tape and my roommate fell while showering. Fortunately he was not injured, but an elderly person might not fare as well.

HeardComfortable able to check in early. Quiet good. Neighborhood. Quick check in.stsff pleasent and polite. Would feel comfortable staying there again while i travel. Reasona le rates. Good quality for the price. Would like to try the restaurant. Heard it was good from one of the residents i took care of. Heard owners were very accommodating to custermors needs.

I didn't like the no smoking on the premises. Should be able to smoke in your car.
