Hampton Inn Rawlins

Poor support from the front desk when checking in. Had to wait for an hour to check in because booking.com sent you the wrong confirmation notice number, but the front desk didn’t have the intelligence to check the name on the reservation. Had to pay at the desk for a room that was already paid for through, then ending up with 2 charges for the same room by the error was identified. Then got caught up in a no refund squabble when trying to get one of the charges removed.

The pool was nice. The rooms were clean. We also loved that this hotel was pet friendly. Our kitties were able to get out of their kennels to stretch. They loved sleeping on the chairs. The breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfy. It was located near the main road so we didn't have to go far to get back on the road and traveling.

The room was mostly clean, but there was tape on the ceiling from previous people, and we found popcorn on the floor. We didn't bring popcorn lol. Its nit picky but I wanted to be honest. Our TV didnt work either, at first the remote wouldn't turn on the tv. Then we went to the front desk and got a new remote. It turned the TV on, but would not allow us to select or change channels. They said they just had their system re-done so there is probably still some kinks to work out.

Last minute Booking due to an unexpected closure of I-80 and the staff was friendly and very professional. The facility was clean and the pool and jacuzzi were both up and running. My wife went down to get some breakfast and had the dog with her so she was balancing things, a staff member came up and asked if she need some help getting the food back to the room and she carried the extra plate all the way up to our room on the 3rd floor! Now THAT's some excellent customer care! (And they treated our dogs like guests, too!)

The staff was particularly friendly and helpful. The coffee bar in the reception area was perfect, especially since it was so cold and bleak with snow outside. The breakfast was very good, hot breakfast is always the best. The afternoon cookies were amazing and very much appreciated. A little sugar at the end of the day to perk you up. The staff went out of their way to be helpful with pizza delivery, providing a cleaning brush and scaper for our windshield. Generally very kind staff.

Some of the furniture in the room needed refinishing. The colors of the room were all brown. Maybe a new look could brighten up the room and improve the impression. It was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom also very clean.

I always start these reviews with if I would stay there again. Absolutely yes! The service was incredible. Despite being understaffed, and consider this is in the middle of Wyoming, the desk attendant was amazing. She was polite, friendly, apologetic (for a 5 minute wait to check in), and went out of her way to make us happy. She RAN to the breakfast room to get us some cups, during down time she was at the swimming pool preparing the hot tub, she helped get access to the fitness room when our keys didn't work and she had recommendations on where to eat. I know we are taking about Rawlins, WY but the way she treated us was much much better than we have received in other places big or small. The rooms was clean and comfortable. There are other hotels/motels closer to the center of town that were less expensive but did not look as nice. The other hotels/motels around the same exit (as opposed to the center of town) seemed nice as well.

It is close to the interstate so you can smell the brakes and tires. The swimming pool is indoor and not well ventilated so lounging around the pool watching the kids swim isn't enjoyable. They did let us open the side door and that helped.

It was close to the highway, clean, had a pool and exercise facility, and breakfast. It was very convenient for us since we were traveling along interstate 80.

It needed larger parking spots designated for people traveling with trailers or self drive mobile homes. Quite a few of them were parking across multiple spots for single vehicles in the front of the building.

Very clean and well taken care of. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast had a lot of choices and plenty of seating.

upon arrival, after the check in time, our room wasn’t ready and the front desk staff was unable to tell us how much longer it would be. Luckily, when I went back 10 minutes later it was ready.

Breakfast was good.

Room was too small for my family. Beds were too small also. I thought I was getting a room that sleeps 4 adults and 1 child that was seventeen. I actually got a room that only slept 4, my 17 year old son had to sleep on the floor. We booked last minute and were tired from driving all day.

Had a brief issue with our room, but the staff made changes immediately - and gave us a fantastic room. Spa was wonderfully hot, breakfast was good, and the bed was very comfortable.

Nothing the hotel could do but it was snowing HARD when we got up, after a warm day previously. Aside from that it was a terrific stay.

I was traveling with my small dog, and I was very impressed with the pet policy at this Hampton Inn and that I didn't have to have a separate "pet friendly" room but that they simply deep clean the room for the reasonable pet fee. Also, the breakfast was great.

No complaints about the hotel, but the area definitely had the odor of oil and gas (aka "the smell of money").
