GK Central Hotel

The rooms (when you get what you booked and paid for) are great. Location is also great but terrible at present due to the new nightclub opening up.

We've stayed at the GK many times over the last 8 years and always loved it. This time was horrible. Booked online (we booked the terrace room as we always do). When we arrived, they'd given our room to someone else (we were staying for a week). Put us in an inferior room and reduced the rate by a measly $5. Promised to move us into the right room the following day. A new nightclub facility has opened up and the relentless doof doof music did not stop until 3.20am. It was impossible to sleep so we checked out the next morning. I had make up on a face cloth and the hotel emailed me and demanded I pay for a new one. I won't be back again. Such a shame because we really did love staying at GK

Near everything Ben Thanh market, restaurants, coffee shops and Covid-19’s testing centers. mostly kind and helpful peoples work there.

I asked the front desk that I could stay extra 4 hours because my flight was flying out late on the day checkout, they charged me a whole day . I just went head pay but I was so disappointed…

Location

I stayed in 901 from 3 to 6 Nov 23. The room is nice with a balcony but the aircon was not strong or cold enough to prevent the heat coming through the balcony window. Room was quite hot throughout our stay....Time to look into this. Thanks

Well located just 1 block from Ben Thanh Market. Good food options around the hotel including Street Food, Restaurants and Cafés. GK Central puts on an excellent breakfast with buffet and freshly prepared options. If you don’t like the standard filter coffee they will make you a VN Coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was heavenly, Shower was hot, AC was cold, what more could you want!

The breakfast was ok but you are spoilt for lots of good food elsewhere near the hotel. The staff were excellent and very helpful with anything that you need assistance with. The location is near some touristy spots that make it convenient for visiting sites, especially the market. Most of the night life, however, is a reasonable walk away.

The only thing that was a slight problem was the design of the bath and shower. The gap at the sides and back of the bath channelled all the water onto the floor when using the shower. Once i knew this was happening I moved everything off the floor and let the water drain out behind the toilet. It wasn’t a major issue, just annoying.

Good location in the centre of the city. Close to all the main tourist spots and a quick walk to most bars and cafes. Clean and comfy rooms with good AC.

Was not able to get a pick up organised from the airport. Sent messages and called multiple times but didn't get a reply. Only downside about our stay everything else was great.

Polite & nicely caring staff, clean facilities and great breakfast. The location is also good to visit the market and the touristic district. You won't have any problem staying for a short term. Their breakfast is one of the best ones that I've had in my traveling life. Please try it if you're interested. It's the highlight of my trip this time.

You can hear the music from the nightclub nearby (and vehicles / pedestrians being loud) all night long if your room is along the main street but it's not the fault of the hotel, and I could normally sleep while I just close the window to cut the sound. So I would gladly give a 10/10 to the hotel!

We knew we"d picked a good one as soon as we arrived and saw the well presented entrance. Room was very large, clean and had everything we needed - including a good view. Good range of stuff for breakfast including some interesting choices (beef stew anyone? - was delicious). Excellent location close to Ben Than market and easy walk on pavements you could actually use for the most part, to main city sights

Being on the street side did mean it was noisy but the city does eventually sleep. As all the power turns off when you leave the room you return to a hot house and the AC takes a while to cool it down.

The hotel is very centrally located. From here, the sights are within easy walking distance. The Ben Thanh market is only a few minutes away from the hotel. The hotel rooms are neat and clean. Well equipped. The breakfast buffet was very varied and always fresh. The pho and iced coffee were very tasty. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Nhi, Quan and Son are particularly friendly and attentive. All in all, a very good and centrally located hotel with good service. We would love to come back.
