I didn't like smelling strong perfume every time I went through the lobby I wish there were was no perfume in hotel entrances or maybe just flowers like there used to be. The bathroom had a strong chlorine smell for the first few days Room doors make a loud click when they close

We had breakfast every morning and it was amazing Delicious and the staff were all wonderful. The atmosphere was peaceful and the breakfast area was beautiful. You team from consierge to front desk to every team member were 10/10 and made us feel so welcome. I an in service industry and we need our customers to feel value and experience and welcomed so they tell everyone and return again and I will be telling everyone I know how wonderful it was. T

I work in a bed shop so I'm picky about the beds pillows and linen. The sheets hopefully were clean however there were visible yellowing stains on sheets. They should be bleached out. There is one sheet on top and bottom of Donna and another flat sheet at bottom, it all comes undone easily and you wake with sheets all undone. It should be a fitted sheet on the mattress to hold on place and Donna cover on Donna and sheet under that. Mattress was just a touch firm but everybody type suits different needs. The pillows look great but are just too thick for most heads and cause strain. Again I work in sleep health so that's why I'm extra critical. I should have brought my pillows lol.

The valet staff and women in the elevator were very kind and helpful. Great location, very clean room.

I was only disappointed because there was a $200 temporary deposit that I was not warned about when I booked, I read the fine print. It was not stated clearly that the parking is not free when booking. These two things caught me by surprise at check in. When we arrived in our room the ‘sofa bed’ was not a bed to sleep on. The website clearly encourages three people to stay in the room with one bed and the ‘sofa bed’ but luckily the three of us were small enough to all share the king bed. Felt slightly deceived.

Our 1st time staying here and we were impressed with the service from the time we arrived until the time we checked out. We did a last minute booking and decided to stay overnight for an event we had close by. Parking was very easy to access, past the main front street entrance there is a side street entrance to another lobby which has internal elevator access to main reception. We were greeted within seconds of arrival to park, our bags collected, directed to the elevator up to main reception, where we were greeted again within seconds of arrival to check in with complimentary glass of bubbles. our bags were taken up to our room, whilst we sat in the lounge area with our bubbles discussing our plans for the day. We both liked the atmosphere and ambience of the large seating area, the dining area was spacious and easily accessible, everything was just really lovely. Our room was comfortable, we had a large window with a nice view of surrounding city area. We hadn't eaten all day so felt like a quick something to eat before we left for our event, informed dining opens at 5pm we arrived about 3pm, we were advised there was still in room dining available if needed. Within minutes of arriving to our room, we had complimentary snacks and a bottle of wine delivered to our room, what an unexpected pleasant surprise. If this is the standard of service we can expect from the Marriott, we will not hesitate to stay again. Our event was within walking distance, however, we asked reception if they would mind calling a cab for us. Pick up and drop off is immediately out front. We booked breakfast inclusive and again we were NOT disappointed. Choices of breakfast was very good and again service was fantastic. Good Job Marriott and All your staff from start to finish. Buffet Breakfast was delicious, great selection and choice, M.M. was happy his mushrooms, tasted like mushrooms. Will and have recommended staying here.

If there is one thing I could recommend to top off our stay. We had a room with a separate bath and shower. I would love to have had a bath bomb or magnesium salts available for the bath to use after an evening out. Yes, did use it. Other than that, we were very happy.

From the smooth checkin to the quick checkout was done with friendliness and very good customer service. I had a little hiccup with my room with the luggage still in the room from the guests before me, it was sorted very quickly & by way of an apology I had lovely cheese platter and a bottle of wine sent to my room. I have stayed at the Marriott previously, and thought it was good but this time I give it a 10 for the outstanding service and friendliness of all the staff.

The morning staff were amazing, they were so friendly, and they couldn’t do more for us, they were great with the kids making sure they had plenty to eat and offering them extra food when they had noticed they hadn’t eaten to much. They are the reason why we would return. Check out staff were also great and very helpful.

We booked a river few but apparently we were upgraded to a city view, which wasn’t to much of a city view so that was disappointing, we were definitely downgraded. The rooms were clean but tired with lots of marks on the furnitures and the mattress looked very used, not what we remember from when we use to stay before covid.

the staff were amazing, lots of lovely personal touches. they sent a birthday cake with happy birth written around edge of plate for our friends 60th birthday we didn’t ask for it so it was such a lovely surprise

The buffet breakfast was nice but didn’t cater to gluten free guests very well, I had wanted toast with my egg and was given a very dried up hard piece of toast. i then asked for some bread hoping that it would be nicer if i toasted it myself but it was just the same. Its very disappointing that gluten free guests aren’t catered for. There is some delicious gluten free products out in the market.

I was charged an extra fee at 5:30pm after checking out that day. Some sort of merchant fee. I got an email with the new total, it wasn’t much but it was different to the receipt I was given at checkout. Admin quickly fixed this up for me so no issues. aside from that I cousins fault the hotel.

All the staff were always happy to help and nothing was ever too much trouble for them. the room and stylish and we got breakfast included. It was amazing. really impressed.

The first night the sheet on my bed did not fit the full bad, so it was annoying. second night was the same, I asked for it to be changed for one that fitted and it got done straight away. The check in out process was the down call, when my bill came there was quite a few things on there that we hadn’t had. The receptionist handle it really well and got them taken off straight away.

The room had no road noise which was a factor of why I chose the Marriott.

1/ Only one towel in the room upon arrival 2/ Complementary water had been opened and re filled. 3/ Paid extra for a river view ( thinking it would have storey bridge views) only to have a minimal view of the river between 2 buildings. My room was 2014. 4/ Being told there were amazing views of the storey bridge on level 4 ( pool, gym) would have been nice to know by reception upon arrival.
