Shangri-La Gardens

From the moment I walked into reception to book, I was treated so well by this family run establishment. I cannot fault anything about Shangri-La. I was needing to stay nearby my ill mother during her final days and they went above & beyond to make me comfortable during a very hard time. Even the housekeeping were friendly and warm. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Everything about this lovely gem of a hotel was outstanding.

Convenient for work, quiet and reasonably priced. Getting breakfast is great although it wasn't quite as nice as we had received on our previous visit.

Squeezy soap dispensers - impossible to use with arthritis. the WiFi didn't seem to work for us and there are no staff on site to go and talk to. No phones in the room either. However, in the morning the ladies were able to give me some shampoo and soap I could use.

The bed was super comfortable and room clean and modern. location was good and parking right in front of the room was great and convenient. The complimentary breakfasts packs in the fridge was a bonus.

The restaurant is closed but all the signs are still up. The shower head was too high pressure it was almost painful to stand under. we also had a plumbing issue in the middle of the night where the toilet started running and we had to turn off its water - but things like this just happen and of no fault.

Clean, spacious room with hot shower and great water pressure. Room turned over each day. Free light breakfast every morning. Excellent location not too far from anything. Heaps of parking.

Bed was uncomfortable with springs poking through the mattress. Restaurant is permanently closed, so a microwave in the room would be very handy. Could not connect to the wifi.

Breakfast was very good, lots of variety. The rooms were large and having the sitting area was great for visits between other groups staying for the wedding we were in Wynnum for. Rooms were so quiet even though on a main road.

Bathroom soaps could have been checked as very difficult to squeeze or maybe empty. Tea & Coffee supplies were rather limited when 2 people in a room. A more definite Reception sign as a bit hard to find being at closed restaurant/function place rather than near motel rooms.

Breakfast box was good. Walked up and got Red Rooster for an easy dinner the night of arrival - nice and close, easy walk (200 metres). Parking in front of the unit was good, offering covered protection. We requested a "walk in" shower because of my wife's limited mobility, this was provided - thank you very much, much appreciated.

Unfortunately the restaurant is permanently closed, but as I mentioned above, easy options close by - fast food outlets and tavern near by.

Nice renovated modern bathroom. The room was very quiet and a good size. The continental breakfast was great. It included yoghurt, museli, fruit cup, milk and an orange juice. There was also a kettle with hot chocolate, tea and coffee available. The aircon was nice and cold once it got going.

The bed felt like maybe it was two singles pushed together or something as there was a rise in the middle of the bed. This made it a bit awkward as I wanted to sleep in the middle of the bed, but ended up sleeping on one side due to the rise in the middle. I assume this was caused from indentations either side from where couples have slept. I am not too sure. It wasn't really a big deal though and it didn't alter the enjoyment of my stay, I just found it a bit awkward.

The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the little breakfast pack is a nice touch. The grounds are quite nice and are very tidy. It is also very close to the shopping center and tavern.

We were very disappointed that the restaurant was closed and that the reception was also closed upon arrival. I had to ask the cleaner how we were to check out as we were not given any instructions when we checked in and there were no instructions in the room.

The accomodation is super clean and quite. The design of the room is nice and facilities are wonderful. The towel is clean and crispy. We got some options for tea. I like the continental breakfast package in fridge. Love the hand soap, body wash & shampoo.

My lovely ones dislike the pillow. But I'm ok with it. I have no complain. All good.

Incredible motel.. Clean, well presented, nice breakfast included in the fridge along with 2 bottles of water. Nice little touches that make travelling that bit more comfortable. Speaking of comfortable...nice beds are a bonus! My only request (and its not a complaint at all) would be the addition of a microwave to heat milk for coffee. We will definitely be back.

That this isn't my regular motel. I would love to spend more nights here.
