Greenmount Beach House

Excellent location overlooking beautiful beaches, short walk to cafes restaurants and parks.

Perfumed air fresheners and overuse of cleaning products not great for allergy sufferers. Dated decor in some rooms.

Location is fantastic, a short walk distance to Twin Towns and the main street and a myriad of cafes and restaurants, and of course the beach. On arrival reception staff were professional and welcoming. Our room was clean and looks like it has had an update in recent year or two. The bed was really comfortable (though quite high - nearly required a ladder to climb up, LOL). Nice pillows too.

The poor old building and surrounds are really really showing their age. We were on side facing the river. Don't look down as you'll see exactly what I mean - it's fairly obvious that maintenance is fairly cursory. The driveway and parking area was full of pretty old-looking potholes, which doesn't create a great first impression. Feels like any maintenance is really only a bit of a façade, marking time until the place is bulldozed. Paint and pictures. A bit sad really. Don't get me wrong, we're happy with our stay but sad to see how it has been let go.

We were able to book in earlier for our room and we were amazed at how this old resort had been so well maintained . The size of the bed and its comfort was awesome .The Beach House was close to the Shops and we were able to walk to the Lifesaving club for lunch. The view from our balcony was serene and inviting. Sunday morning the markets slong the Strand were fantastic . We will definitely book again.

Car parking an issue No air conditioning … couldn't get it to turn on ..used the fan and there was a great breeze through balcony door. No other issues. The room and resort were amazing.

How I was upgraded to an ocean view . Absolutely stunning and sound s of ocean at night amazing and calming. Staff vet helpful too.. including cleaning stagf and front desk staff.🏖️💯🌊🙌☀️

Not having any hot water for a show on the second evening @ 7 pm or 8.30 pm.and then also the following morning @4.30 an and 6!30 am bo hot water. Which it told staff the next Morning. Marco ...I had to leave quickly due to going ona whale Tour near SeaWorld...The. He rang me not long after our tour. To say he would be given me a $85 dollar refund 50 percent of room rate . Due to three not bruny any hot water for a show. So that was outstanding.... Thank you and I will be back..💯🌊🙌🥰🎶✈️

It’s superb location. Comfortable bed. Fantastic ocean views Late check out. The room was kept very clean.

No Foxtel or DVD player. No working restaurant. Pool in an obscure place.No in room brochure to explain Airconditioning or places to eat or things to do. Very noisy at night. Airconditioning revs up, making a fair bit of noise. Our “Executive” room was next to the squeaky lift and undiscoverable tapping noises. Very bad car parking facilities, if in fact you could actually get a spot. Kept forgetting to top up coffee sachets and not enough milk.

The room was very good and recently upgraded. This hotel is a great location, with beautiful views from many rooms. Dont expect Sheraton type quality. This is an older hotel(3.5) but great value and staff

Nothing really although: we stayed a year ago at the hotel. We left with the room key; tried to post it back but you can send keys in the mail. So we bought it back and I thought they would have rarely appreciated what we had done, but no response and all pretty nonchalant. Not a biggy but disappointing. I guess its about attitude, its often the small things that count.

This is my 4th visit in 20 years to Greenmount and I was impressed with the renovations. This is my favourite place to stay on the Gold Coast. Across the road from the surf club and beaches, this accommodation was very suitable for us with limited mobility. It is close to Twin Towns and Tweed Mall.Will stay here again soon I hope.

Not much. Parking spaces were not allocated so it was first come, first served. Internet was a bit patchy.No toaster, which would have been helpful when making breakfast.

We had an ocean view. The paint colour was lovely inside. The cleaning staff were very nice. Greeting upon arrival was nice, but I was not given any information. It was my first time staying here and I was not asked and therefore not aware we had daily cleaning services or we could have a microwave if we asked. Not given any information upon arrival.

Microwave would have been good. We didn’t know we could ask for one. When arriving we should have been told more information about the property.

Perfect location, easy to walk to everything, friendly staff and nice ocean view from our room on the top floor (10). Easy beach access to Greenmount Beach and McMahon Beach (a much quieter sheltered bay with water sports). Hotel has been renovated and tried to modernise. Pool area was good.

Carpark is way too small for the number of guests so we often had to find street parking nearby, which was a nightmare in the school holidays. Has the slowest elevator known to mankind, with only 1 of 2 lifts functional. An ice cube tray in the freezer would’ve been handy for making drinks.

We were upgraded to an ocean view for our honeymoon, the rooms were well made and had everything you need. View was great and the pool and slide were really enjoyable

Rooms were slightly outdated and the bathroom was outdated and small also. I will say we were very unhappy with the shower, everything was okay until we realised that the shower would randomly turn to scalding hot. Assuming this has something to do with the plumbing but I did end up with quite a nasty burn down my back after the water randomly went from pleasant to burning hot in seconds
