Tessa's on the Beach

The location couldn't be better, mere steps from a stunning beach and nice flat walking or cycling track that goes for KMs along the waterfront. Barry was excellent in terms of advice and response time in the lead up to our visit, which helped greatly with booking restaurants and figuring out our itinerary for our weekend stay. Reception staff were cheerful and friendly. We were able to borrow bikes and explore the area on our day of check out, which was fantastic. Super comfy bed! Lovely vibes!

The accommodation was smaller than expected and felt a little cramped, especially the bathroom. I don't think this would be too much of an issue if the price point didn't indicate something a bit more spacious. We were hoping to enjoy a pre-dinner drink on Sat evening around 6.30pm, but unfortunately the bar was shut. Appreciate this may have been due to Barry being off ill (get well soon Barry!), but it was a bit disappointing, again given price point would have expected bar would be open as advertised.

staff were fantastic friendly and helpful. able to get an early check in. bike hire was great and proximity to beach was fabulous. rooms are decorated beautifully

no mats in room so floors got dirty quickly. building works on property were noisy so not very relaxing and kept me from wanting to use pool as drills were going off 1m away. walls are paper thin and you can literally hear engines of planes taking off at airport. no close shops by. tv reception is terrible so unwatchable

We were overwhelmed with the outfitting of the room. Our room was located on the poolside and contained the kitchenette/bar, loungeroom, king sized bed with a TV, bathroom with a double shower and amazing deep bath tub. The pool is so pretty at night and a delicious temperature any time of the day on dinner days. Only a few steps away from the beach it is the perfect location. Upon arrival we were informed that freshly made coffee is on the house and they even provide alternative milks. FYI they know how to make a great coffee too. They have a little bar/cafe and have a great selection of alcoholic beverages. I couldn't recommend Tessa's enough. We will definitely be back.

I thought I was going to stay at a little dump near the airport because I just needed to sleep and wash.!! Well, it was a cute surprise. :) and very comfy. The bar/coffee shop was appropriate and accommodating. The breakfast box filled the void.!!! I did ask for a glass of red wine but the person on duty told me that was not available and offered me a bottle of Moet.!!! I did see the red bottles tucked away the next day... not in the fridge.! The only personal issue was a lack of full mirror. I loved being so close to the beach. Well done Tessa.. Mexico on the gold coast. :) As a travel agent, I will promote.. and as me, I will be back xo

The location, the bed, the comfort, the staff.

There is no option for breakfast and the fact they don't accept kids or dogs. I suppose there is a market for that.

The location to the beach is excellent. The bed was very comfy. The use of bikes. Lovely staff. Parking on site.

Planes taking off was louder than expected. Noise from nearby work site. All people staying at the hotel were put in rooms right next to each other rather than spread out with lots of other rooms vacant so we could hear noise from other rooms. Out room was next to the stairs so we could hear everyone coming and going.

It was clean new well serviced and everything was natural even down to the fact that I couldn’t smell any harsh chemicals when I entered. Having asthma this is a massive positive for me. It had beautiful ocean views friendly staff excellent breakfast box can’t recommend it highly enough. I would recommend anyone to go there and will be booking to go back there soon thinking of booking the whole place for a large workshop. In the pool full of magnesium was a major bonus for our relaxation and health

I liked everything about the property and the people

Beachfront location and unique decor. Handy with bus stops outside and close to airport.

The property is not accessible, there are no lifts and stair access is required in most places. Some of the staff didn’t have a very good grasp of English which was a bit problematic. Housekeeping needs improvement - sheets don’t fit the bed properly and rooms are very stuffy.

The location was spot on! Right on the beach and close to restaurants/shops. The bed was very comfortable. The decor is very cute and functional. The shampoo, conditioner, body wash, moisturiser, tissues and toilet paper were environmentally friendly, plentiful and a nice quality. Rooms and common areas are very clean. The pool was crystal clear. Staff are very friendly to chat to, helpful and gave us a bottle of water each when leaving :)

We didn't have a dishcloth to wipe the kitchenette bench and If this is all we could think of for possible improvements then it is proof the service is high.
