Holiday Inn Express Grande Prairie, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast was great! We had the room next to the boiler room and there was a constant noise from the boiler room. The pool was cold because something was not working. I booked one night with Expedia for $150. and then was charged $50.00 more for that night. I booked a second night in which I did not book with Expedia and paid 200.00 for the room. I thought, what was the point in booking with Expedia if your going to charge me the difference? I will be considering another hotel on my next visit to Grande Prairie.

This hotel shares with another hotel but it’s clear which side is for Holiday Inn because of their signature blue and green bright colors. It’s updated and our room had a sliding barn style noise canceling door between the entrance/bathroom and the bedroom area. The elevator is glass facing out so you can see outside going up. The breakfast associate was very kind and courteous. She served us to help prevent spread COVID. It was very clean and I never heard our neighbors. The fountain in the main lobby is neat. I would recommend! Also great that they accept pets.

The parking ramp would have been fine except we had a 22 foot trailer behind us as we were traveling to Alaska. Thankfully they let us park in the truck receiving area because they didn’t have any deliveries that day.

There was a breakfast buffet in the morning which had a bit of something for everyone. The evening was very quiet and we were very comfortable. Room was more spacious than expected.

There were some food crumbs about the floor but aside from that the room was quite clean

The breakfast was excellent, the room was newly renovated and very nice, staff was fun and competent. Great stay. Will definitely be back again.

The pool room was freezing cold! But the pool and waterslide were lots of fun.

Cleanliness and very accomodating receptionist! kudos to the kind receptionist! my kids love him. since we have a baby, he offered a playpen right away. my kids said they want to stay here again because the receptionist was so nice! kids dont lie😊

The breakfast was meh on the first day but only because they did not have pancakes and bacon on which the great grand kids look forward to. I expressed they're disappointment to the front desk and wouldn't you know it, pancakes and bacon were on the next morning and they kids were thrilled. Thank you!

The only thing I did not like was the particular room I was given. It was on the second floor and we had the overhang outside of our window which blocked the view and the light.

Fantastic customer service and super clean rooms.

Wifi wasn’t strong enough and I had to run a hot spot off my phone data to watch my laptop

Pullout bed very uncomfortable for an adult kids probably fine adult not so much.

The renovations are wonderful! Our only observation was the towel holder is so close to the toilet we had to hang our towels over the shower rod

Attendant could have been more informative - I'd asked for the eggs and whether toast, bacon, etc were available. No answer. Later saw another person with toast, saw the toaster and asked for and received toast. Posted menu didn't advise that several other items were also available. I think the attendant wasn't and English speaker.
