Super 8 by Wyndham Grande Prairie

The beds were comfortable and the hotel was nice looking , the lobby and dining room nice

The air conditioning/heating unit was unbelievably loud , I had the turn it off so I could sleep but it became very hot and I had to turn it on again. I repeatedly turned it on and off all night. When I went to the front desk to get information about laundry, breakfast and to ask for someone to come fix the heater there was no one at the front desk for about an hour. The pool was nice and warm but not exactly cleanest and there is no hot tub. Breakfast was fair but it’s crowded on to a short counter and people were pushing around each other trying to get food. Dryers were filthy. All this but I would go back, I did like the room. And I thought Grand Prairie was worth going back when I had time to look around

We liked the room that we moved to because of key issues. We liked having our grandkids come for a swim.

Sometimes the noise level beside and above our room was abit noisy. Some of the breakfasts were too similar especially if you stay a week.

We had a room next to someone working we were vacationing and the guy next to us was banging on the wall all night then came n knocked on the door telling us to be quiet he has to get up at 4 for work mind you he was drunk anyways! We were cooped up in our vehicle with our family for hours so the kids were excited to get to the room n stretch there legs but the person next to our room wasn't to happy he kept banging on the wall all night scaring our kids even when we were not being loud n trying to sleep he came banging on our door!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Super 8. We stayed in the king room and it was quite spacious and clean and comfy. The bathroom was exceptionally clean 👍 And the pool and the slide was fan-freaking-tastic!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 Really loved it had lots of fun!!! Highly recommended 👌👌👌👌😊😊😊😊😊😊

We broke down and were not able to make our reservation, when we called Super 8 the staff were friendly and understanding and did what they could to help us rearrange our reservation but we ultimately were not able to make it to them.

The staff was absolutely amazing! Taylor was working the front desk when we checked in and she was so speedy and efficient and polite. The room was spacious and comfortable, the pool was so much fun, and the breakfast was perfect. We liked it so much, we stayed a second night!

Kids loved the pool and water slide, and was open long hours so they had plenty of time to enjoy it.

They did not stock bedding for the pullout sofa, even though it was listed as the second bed in our room.

Good location. Complimentary breakfast good to have. Staff friendly

Load/access back door from parking (only choice for parking) BAD spot. Lowers your rating to under 3 stars in our opinion. You walk right by smoking area (at that door) with butts and garbage litter. Then you have to struggle through two doors (not automatic doors) with your luggage. No baggage carts at that door either so have to walk back to front desk to get one! We found out later that we could have loaded up the cart with our luggage at the front door which option was not offered to us at check in. Then you walk right by the laundry room with open door. None of these Is a very good first impression! The mats at the back door and in the elevator are buckled up and a tripping hazard. My partner tripped and almost fell! Also, a bathtub mat should be provided for safety reasons!

Everything else was spick and span. The staff was wonderful as they gave me a thermal blanket to keep warm from the drafty door (door led to the outside, which was great to have access to my vehicle quickly) and they also let me stay later (passed normal late check out time of 1pm) in order to not have to wait at the airport for 4 hours with my cat of which I was incredibly grateful to the manager for allowing, and the breakfast was superb. They did an excellent job serving!

Unfortunately I found a couple of small nail size lines of dried blood on the bed sheets before I went to sleep. It was late so I just ended up removing the sheet. Pet friendly rooms could use some upgrading.

Breakfast staff very accommodating. She delivered food that was not quite ready to our room so we would not have to return downstairs again to pick it up. Thanks!

Room darkening drapery would have been a plus for anyone wanting to sleep later in the morning.
