Residence Inn by Marriott Gravenhurst Muskoka Wharf

Perfect base for a stay in Gravenhurst, right by the lake and at the end of the lakeside boardwalk. Large suite which meant plenty of room for our 17 year old daughter on the sofa bed in the sitting room. Well equipped kitchen. Loved the breakfasts and we enjoyed having the pool and gym available (some of us made more use of these than others!) Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Staff was so kind at the front desk (to me and other guests and my son) patient and kind!! (Tuesday staff particularly) (Also breakfast staff and maintenance) The rooms were big and clean and so comfortable, the bed was soooo comfortable. Really felt lucky and have plans of returning again!!! It was a hotel that accommodated my you g kids (baby and two year old). Seemed very family friendly. So much to explore near the hotel, had a great breakfast and enjoyed a carefree stay. The pool was very fun, as well as clean. Perfect for little ones.

Very little that I didn’t like.

We booked a one room suite for 4 guests. Location was good, room with kitchen was excellent, one king is good for 2 guests, but the sofa bed was uncomfortable for 2 adult, the mattress was old and not very supportable. Other than the sofa bed, no complaints.

Great location, view of bay, reasonable breakfast quality, well-appointed room. Staff were pleasant and helpful, especially when I needed to print a receipt for a local event (boat cruise).

Room wasn't thoroughly cleaned (muffin pieces and socks under couch, fast-food container beside night table), loose tiles in bathroom significantly lowered satisfaction of the room. Staff member hand-picked and delivered breakfast to one guest who did not pre-order breakfast (in full view of others standing patiently in line); when I requested the same service, I was refused. The supervisor who was present and witnessed this did not attempt to intervene. So, one customer got superior service while I and 4 others were made to feel second-class. A little effort could have produced 5 "wow" moments.

For the price of the room, the state of the room EG age of facilities, I would think needs some updating. I would expect this more from a hotel room half the price. The bathroom in particular looked very rough but was still very clean

We stayed at a queen 1br room for 5 days during the month of August. We have 2 little kids and the room was spacious and comfortable for us. The room was very clean and although we didn’t get daily housekeeping services due to COVID, we quickly received everything we needed upon request. We were happy with the hotel’s COVID precautions. Breakfast was of good quality and the staff did a great job organizing the pickups. The pool has a 10 people capacity limit. We used the pool early in the morning and we had it all to ourselves. The frontdesk staff and housekeeping staff were very helpful and nice and helped us with boat rental selection, attractions and places to eat. The hotel is in walking distance from boat rental places and nice restaurants and cafes. We rented a pontoon from Matchless Adventures and had a great experience with them. There’s also the Discovery center next door and the kids enjoyed spending time there. Parking is free and pets are allowed. Overall we had a nice and relaxing stay and look forward to coming back.

What I did like about my stay, first thing the property was clean. The first thing you see anywhere is the parking lot, take the time. The front of house staff are wonderful people, caring of the guest they have. Back of house staff very polite and respectful from what I noticed. Everyone smiles, small thing but big impact. The hotel itself fits in very well with the charm of the local community, taking on a cottage exterior that fits into the landscape well, considering it's a 5 story building. One of the better included breakfasts that I have had.

No fault of the Hotel, however there is a construction project happening next-door. As a trades person the last thing I wanted to look at was "work" out the one window in the room. Also the cleaning staff could use a little closer attention to detail as I did find 1 treat size candy bar wrapper on the floor of the room. That's it.

Alot of hockey kids go here and there mom's n dads kids running around the halls all the way up to 11 pm even 15 mins passed 11pm Kids are do not have good manners and the parents don't seem to care much .

There was not much that we didn't like except for a few details

Central air conditioning was noisy in the bedroom. Toilet paper harsh, wasn't very soft, I ended up going to the store and buying my own. The dog in the next room barked a lot.

views are beautiful, staff was super friendly

stay away from the breakfast if possible, my boyfriend was extremely ill after eating there one day. we avoided it the rest of our trip!
