Pring Guesthouse

I liked the fact that no one disturbed us during our 3-day stay. We met the owner just once at the check-in, everything else was automated, non-invasive, smooth, and relaxed. We booked a separate room next to the door. At first, I thought it would be too noisy, but it was not a problem. There is a place to eat, a place to park a car, a place to do laundry - I'd say it's like staying in the house of your not-so-close relative who's busy with their own stuff and don't bug you at all :)

Hot water in the shower takes a long time to wait.

We traveled for the whole last year and this was the most amazing accommodation we have been to. The house is beautiful, everything is made with love. Our room was really cozy and the bathroom and kitchen were super clean. The kitchen has everything you need and much more. They have a lot free groceries, a good oven, big refrigerator and all kitchen gear you need. For breakfast they offer free cornflakes, milk, and coffee and tea for the whole day. You can also make your laundry for free. And the best of all this is the heart warming owner. He give us a super warm welcome, we felt good from the first moment. We would love to come back. Thank you very much.

Wonderful host! Tim was incredibly hospital and engaging. It felt like I was staying at a friends place. I loved the common areas (living room with lots of books, a very well stocked kitchen, and a patio space outside). I felt very safe, comfortable, and welcome. The guesthouse provided many amenities that I was not expecting! Laundry, towels, free food, a lock for my locker, bathroom supplies, books, etc. This place just had great vibes, and I wanted to stay longer. Thank you so much!

The bed was pretty stiff and left me with a sore neck in the morning. The room was also quite warm overnight. The curtains around my bed weren’t quite big enough to provide full privacy while sleeping.

Loved my stay here. The facilities are super welcoming and cozy, I felt right at home. The furniture conveys a very traditional and old school feel but that makes the charm of the house. The owner was super friendly and welcoming too. I loved that it wasn't over managed and all the little details made it feel more like staying at a friend's place than in a hostel. There was shampoo, washing machine and dryer with washing powder, coffee/tea, cereals, etc. all open and free to use without complicated regulations. I was lucky enough to have the dorm room all to myself and quickly felt like I'm living in my own holiday home. I don't know about the noise if the hostel is fully booked, as you might hear other people, but that isn't any different in any other stay. The beds are comfy, there were adjustable bed lamps, bedside tables, lockers and enough sockets available. The location is quite central and it's easy to get to every place of interest quickly. Would definitely come here again!

Some rooms are in the basement. It didn't bother me at all, but might be interesting to know. The street itself is not in the most friendly environment, a bit rundown, but I didn't feel unsafe and two streets further it's great again. Only thing I would have liked to change was the aircon temperature. It was a little cold and I couldn't control it myself. There were thicker blankets available though and I'm cold in most hostels, so nothing too bad... :)

It is a very nice, clean and quiet place. Everything is cute and neat: kitchen with some freebies, washrooms, common room and dorms as well. The building itself is old but renovated to be very modern-looking. The location is very nice too - just minutes away from the shopping mall or bus stops. The lady who met me was also very nice and explained all that is happening without anything excessive, just right. I also liked the value for money - it's very great

Not sure if it's a downside but the floor is old and wooden and sometimes quite loud. It didn't bother me personally but you gotta be careful when using the washroom at night so as not to wake someone up accidentally :)

This is an amazingly cozy place to stay. You feel welcome and at home. The only "wrong thing" was that the kitchen wasn't completely finished renovation yet, but they apologized and it didn't affect a thing. The place was super clean and warm. The location to downtown is great and its a steal of a price. Plus they were very accommodating with our booking sice we had some changes to our stay and flight changes. 10/10.

The room we stayed in had a bit of a paint(?) smell to it. But it didn't give a headache or anything or leave a smell on your clothes. We booked this hotel because of the distance to the event venue only 10 minutes away. We however didn't feel safe walking to/from so we ended up taking an uber. Nothing against the hotel, its just a bit sketchy of a neighborhood.

The location was close to Juravinski Cancer Centre and Hospital, which was my requirement. I did find parking on the street just up from the location. The kitchen had everything needed to cook my own dinner and a nice supply of essentials in the fridge, which was bonus. The room itself was very nicely decorated, very clean and comfortable with everything one needs. The common livingroom area is beautiful and I would have enjoyed making use of that space if I was staying more than one night. I enjoyed it very much. Note that the Guest is House is right on the corner and the parking is behind it off the other street which can be busy, so you have to watch for it. Two parking spots on a first-come first-serve basis so you might have to go around the block if you miss it the first time. I simply chose to park on the street.

The only downside with a room off the kitchen was that other guests stayed up in the kitchen until a little after midnight having a video chat until a little after midnight. I could have asked them to take it elsewhere and chose to wait it out instead. That has nothing to do with the quality of Pring Guest House or it's offerings.

Everything! This place should get an alias as the Happy Place Guest House, It will take a very mean person to say otherwise as they have provided everything to make your stay nice and comfortable, what else would you ask for?

Nothing, the place Pring Hostel is flawless, home away from home, i believe that this place deserves more credit than it gets. As a genius member who is almost on level 3, take this from me, this property is as good as a 5 star hotel especially for the price.

I was so glad I stayed in this beautiful welcoming hostel despite of the neighbourhood. The private room I stayed in was clean and very beautiful. The hosts were so warm and welcoming and gives me lots of good suggestions for places to visit. Bathrooms and kitchen are clean and I enjoyed having my meals at the picnic area in their cute fenced backyard. i felt quite safe walking on the street in front of the hostel. I felt so comfortable staying there with connecting with other guests and these amazing hosts and we cannot beat the price for what you get and amazing experience from staying in this beautiful hostel. I will definitely come back here again !

there is nothing to complain

Pring Guesthouse is beautifully located in the cultural and commercial heart of Hamilton. Make sure to check out Art Gallery Hamilton which is a 10 minute walk away. The guest house itself is generously equipped in the bathroom and kitchen. I needed nothing besides my own toothbrush, everything including breakfast, basic lunch ingredients and towels was provided. The library had a nice selection. The rooms were all very quiet, clean and beautiful. There was no noise in the shared dorm, everybody is respectful and comes with the traveler mindset you would expect from guests of a shared room. The other guests were lovely and those who wanted to had some great conversations around the kitchen table.
