Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Milton, an IHG Hotel

The room was quite spacious and clean. There is a coffee machine in the room, with coffee and tea provided. The bed was very comfortable, and two pillow options were available (firm and soft). The breakfast tasted good and fresh. Finding the building was also quite easy.

The view wasn't the greatest despite our room being on the highest floor (not a big deal, but looking at parking lots just isn't very exciting). We went to breakfast a bit later (around 9am) and the options at that time weren't the greatest (there was still plenty of food to choose from, but some items weren't replenished).

Beautiful hotel, comfy clean rooms! Check in was easy and friendly. Room was spacious and very clean! We didn’t know we were going to have an adjoining room between family which made it even better!

The breakfast was disappointing. There was still 40 minutes until it was over, there was no hard boiled eggs or scrambled eggs. We stayed until breakfast was over and they never made more. No pancakes, bacon or waffles. For a hot breakfast it wasn’t what I was expecting. Some beans and sausages were the only hot food when I got down there, they did end up adding some undercooked potatoes after a bit.

The location was great as it was only 9 minutes away from the Wedding venue. Check in was quick - I requested early check in and we were able to check in when we arrived at 2-30pm.

On the down side, when we returned to the Hotel after the Wedding, My daughter went to look for the ice machines, which were all EMPTY. She then went to Reception and was told if there was not any in the machines they did not have any!! My daughter then walked to the Gas Station at the corner of the street and got some ice. I have never before stayed in a Hotel that was unable to provide ice for customers!!!!

Express so we expected basic. Instead, room was very thoughtfully laid out--long bench for more than one suitcase, 3-4 hooks on wall. Chargers, built-in multi-national sockets. Laundry room on each floor. Our room had ability to connect to the one next door. I kept thinking--it's simple, but they've thought of everything. Pool and decent fitness room. Beds very comfortable. could open window; nice! Pleasantly surprised.

Breakfast had decent variety--toast/bagels, pancakes, eggs-bean-sausages chafers, juices and oatmeal. Wider selection of fruit (more than just bananas) would've been nice. Machine with espresso-based coffee would've made the deal for me.

Room was not full ready at check-in (missing coffee/cups + one hand towel for 2 guests). Had to go down 4 floors to pick it up from the front desk. Arrived at 11pm. Front desk staff refused to put a tiny smile on his face during check-in process. limited breakfast variety.

I love that the staffs are so accommodating. They were able to check us in early and switch our room from Tub washroom to a walk-in shower washroom. Rooms are clean and even have separate bin for recycles.

One of disappointment is that there is no Chicken or Veggie based protein for a non pork/ beef eater at breakfast. Another is that I booked the Holiday Inn instead of Hilton next door because the pool looks much nicer and bigger than theirs. However it was closed during our stay. Not sure if it has been closed since pandemic but it should be nicer to just put it on your website during bookings. Lastly, I have stayed in hotels in Asia that is about same price as Holiday Inn rate per night or even less and same or much higher star rating and they have toiletries available for people that forget to bring toothbrush or toothpaste. Just something that should be consider in the future. We were okay since we bring our own always.

The Holiday inn hotels style is known and when you go there you already know what to expect. I was at the 5th floor and the last. Room are big and confortamble, new forrniture, big TV screen, Nice bathroom in modern styile and lighting. Good quality detergents available in the shower. Breakfast was self service and with some selection .... Very friendly welcome and recemption overall.

Hard to say what to improve in a well known hotel chain which has been frequently booked in past. Maybe would be nice to have some small snacks/biscuits in the room along with the cofee machine. Breakfast was too poor, I belive a wider offer of other foods like fruits in the morning would be appreciated. Shower water flow was just suffcient, maybe related ot the 5th floor, very high.

The property was nice and you could tell most rooms had been updated. Staff were polite.

The property didn’t have much close by for restaurants. The property seemed to be understaffed, making it difficult to find employees at times. Check in took 20 minutes because their system didn’t seem to register my booking.com reservation.

I truly appreciated the walk in showers, the Watkins products, the amazing higher and lower lighting. The beds were a dream to sleep in. The staff was always attentive, smiling and willing to help in any way they could.

The water in the shower could have been hotter, it bordered on cool. I would have liked to see the three flags outside changed they were all quite faded and the Canadian flag was missing one entire red section and should have been flying at half mast as a neighbouring business had theirs to represent the indigenous nation. There definitely was more to like though.

Breakfast was good but had to keep after the lady for milk. We were looking forward to pancakes and the machine didn’t work. One day the coffee was cold so I don’t think she made fresh coffee that morning.

Everything was perfect! No complaints. Everyone was so kind friendly and so good with the people. I was so happy there. I asked for more pillows when I booked and they were ready in our room.
