Hotel Bristol Berlin

This hotel met my expectations. As I was attending a conference nearby, it was in a good location and connected to the metro line so I was able to get around easily, both to the conference and to the centre for some exploring. It was one of the few hotels with 24-hour check-in. The pool was an added asset. The staff were all really kind and friendly. The breakfast was of a really good quality and had a lot of variety. Breakfast was also available over a long period of time, so I did not need to go down really early. Housekeeping was very discrete. The room service was great as well.

The WiFi was absolutely terrible. I would have appreciated some hair conditioner in the bathroom, as there was only a shampoo/shower gel dispenser. The pool was quite small and a strange oval shape, so if there was more than one person in the pool, it was quite awkward to swim around. If the pool was rectangular then at least people could do lengths without getting in the way of each other. I was looking forward to using the sauna, but it is the first place I have ever been which is mixed gender and actively *forbids* wearing any kind of clothing, including towels?! As a young woman on my own in the hotel, I did not feel comfortable to use this facility, especially since there was no member of staff around when I went there.

Room and location

1, I had to prepay the accommodation in full some weeks before arrival. 2, The hotel took 100 euros from my credit card as a deposit on any other expenditure. There was nothing to pay when we left, I was assured that it would be repaid but 48 hours later we have not been repaid the 100 euros,

This is a very smart looking hotel in a great location. The front of house staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was very smart and the cleaning was done thoroughly every day.

The stay was, in my opinion, slightly let down by the lack of any in room tea/coffee etc. provision. We have come to expect this wherever we go, particularly in a hotel of this standard. The reason given concerned a requirement for electrical upgrading which is a "work in progress". I still hope to stay there again but hopefully with a hot drink to start each day!

The Bristol is a great choice for its excellent central location with easy walks for shopping and a myriad of fine restaurants. The extensive breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of delicious items. The large room was quiet and well cared for by the daily room service. Bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel staff was friendly, helpful and obviously well trained to please its guests. The pool was a nice plus for a cool R&R retreat after a day of shopping or sight-seeing. I would give the hotel more stars if available. We definitely plan a return and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to anyone.

Can't think of a thing as the whole hotel and its staff are worthy of return visits.

We had a lovely, big room with spacious bathroom and dressing room. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, staff were super helpful and friendly, both in the restaurant and at the front desk (Giacomo was particularly great.) The location was great and the lifts always seem to be readily available!

The shower head could only be pointed out into the bathroom so every time we used it the floor got soaking wet. The carpet in the room was old and mismatched, the lamp was broken, and the cot had tape on it covering a tear and was missing the mattress - the sheet had been put on a wooden board in the base! There was no step free access to the hotel, at least that we were made aware of, and we carried the pushchair up and down the steps each time. The pool was lovely, but far too cold.

The room is clean, soundproof and executive room is equipped with bathrobe and slippers, breakfast very good quality.

Air condition in the room a bit noisy, no shower but only bathtube. Reception not so efficient, I asked to three different members of the staff if I had to book a taxi for the morning (because it was very important for me to arrive in a meeting on time and moreover I knew that there was several exhibitions in the city and not easy to find a car) but they all said "no, because taxi arrives in 3-5 minutes". They called me a taxi in the morning and I had to wait 25 minutes before to get a taxi and this is not acceptable for a 5 stars hotel.

This is "heritage" hotel and not in latest fashion - but there is good ordnung. Family room (629) was big - two joined rooms. Rooms were warm! Rooms were quiet and looked into courtyard. Good Tempur mattress!!! Location is on the Kudamm - west Berlin, close to shopping and zoo. Good restaurants all around. Hotel has pool - not warm but swimmable. Did not take breakfast because there are lot on bakeries near the hotel

Ask renovated rooms and courtyard rooms - there is metro and train line in the end of the street.

I loved the swimming pool, sauna, steam room & ice bath they were amazing and would definitely make me stay again, the surrounding area is also really nice and within close walking distance of transport, restaurants and shops.

Nothing really, just note for anyone staying you have to pay €100 credit card holding charge on arrival which caught me a bit off guard as booking.com didn’t mention & as this was near the end of our holiday / we were low on cash. Other than that I LOVED it all!

The hotel were amazing and so helpful. They made sure I had food which was gluten-free. My elderly mother unfortunately had a fall during her stay and they assisted immediately and also kept checking in on her. We loved every moment! Thank you so much. We would love to come back :)

It was all perfect

I have stayed at Hotel Bristol (BERLIN) twice in the last year and can't wait to return. Excellent trained staff who are very tuned in to hospitality and customer care. Next trip I am going to stay longer!

Ice or Ice Bucket for the room when you want to share a bottle of wine with your partner. I realise this is not the norm on the continent but a tea kettle and some tea bags in the room would be lovely. I did ask and received both times but then I had to go and buy tea bags!
