Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt Airport

Great location given proximity (covered/indoor walk way) to the airport. It was very quiet. There were many restaurant options nearby. Clean.

It was very difficult/frustrating to find the entrance to the building. The hotel is located within The Squaire. Address/GPS was of little help. We found the SQUAIRE parking garage but couldn’t find the tram/shuttle to get us to the Squaire complex. We called the hotel for assistance and were NOT informed that the tram/shuttle was not functioning. So, that call was worthless. As we were preparing to leave the garage we observed a few people walking from the ground level of the parking lot and they explained we had to walk along a somewhat dark, makeshift path/trail to get there!

This is a pretty standard city hotel and not as well-appointed as the Hilton (which is right next door). The location is outstanding, as the entrance is right above the long-distance train platforms ("Fernbahnhof") and a 5-minute covered walk from Terminal 1. The location also provides easy access to various food options either at the train station or in the terminal - nothing gourmet and fancy but certainly sufficient. The room was comfortable with everything we needed for a one-night stay. The Hilton Garden Inn is definitely the best value for a hotel right at the terminal.

As our expectations were not that high, and because we mostly wanted to stay at the Frankfurt airport and did not eat breakfast at the hotel, there was nothing we disliked.

The hotel is clean and comfortable for a stay close to the airport. The hotel is located above the fast rail/international train station. Only a short walk to Terminal 1. There is a 24/7 snack station next to reception, which is a great idea, but unfortunately the payment system did not work for me.

I arrived at the airport through the regional train station which differs from the station beneath the hotel. There is initially no/limited signage from this train station directing travelers to the hotel. I needed to ask for directions. After traveling up several levels there is then signage to the hotel. The walk from the regional station is about 10 mins.

I ordered a Jr. Suite and was upgraded on arrival. It was a nice plus. The hotel is in a great location at the airport close to trains and subway. Shopping in also very close if you need anything. Staff at desk was good. Nice workout area and was able to sign-in to my Peloton account and use the hotels Peloton bikes.

Maid service was good. Only issue a plate that was used for cutting a fruit was not cleaned or changed. they cleaned around it but the plate did not have anything on it except crumbs and they left it with the fork and knife, it would have been nice for clean plate. Lack of wall mounted computer USB or C connections.

This hotel is a fantastic option for travelers connecting between different modes of transport at Frankfurt Airport. For us, we arrived by flight and then we picked up the rental car to explore Germany the next day. The Hilton Garden Inn was a really convenient option because we could easily walk across an enclosed bridge walkway over from Terminal 1 directly to the hotel. (Note: if you arrive at Terminal 2, you will need to board a free bus to Terminal 1 and then take the elevator to the third floor). At the base of the hotel is the Frankfurt Airport train station and numerous shops including a grocery store, a Starbucks and other restaurants/cafes. Since we had the night in Frankfurt, we were able to purchase tickets at a kiosk and board the S bahn train into the center of Frankfurt which only took about 30 minutes. The room was really comfortable and spacious. We appreciated the fantastic air conditioning as we arrived during a heat wave. The elevator can take a little while to arrive at times but offers a great view through the transparent glass windows.

The location is perfect for a night between train and flight

The breakfast is unreasonably expensive. On the other hand, it is optional and you have a tea pot and refrigerator in the room and REWE supermarket next door.

The hotel was very conveniently located by the airport terminal, and a short walk away from the train station. The rooms are soundproof and located away from the busy areas. The hospitality of the front desk was excellent. The receptionist allowed us to check in an hour early because we had a baby to feed and change. The room was suitable for an overnight stay.

The mattress was very firm and I did not sleep well because of this. It would suit someone that enjoys sleeping on these types of hard mattresses. I was surprised since the hotel is the Hilton brand. I ended up sleeping on the pullout sofa.

Location is fantastic with access to the airport, trains, food, and shopping (two malls) without having to go outside. The hotel is surprisingly quiet. I didn't hear any noise from planes. Our king room had enough space to have two suitcases lying flat and open. The bed was comfortable. There were two thicknesses of pillows. The shower is a tub-shower combo with controls for both the temperature and volume of water. Water temperature varied only a bit. There is a guest laundry.

There were no face cloths. The tub-shower combo seemed somewhat slippery. There is poor signage for how to get to the hotel from the airport. (Go up to the second floor in the airport, terminal one, to find the skybridges. Head to the west mall. When you get to the mall, turn to your right. Take the elevator or escalator up one floor.) If you end up at the Sheraton by mistake, they should point you in the right direction.

good hotel in a busy area. friendly staff. we came late and left early so not much more to say.

we used the hotel due to a long transfer between two flights. we were somewhat surprised how far the walking distance was as we thought it was basically next to the airport - which it in fact is. however, the size of the airport and the complexity of the buildings makes the distance to be felt as quite long. we cannot blame the hotel for this fact. it is just a warning for tired people arriving late to FRA airport believing they will be in the hotel "the next minute". that is NOT the case.
