Moxy Frankfurt Airport

The Moxy is located in the Gateway Gardens very close to the Frankfurt Airport (one can walk there, we were meeting with friends traveling by rail and plane, we arrived by private vehicle) - it’s a great area to stay for early flights out or late arrivals. The Moxy hotel lobby has quite a vibe for guests to convene which is really nice for an airport hotel - lots of seating areas in the lobby, benches in the courtyard outside. Light snacks, meals and a hotel bar in the lobby which also had internet computers and luggage lockers. Breakfast had vegan, gluten and lactose free options. Rooms were quiet and clean. Parking garage for an extra fee, during our stay there was 90 min free street parking with Parkuhr. Two restaurants and a well stocked grocery store just steps the hotel. S-Bahnhof for the Gateway Garden is nearby, as well as the train stations serving Frankfurt Airport, maybe a 10 minute walk from Terminal 2 which has links to T1.

Mattresses were a tick on the soft side…pillows and linens were great, okay for a night

Nice, clean room, nothing luxurious, but it is more than enough for a one-night stay if you have an early flight, good value for the money. Friendly staff - I needed to print out my PCR test and the worker did it right away. I wouldn't recommend using the taxi service at the airport to get to the hotel. There is a very very close new S-Bahn train station. I myself was too stubborn to believe that it is easier to get there by train and decided to try an uber or taxi. Uber drivers declined the ride 3 times, then I went to the airport arrival exit ("B"), and took a taxi, but the taxi driver was exceptionally unfriendly and was complaining the whole ride that he had to wait in the queue of taxis for 6 hours and now he got this short ride with me. When we arrived, he jumped out of the car, took my luggage out and started yelling that he is in a hurry... On the way back to the airport, I took the train and it was super fast.

No airport shuttle: it seems like there could be an organized shuttle between the ten plus hotels located on that one street. Instead people have to take cabs or Uber: a large expense for such a short distance. Also, we were there during the airline and rail strike, and the front desk staff could have been more understanding regarding the stress we travelers were under. I knew that the airport workers were striking but not the railways. (Hello, travelers are travelers and we don’t know everything that’s happening in your local city.) When I expressed surprise at the rail strike, the front desk clerk rudely answered “that’s what a strike is.” No, it’s not. Each strike is different—how would we know about one particular group.

The room was exceptional clean and the cleaning staff took the time for all the small details. The staff was very helpful and polite. Nice touch: Asked for a cold coffee (was out of menu) and got it after an exception

Its shuttle feature not available was a bit minus on the whole stay. Of course the receptionist called a taxi that arrived within 2 minutes. The breakfast was for the price (at least in my opinion) insufficient and the price wasn't reflected on its variety. Also there was unfortunately no option for a wake up call(you ll miss it if you are a heavy sleeper like me)

The main thing that impressed me was the location e Next to restaurants and a grocery store. I purchased dinner from the store. I have never been to an airport hotel that was next door to such amenities. The hotel was fine. I had just stayed in a Moxy in Glasgow for a week, and that is why I picked the one in Frankfurt when I had a cancelled flight. The value is good for the price, and the trendy vibe is kind of fun. The beds are very comfortable. The lack of a real desk was somewhat problematic but I was able to deal with it (Zoom meeting).

I would like to have a real desk. I also miss having a closet, though I made do.

My room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfy. Bathroom an ample size, with walk in shower. which was clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideal for getting the S Bahn to the airport (S8 & 9). It takes about 3 mins and the service is frequent (I was at the airport for approx 5-30am). It is also ideal for getting the SBahn to Frankfurt (approx 15-20mins), if you have time for some sightseeing. I had to leave before breakfast started, but was able to have a coffee from the machine.

I can not think of anything I did not like. Its an airport hotel and fully met that purpose.

Excellent location, only a two minute walk from the nearest train station. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The hotel is also incredibly modern and vibrant. I checked in at 11pm and there was still a great vibe in the bar area.

Rooms are of a smaller size for the money. Pillows are simply not hotel quality and not comfy. The ‘connect’ / ‘stream’ option on the TV also did not work. I did not report it due to me only staying one night and arriving late.

The airport is super close. If you have a rental car, the closest gas station is conveniently located and easy to approach. Parking is available in a parkade, however, there could be better signage for the foot path to the hotel. We did not find it as the only path that was identified did not have any light that worked. The room was just fine. Breakfast is rich with options for everyone even vegans. No complaint there at all.

The shower could have been a little cleaner for my taste. It may have just been a discolouration of the tub, but it was not 100% identifiable.

We stayed only for one night, coming by train from Gunzburg, because we had an early flight next morning. The hotel suites perfectly on our need. We even had the time to reach Frankfurt city center by train, which, by the way, is very close and takes you directly to the heart of the city. The hotel is very comfortable, very well phonic isolated. The family room that we had is very spacious, the bathroom is also big. The staff is friendly and give all explanation you need. The breakfast is rich, plenty of things to choose from.

Nothing to improve

I love the look of the reception and the staff working there - Zoe, was so kind and helpful. Two Spanish staff members were also very nice and friendly I believe their names were Marina and Carlos .. made our stay very comfortable

one disappointing thing was that there was a chess board but no chess pieces , also my room was clean but the bathroom looked like it wasn’t payed attention to too much - beside the bin there was what looked like dog treats .. but not a huge issue shower and everything was clean .. just maybe a better Hoover next time
