That was our second stay at this hotel as our first experience here four years ago was also great. This time it was even better. The room we stayed in was super clean and spacious. Also the breakfast was so delicious with a lot of fresh and quality products. One of the other advantage of the hotel was its proximity to the Christmas market with the ferris wheel which was my 5 year old daughter's favourite:) On foot we were also able to reach easily to the other Christmas markets that are in different areas of the city. We think the location of the hotel is perfect. We also appreciate the speed of the e-mail reply from the customer relations to our e-mail regarding an issue previous of our stay.

Everything was okay.

The bed was really comfy. Although you are close to the bridge with car and public transport traffic it wasn't hearable, because the window was good isolated. If you leave the window open, you will here noises always. The terrace was good to take fresh air, but there could be more seating availablity. In general good stay over.

The hotel has a strong design focus. Good things include coffee and drinking water at a large shared table in the lobby. A useful place to do some work. The hotel is a pleasant 20 minute walk along the river from the main station. Some public transport options. The cheerful and friendly staff member who checked me out probably lifted this rating by a whole point

Mior issues. The hotel website talks at length about the restaurant....but it is closed. Quite limited dining options nearby. The curtains don't really black the room out, and the air-conditioning was pretty ineffective on a warm afternoon/evening

Modern, clean, Short walk to the city center , parking on site. Staff was very friendly.

A/C was off at night it became too warm inside even it was only 16-18 degrees outside; couldn’t leave the window open for ventilation though as our room is on the side of a busy road. Our shower tap malfunctioned to a 40+ degree hot setting. It was too late at night to find out all these to deal with so we just slept through. In the morning front desk offered us free parking when we reported this, not bad, as we only stayed here one night as a stopover.

The location was good. A bus stop nearby and about 10 minutes walk to the city center and train station. - the view of the Rhein was mesmerizing - right across the chocolate museum - very big room and bed - the room is soundproof

- the room smelled of dust - the pillows were hard but depends on your preference - the AC was barely cooling and it was noisy outside couldn't open the windows - the entrance only had stairs and no wheelchair or trolly access we had to carry our luggage up the stairs

We loved the room and our great view of the river with the ferris wheel. As our second stay, it was a great place to relax. WiFi was very good for us. Breakfast buffet was very good with gluten free and vegan options for me.

We found it a little inconvenient that our phones would only charge with the key card in the slot. If we would go out to dinner or to breakfast we would need to either keep the key card in the slot or wait for our phones to charge after our meal.

Quiet rooms, so we could sleep peacefully. It was nice and warm even without the heater on. Windows could be opened up for fresh air during the day. Staff were friendly and helped us out when we didn't have a travel adapter for our power board and when we needed a taxi in the morning to the train station. They had complimentary tea/coffee in the room and also offered complimentary gluhwein as it was nearing Christmas. The location was great for us as it was relatively close to downtown and close to family.

Pillows were a bit lumpy, so it was a bit hard adjusting to. The heater was loud when turned on, but fortunately, the room was warm without a heater, so we kept it off at night. Be prepared that the sink is located OUTSIDE of the bathroom (where the toilet and shower is). It has pros and cons. Pros, where your partner can brush their teeth, while you showered or were on the toilet. Cons, because it was rather unhygienic to open the toilet door and then wash your hands. Not a deal breaker!

The location is perfect for a break away and close to amenities, short walk away from centre but the views are beautiful. The staff were friendly throughout our stay especially with the check out staff on reception the lady with curly hair apologies I didn't catch your name you were very hospitable and no request was too much. Really did enjoy our stay. We had breakfast on Tuesday morning and a gentleman welcomed us really friendly chap and it's the staff that make the difference. Very clean also 👌 thankyou We paid a little extra for a room with a view and I would highly recommend. What a treat. We had a request for a bath and you didn't dissappoint

In cologne you are spoiled for choice although we love watching football with a drink and we would have liked that option

We got a nice room on the upper floors with views over Schokoladenmuseum and Rhine river. The room had been very spacious, it felt a bit empty. The bed had the right size (king), the bath been clean. Good coffee machine in our room.

Upfront to our stay, I had asked about a parking lot for our car in the hotel garage. The response was, reservations not possible, but shouldn’t be a problem. Based on this, we were not too amused to hear that the garage was full when we arrived. Eventually got a parking lot in the Marriott‘s which is about 7 min walk away. The hotel is not exactly close to public transport. We walked a lot. While our stay was nice, we felt that it was sort of overpriced. Not sure whether this due to inflation or whether the hotel tries to position it a bit too high?

Fantastic location, a comfortable walk to the city, old town and squares. Nice breakfast room. Nice bar area.

A few issues with the bathroom and the basin in the room. Shower riser rail was broken and often made the shower head fall from fixing. Shower screen had a vertical gap in the glass which allowed water to get through and flood the floor. The bath silver fixing to switch water from shower to bath was broken. Both the bath and basin drainage was very slow and took a long time to drain. They would both benefit from being unblocked.
