Super 8 by Wyndham Mainz Zollhafen

The Hotel is quite new and well designed I have to say. The reception is light and comfortable while waiting. You have a sense a good sense of space. The double room I had was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. There is no parking at the hotel for what I understood (there is space for about 3/4 cars right before entrance but it is only for unload/load) but there is a parkinghaus right in front of it. There are also a couple of charging spots for EV on the side street nearby but I didn't manage to make them work actually. They are provided by local provider, nothing to do with the hotel. Personnel is friendly and the atmosphere is overall very pleasant. Wifi is quite good but I didn't use that much

Maybe because is new, there were some hiccups at the reception. A minor issue that it will likely fixed in time I believe. To reach the hotel by phone is quite frustrating. You are dispatched to a central call center (apparently, not sure) that it took ages to answer and sometimes after literally 15 minutes waiting the call just hangs by itself. I was able to talk with an operator after half an hour waiting trying several times.

We were in the city for just a night and the property certainly met our expectations judging by how affordable it was. We opted for the breakfast package and the stay and the food was worth every penny. Room was clean and comfortable (albeit without much amenities however for a single night stay and such low prices one can’t expect more).

The staffs are a bit odd. They are either super unhappy working for the hotel or are severely disappointed with their life. They weren’t rude but they weren’t friendly either. Not a single smile. And I saw one guest in the breakfast section trying to explain to the restaurant staffs (two guys) what fried eggs are. That’s weird. I hope they cheer up!

This hotel is modern, I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to see the building, lounge area, bar area, location. Inside everything is new and modern, nothing outdated. Room is a decent size, you have space to move around the beds, you have a desk and shelves for your luggage. Positive facts: Bathroom is large with the shower cubicle big (can fit 2 persons) Large window that OPENS, don't know why other people complain on google about it. The heating was turned on in my room which was so nice as I arrived on a rainy Saturday 15.10.2022 The lift in the evening works only if you use your door access card which adds to the security The price is medium but the location, atmosphere, value make this hotel a good choice. I recommend it, you will not regret it.

I do not have bad things to say about it.

Lovely quiet location with buses or trams nearby to get into the centre of Mainz. Rooms are super clean, average size & quiet. A complimentary bottle of water is provided. Tea & coffee is available to purchase all day till 11pm. Breakfast room is bright & spacious with plenty of hot & cold choices.

Wasn't sure about no wardrobe, but there were about half a dozen hangers, which was fine for us but if you stay longer than 3 nights you would be restricted if need to hang up things that crease. It wasn't a big issue, though, as the room is designed to be contemporary & compact to save space.

It's an excellent new hotel in Neustadt. The location is awesome. The hotel's district is partially still under construction, but there are many cool locations nearby. The supermarket is within 5 minutes walk distance, the river is nearby, and public transport is also around the corner. The room is cosy and equipped with everything you might need (except for the mini-bar, keep it in mind). They even had a pretty decent hairdryer (which is inevitably a huge plus). There is a vault in every room, and though it is not very big, it fits in a tablet. The curtains are blackout and the windows block noise really nicely. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and will be glad to come back there again and again.

Just the mini-bar was lacking, but you can buy all you need at the lobby, so it's not that much of a problem.

Room was extraordinarily clean and spacious enough for a short stay. Street parking is free and bus stop is right across the street. There are many groceries within 7-8 min walking distance radius. They make good coffee in the reception.

One guy working in the reception area was constantly on the phone, talking loudly all the time. He completely ruined the peaceful morning coffee that we had in the lobby. Finding parking place on the street is very difficult at some times of the day. There’s a garage building in fromt of the hotel that charges 10-EUR for 24h parking and public transport is free for 5 people with 1 parking ticket.

It was very modern, and everything was sparkling clean. Secure room for bike storage. Excellent value for the price. Good size room and great shower and bathroom.

I stayed on a Sunday night, and there was nothing open for food within a 1km radius (except a couple of kebab shops). Lots of construction on the street, but that will finish eventually. Breakfast seemed overpriced, so I didn't get it. The TV in my room kept randomly turning off or restarting which was annoying.

Good value for money. Interconnecting rooms perfect for family with one extra large room and a smaller connected one. Sushi takeaway next door was excellent. Location is in the middle of a new development but we couldn't hear any construction, and it's only a few minutes to cycle into town. Free bikes to hire were a bonus for a day trip along the Rhine

No kettle in the room. Staff were efficient but not friendly.

very well designed and functional room. Smallish room but space used well. very friendly and helpful staff. secure parking nearby. food and drink available if we had wanted it. building work nearby was not intrusive. just outside LEZ if you didn’t want to get a car sticker or had a non-compliant vehicle. not too far from town centre. local supermarkets nearby.

Pillows were poor. our only minor complaint.

Simple but comfortable hotel. It has everything needed for a short stay. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast is basic but for short periods it is more than enough. Price is among the best in the city.

Location is a bit far from the main city attractions, but it is right next to a tram and bus stop, which makes it accesible. Bed was two twins put together instead of a queen.
