Mercure Hotel Mannheim am Rathaus

The hotel is well situated in Mannheim, with several restaurants and bars close by for the evening. The rooms are nice and very clean. There is onsite car parking underground and there were always spaces available during our stay.

Although there is onsite car parking the rate is high at €18 per night even for hotel guests. Depending on your travel plans whilst in Mannheim it will likely be cheaper to use the train and taxis than leave your car if you are spending several nights in the area.

Good location 10 minute walk from some excellent cafes and bars, and the town centre. Fairly quiet neighbourhood. Very quiet room, with good shower. Good WiFi throughout. Very helpful and polite staff. Good car park and reasonably priced.

Bed on the firm side. No real TV options with almost all channels in German/German dubbed.

Bed was fairly comfortable and the room was quiet as long as the window was closed. There is a garage under the hotel so parking was easy and convenient. There was a decent selection at breakfast. Hotel is a reasonable walk from the high street and there are many restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. Had we not been so delayed on the way, we would have enjoyed seeing the sights.

We would have preferred to keep the windows open, but were on the first floor and there is a lot of street noise in the area. The shower head kept sliding down and required constant adjustment. There was far too much paperwork at check-in; an online system would be better. Too much plastic is used at breakfast-- not everything must be individually wrapped in cling film.

The staff was friendly, check-in and check-out was easy and straight forward. The hotel has a good location, there's even a small playground right outside. There's a spacious underground garage which we found convenient.

Noise isolation between the room and the bathroom was very poor. Moreover, the door to the bathroom is glass, which means a lot of light from the bathroom gets in the room and you can see a very clear outline of the person sitting on the toilet through the door.

The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom has the essential products you need. Breakfast is very good! A lot of choice. Enough parking space under the hotel.

It would be nice if there was a little refrigerator in the room. The chairs in the restaurant were more for lounging than for eating a dinner at a table.

super clean, excellent heating/cooling, modern rooms, good breakfast buffet, very helpful and nice staff, fantastic shower (pressure) even though it's tiny, fantastic working desks in the room, excellent for business travellers, bright and quiet rooms, no street noise at night, excellent COVID precautions, was able to check in before the official check-in time due to early arrival, just a pleasant experience

Clean bathroom, clean room en a good breakfast with lots of choose. The parkingsgarage from the hotel was clear to see and easy to find. Near de City center, but still easy to reach by car.

Maybe de bed could be a bit harder. But I think that for everybody different.

The hotel and the facilities are quite good. They considered my early check-in request.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, but if they had an EV charger, I would definitely give it 5 stars.

Nice, very clean hotel, kind helpful staff. I had a room on higer floor, very nice room, comfortable and calm. Near to the center, to the shops and the restaurants.

Fresh air and good conditioning in the room. Breakfast was good, every day changes a little.

The computer system and check-out process were slow.
