ibis Hotel Nürnberg Altstadt

The location is great just a couple of minutes from the train station, tram stop and bus stops. Very easy to get around Nuremberg from this location. The hotel was clean and we were allowed to leave our bags earlier in the day to save carrying them with us. The receptionist checking us in was lovely and friendly and the hotel has loads of amenities close by.

nothing I didn’t like, facilities are basic but spot on for what we needed for a one night stay. There is noise from the street but that didn’t bother me, more a note for people planning to stay here who are light sleepers.

I liked the location. It's close both to the main station and the old town. I liked the staff. I lost my connecting flight and could only arrive for the second night. Obviously, they couldn't refund the first night, as that was the option I chose when booking the room, but they offered us breakfast instead for the second morning. The room was spacious and clean, the beds were comfy. When I asked the staff for extra towel, they delivered it immediately. Very attentive towards the guests.

Great location, large room, clean. I had a large luggage and requested for a room that is accessible by elevator and they accommodated my request. The luggage storage was very useful as well. The check out time was quite late, which was good.

It wasn't check out time yet but the cleaning lady already tried to enter my room, but maybe I should have hung the sign that I was still in the room.

The bed is very comfortable and so it's the room itself. The Internet works fine but it's public, so it comes with security issues for those that plan to work from their hotel.

It was very cold outside and it was snowing, yet we could not check in a bit early nor could we wait in the hall (there were other travellers in the same situation and the hall is extremely small so there was no place for everyone). I imagine it would not be an issue under different circumstances.

Excellent location right in the heart of the old town. Large room.

Slow check in, due to staff having to deal with 2 separate customers complaints. I found the room noisy from external noise in the street. Curtains didn’t keep all the light out, due to not closing properly.

Location was excellent for access to the transport network and the old town area. Staff were very helpful, good breakfast selection and we could leave our luggage with them for a few hours on the day we were leaving which was very useful. (Take your own kettle if you want a cuppa in your room). Air conditioning was really useful!

Bit noisy outside during the night but that's no fault of the hotel.

It's very central and close to the train station. Rooms are simple and clean. We were on the 7th floor which meant a set of stairs as the lift finishes on the 6th floor, but that was explained to us - and meant we could check in earlier, which we appreciated.

Watch the beams if you have a room on the 7th floor and you're not short! Happy to say I managed to duck and not hit my head! Just a warning!

Very convinient location in city center and close to central train/subway station. Good noise insulation of rooms. Friendly staff. Many different restaurants and pubs close on the same stree for dining. Within walking distance from oldtown.

Breakfast is good enough, but they could consider adding oatmeal and better cofee to breakfast menu.

The location is perfect, close to train station and city center. The size of the room is compact but not too small. It's ok for 2 adults and one small kid.

The location is perfect if you arrive by train as it's close to the main train station. However, if you drive, the parking is 5-10 mins away. With big luggage and baby, it was a nightmare to me. Also, there was no foot towel in the bathroom.

Great location, close to train station. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Excellent reception staff, spoke each time we entered and left. A small bar next to reception desk offered coffee and drinks (not free-but convenient).

Room was air conditioned but never got as cool as we would have liked.
