Jannata Resort and Spa

Such a comfortable room with wonderful amenities and an incredible view. Room tidied every day and then turned down every night with cookies. Great restaurant and room service, wonderful food and drinks which is discounted if you stay for an extended period of time. Free yoga classes on Wednesday and Friday mornings which were a great way to start the day! The spa and their services were absolutely delightful. The most friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff. Stunning infinity pool with jungle views.

The location is a bit out of ubud but only a 15-30 minute drive (depending on traffic) however if you're not planning on doing a lot and happy with it being a bit more remote then this will be suited to you. There are quite a few stairs to get to all rooms and then obviously to get back to the pool, restaurant and entrance so not recommended for the unfit or impaired.

It was our first time to Ubud and Jannata resort was amazing. Location: It is situated 10-15 minutes (traffic dependent) from Ubud center where the markets, palace, temples etc are located. Furthermore, there is a shuttle 3 times a day to the city center. Staff: The service received was impeccable and I could not fault anything. The staff are friendly and helpful and always accommodating. The staff also allowed us to check in early which was a great plus Food/Restaurant: We had the floating breakfast and the presentation and food was great. We also had dinner (3 course) at the resort and it was amazing. Room: The room was large overlooking trees and greenery (That's what Ubud is about). It was clean and the bathroom was also very clean. Amenities: Yoga in the morning on 2 days is complementary and there is a great Spa (15 min complementary massage was included). There is also a Shisha that can be hired at a fee. Overall, I would 100% recommend anyone to stay at Jannata!

Everything was to our standards and in almost all cases exceeded our expectations. I cant say anything negative.

I like everything about this place, the staff, the views, the location. Waking up in the morning with the amazing view of the valley and the sound of the birds, waterfall is just an amazing experience. This is the place I will visit again and will remember on my books. We had so much help during our stay. We stayed in different villas and they were all beautiful. We had a private pool villa and another one with the valley view.

There's nothing bad in this hotel. I would like to add the pictures to this website. Don't do its judgement, this place is better than the pictures they have uploaded.

Very friendly well-meaning staff. Beautiful pool, room, view and facilities. Great bathroom facilities. Complimentary Afternoon Tea was a bonus. A breakfast box can be provided if you're due to be up and out early.

Only a few minor gripes: 1) The last shuttle/transport from Ubud is at 17:30, so a little more flexibility would have been appreciated! 2) Staff were unwilling to provide milk or creamer for the hot drink facilities in your room - so make sure you're happy with black tea and/or coffee! 3) The Hollandaise Sauce served with the Eggs Benedict was more of a sparing dribble rather than an amount sufficient for the dish. Come on Jannata, it's not going to break the bank!

This resort was a highlight for us, one of the few places in Bali where we got to relax and spend a lot of time in the hotel. We got a room with a private pool which was a definitive highlight of our stay and one of our favorite hotels because of that. The room was great, internet worked well, and breakfast was also very delicious. A pleasant surprise was the availability of shisha for rentals at the restaurant and pool, a nice little vacation add-on for me! We got massages twice and the massage area was beautiful as well as the yoga area above it (though I didn't use it for Yoga). We had torrential downpour one night after dinner - and it was very nice they had umbrellas, and its those details that make for a great 10 rating!

I think I saw this in other reviews, so it is not something that I didn't like just something to note is that there are lots of stairs. If you want a private room with private pool assume you will need to walk more than if you're staying near the crowd and by the pool. But, we knew this and were prepared.

Very peaceful stay. Big rooms. The view from the pool is amazing. The staff is very friendly. Met a snake on the stairs one night - the joys of being in a forest.

The location is not close to anything (great if you just want to stay at the hotel and relax) - you can only really access Ubud via car or transfer. Food portion sizes - for the price, the amount of food was very small. I believe these are trying to be fine dining - the food was very good - however, the portion size needs to be 30% bigger, especially the protein. I had a salad with one tiny piece of chicken. The massage was very average - especially for the price. Every other massage I had in Bali was much better. I ordered a private yoga session however, the teacher was making jokes and not really listening. Forced (physically) into positions I told him I did not want.

Magnificient hotel in Ubud. One of the best hotel I ever stayed in my entire life. The staff is so friendly and kindful, they didn't allow us to carry even 1 bag, they took care of all of our luggage. They welcomed us with a hot towel and delicious welcome drink. The rooms were spacious and very luxurious with all of the facilities we can think of (they even provided flip-flops and mosquito repellent). The view of the jungle is fascinating. You can enjoy having a hot bath with that incredible view from your room. The breakfast was very delicious with different varieties. We really enjoyed the free homemade cookies they gifted us on the second night of our stay. We enjoyed the stunning view while swimming in the infinity pool, we even ordered a floating breakfast and it was such amazing experience! Would recommend to anyone visiting Ubud, you will not regreat your stay in Jannata, I promise!

the view is STUNNING and makes the hotel totally worth it, small touches (extra decor for our honeymoon, cookies at night, afternoon snacks, free shuttle to town, yoga) were really great, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating

the restaurant could be better, breakfast was a lot of selection but not great quality. better with less options and focus on quality, and to include espresso drinks (latte, americano) included in coffee options (rather than extra charge) because the free coffee was not very good. maybe a bit of music by the pool, and a later shuttle option :)

We walked into our room with Welcome petals on the bed and had a beautiful big deck and bathroom. They also supply you with repellent, good sandals and robes. The bath view was gorgeous and overlooking the hotel from the deck was dreamy. We had a knock at the door by a happy little kitten who joined us for a little while in our room. The staff greeted us with smiles when we were very tired from our journey. The staff arranged transport to and from cafe lotus in Ubud Centre for dinner which made our evening relaxing and safe. We wished we could have stayed longer at Jannata. They seated us for breakfast in a beautiful hut and made our breakfast early as we had to leave Ubud early to our next destination.

My time at Jannata Resort was the highlight of my month long travels through SE Asia. The staff was all English speaking, incredibly knowledgable, helpful and welcoming. Upon our arrival (Jannata picked us up from the airport for an additional charge) we were told there was an issue with our reservation so we'd been upgraded free of charge to the private pool villa! The room was beautiful, it was very clean and everything was updated nicely. It's rare the real thing is as good as the photos. The resort is a bit out of the way from downtown Ubud but Jannata offers a free shuttle service multiple times a day and were flexible on if we wanted an earlier/later pick-up time. We mostly ate at the resort restaurant and liked everything we had, they offer Western and traditional Indonesian options for all 3 meals. I even did a floating breakfast for maybe $15, just be sure to book a day ahead! They also offer room service all day, but breakfast has to be ordered the night before. The spa is wonderful, we got a couples massage and then I got a body scrub complete with a flower bath (very affordable and can be booked same day or next day). I enjoyed my time at the spa so much I booked a facial for the next day that was also wonderful. We were there for the full moon, so the resort through a full moon dinner with a traditional Balinese dance performance! Overall, this is a wonderful resort for couples or anyone who is looking to relax poolside in the beautiful nature of Ubud.

One thing to be aware of is that there are a lot of steps throughout the resort. There's probably 4-5 flights of stairs between the spa/yoga center and the lobby/restaurant. If you have a mobility issues this might be a problem but otherwise it's not a big deal.
