Ubud Padi Villas

Upon arrival, I was offered the yummiest iced beverage and cool towel to wipe down. I arrived for check-in a bit later after activities and a stay at another accommodation closer to the shopping strip and wanted to be closer to nature. This is exactly that! I needed to picked up by golf cart from a parking area where my amazing private driver - Suant Bali Tours waited until my pick up. The I was taken down a very narrow path with all baggage securely on and travelled parallel to a beautiful rice field scenery. Check-in was so easy and I felt like such royalty as the receptionist sat next to me as I toweled off and drank my complementary beverage to go over the guidelines and accommodation odds and ends. I signed paperwork and then was walked to my room when I was ready. My room was spacious, clean, and gorgeous - private pool and outdoor lounge area, jungle-like backyard view, private outdoor shower/toilet, and not to mention huge vanity area which was in the open-air area. I absolutely loved the way this accommodation is set up where you have your bedroom enclosed and the option to open up to the outside area. I received an amazing quick massage the morning that I checked out prior to checking out and that was also a perk!

A frog managed to hop into my bedroom through a small opening of my bedroom door to the pool as well as 2 hanging in my pool but luckily I had already enjoyed my morning swim snd was actually having breakfast so it was a bit of an entertainment rather than a nuisance. I love nature and animals but unexpected frog visitor in my room was a bit of a challenge and rush to guide out of my bedroom. It was my first experience with the jumping capabilities of frogs.

- Very friendly hosts. - The food and drinks were, for the most part, exceptional (especially the carbonara and watermelon/lime/mint juice!). - The view was stunning and the room was fantastic (& clean). - Aircon worked well and made it bareable in the hot weather! - The cleaning service was extremely thorough. A team of about 4-5 people came in daily to clean, including going the extra mile such as sweeping away dead leaves in the garden. - We attended a live music at the restaurant, which was fantastic.

- At the restaurant, the hosts occasionally left us alone/waiting a long time and appeared to be standing/chatting by reception, which could be frustrating when waiting to order or in between courses. - My partner wasn't a fan of the small lizards that got into the room, but they don't bother you past a few noises here and there, so I imagine most people wouldn't mind too much. - Very occasionally, we would get an unpleasant meal e.g. one beef burger smelt/tasted very off. - Full body Balinese massage was OK, but not great.

Padi field villa was lovely, wonderful views and a good sized pool. As other reviews mention the pool wasn’t heated so you couldn’t stay in it too long but it was nice for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The bed was huge and comfortable, the room had proper black out curtains and it was very peaceful so we slept well. Breakfast was good and brought to the room whenever you chose which was nice. Everything we ordered from room service was good too and always came very quickly. Staff were all very helpful and arranged everything we needed. It was useful to have the buggy to the main road too but it’s only a very short walk if you don’t feel like waiting.

We knew the bathroom was outside when booking which we didn’t mind. We liked the outside shower but there were a lot of huge ants, particularly at night, (including all over the kettle and toilet) which made the bathroom not so fun to use in the dark! It might have been helpful to have some bug spray in the room to use.

It is a great accommodation slightly away from busy Ubud, which suited us perfectly (w/ taxi/motorbike approx. 10 min). The staff is really nice and treats their guest with fantastic care. Our room had a private pool with a view on the rice fields. We also once tried the hotel breakfast, which was very tasty and was served to our room. Overall, an amazing place to stay.

Nothing. Maybe, for some it could be an issue the outside toilet, but we did not mind at all. Also, there is a public path close to the hotel, that slightly destroys a complete privacy you would have otherwise.

The very friendly staff who made us feel like family. Nothing was a problem. Friendly with beautiful smiles & manners. To name a few that I remember, Ratna, Kadek, Mari, Ina, Lode, Risma, Aya, Penrith & Diane. However, as mentioned all the staff were lovely. Our Unit was beautiful with a lovely Jungle view & complete privacy. The food was exceptional & well priced The location was great as it was away from the chaos of central Ubud. The Ritz Carlton less than a 5 minute walk if you feel like going to a beautiful restaurant, which we did. I would highly recommend this place if you want a truly wonderful holiday.

The Villa with private pool was just perfect! The staff are very helpful. You can hear frogs and roosters in the morning and it's normal. Very private and very peaceful with Nature and we would definitely do it again!! The free shuttle to town is limited but Free, so we took advantage of it. Such beautiful place away from the busy roads. The Villa restaurant is also very authentic, more expensive than town but worth trying it.

Our main problem, it's a bit far from the town, so we had to hire a bike to go around. The ride from the airport cost us $45 AUD so the Villa price is cheaper and you can always bargain every ride. Every driver will give you highest price but if you go half way down they will drop the price. The massage package is too pricey but we used one in town, so much cheaper.

The view on the rice fields from the bed and swimming pool was amazing and so relaxing. no building work is going on next to the hotel which is a plus considering the amount of construction in Bali. The staff was smiling and helpful. Breakfast was totally ok with limited choices if you stay a bit long but for few days it is perfect. The location - if you wish to walk between the rice fields is amazing - easy access by walk to Alchemy Yoga and then to ubud center in 1hour.

This place was absolutely wonderful! Rooms were clean and cozy. Location is great because its close to some eateries/restaurants that are walkable and then only a short 10 min scooter ride to Ubud city center where all the action is. Its nice to come back to a quiet area to relax. The service was awesome too. They are all attentive and quick to fulfill requests. Vitri and Surya were great hosts! If we find ourselves back in Bali, we will definitely come back here.

This isnt a complaint because you should know what youre getting into with booking an outdoor bathroom. The outdoor bathroom took some getting use to, especially if having to use the bathroom at night. Only saw one frog, but otherwise there weren't many critters. Would do it again for sure.

Exceptional 2 night stay at Ubud Padi Villas! We absolutely loved our stay. Stunning views from your private courtyard overlooking the rice paddies. Your own Beautiful infinity pool. The ducks were a real treat for us to watch from our deck! Gorgeous bathroom, the outdoor section was so beautiful, my favourite bathroom by far in all accommodations we’ve stayed at! Gardens were outstanding. Lovely to eat dinner in the garden surrounded with gorgeous plants. All the staff were extremely helpful, incredibly friendly and so welcoming. Golf buggy service 24hr to run you up and down the little laneway, but it’s only a short walk too. I would highly recommend Ubud Padi Villas.

The rooms were spacious, clean and lovely. Pool was also a great size and clean. amazing outlook over the rice fields, great for people watching! great location, near to central Ubud but much more quiet and cooler in temperature. the staff were super helpful and lovely, they looked after us very well and looked after booking all our tours, taxis etc. always made up our room when we went out, nothing was a hassle if we asked. in house spa was wonderful and very reasonably priced. room service/restaurant was also pretty good, would recommend the Indonesian cuisine over all other options on the menu. room includes Netflix and Amazon prime capabilities. room 7 which we were placed in definitely had the largest outdoor area with daybed, highly recommend!

the bathroom was outside, which meant you could encounter some native friendly frogs however this was not a big deal at all! enjoyed the outdoor shower
