Dan Linehans Bar and B&B

The location was ideal - right in the center of everything. A block from the Main Street, pubs and restaurants everywhere. The beds were comfortable. In spite of the heat wave, the overhead fan in the room kept us very comfortable at night. The absolute best thing about the property is the staff. The people who showed us to our rooms (and carried our bags up two flights of stairs!!!) were lovely and the breakfast staff were very solicitous of their customers. The food was fabulous for breakfast!!

I liked everything. Even though the B&B is directly above the bar, and you could hear the people below having a good time, everything quieted down around midnight. And if you are super sensitive, they also supply ear plugs.

Location was ideal,right in the centre of everything that was available,restaurants,bars and shopping.The welcome we received was warm and very friendly and the staff were always ready and willing to cater for all our needs.The breakfasts were great,with varied choice and well cooked meals..The bar was very cosy and full of friendly banter and a relaxed atmosphere and a well poured pint!!! A massive thank you to Siobhan,all the cleaning staff,catering staff and bar staff for making our stay so perfect.

Everything was fine

Right in the heart of Killarney. Easy access to everything. Large public parking lot across street so lots of space for overnite parking. Great pub, games on TV, meals and staff. Nice little apts upstairs and a million things to do in the area. Tasty breakfast served by a wonderful woman with a thick accent and big heart. She brought a smile to our face every morning.Our new go-to place in Killarney.

One noisy overnite neighbor, but we fixed that on the first night.

It had such a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. The cooked breakfast was incredible, and if you forgot to ask something at breakfast or upon checking in, you could just walk down to the bar, grab a pint, and discuss whatever you might need for your stay with the bartender, whether that be turning in your cooked breakfast preference sheet, storing bags after checking out, or asking for recommendations for nice walks in Killarney National park (all of which I did).

The breakfasts, which were included in the price, were exceptional - freshly produced and generous - thanks to chef Narita. The staff were helpful and considerate, from the barman-receptionist who personally carried our bags up to the room, to the cleaning staff who ensured we were well sorted. When one of us couldn't come down to breakfast, the manager, Siobhan, brought the breakfast tray up to the room. Very much appreciated! The room was small, and featured interesting Kerry landscapes by a local photographer.

The controls for the shower were a challenge, let's call it eclectic, but the shower was good once it was mastered. Street noise could be intrusive, but closing the window mostly fixed that.

The location was amazing. Near the train station, easy access to taxi services and the local shops. Breakfast was delicious! The staff was super friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We absolutely loved the little touch of snacks and water upon arrival.

Haha the weather. It was miserable the full day we were there when we were able to check out the national park. Honestly nothing was terrible. Everything was wonderful including the people in the shops, pubs and B&an.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Sheila and Eileen Ann were great as were the two ladies that cooked and served breakfast. They stored our three bikes without any problems and made no fuss about it. They also made us breakfast to go as we were leaving very early the first morning to do the Ring of Beara cycle. Although the rooms were over the bar they are very well insulated and there was no noise disturbance at all.

We had a wonderful stay at Dan Linehan's. the room was very clean with a large bathroom and huge towels. the rooms are, as the name suggests, located above a pub, so it can be a little noisy, but due to the limited opening hours this is manageable. the staff was very friendly and helpful - they gave us a lot of tips on what to explore in the area. not to forget the great breakfast.

Every staff member was extremely friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was great! Plenty of options to suit any traveler.

It would be nice if parking was included/ironed-out with the parking lot owner. Although the lot is only across the street @ $1 per hour during the day, it would be nice to get a pass, even if you had to pay for it, where you didn't have to worry about running out to the car to get a new ticket each morning. But not a deal-breaker at all given that it's very cheap and so close!

Wonderful stay, everything was perfect. Siobhan is a fantastic host, same as her family/team. Pretty room in a quiet building in the lovely town of Killarney. The breakfast room is beautiful and the food is so delicious. Siobhan went above and beyond to make me a different vegan breakfast every morning during my 4 night stay. Thank you for everything.
