Killarney Plaza Hotel & Spa

Fantastic location, although the downside is the noisy street traffic, but so great to be near all the bars, shops and restaurants. Spa was gorgeous they really looked after us as did the staff in the bar, nothing too much trouble, only criticism of the bar was DJ music Friday and Saturday, didn’t need it.

The breakfast was very dry, we were so looking forward to proper cooked breakfast but understandably when food is left out in buffet it will dry out and no pot of tea, because it was poured from a general jug it always had a tang of coffee. The staff were lovely though

We had a lovely 2 nights stay, comfy beds, clean rooms had all things you might need, great location, free underground parking, friendly staff, tasty breakfast, nice bar, lovely atmosphere in general. We would come back again

No entertainment for kids, you have only swimming pool to enjoy... there is no playground/play area...the air-conditioner/heater had to be adjusted all the time, it quickly gets chilly or too hot, it is also loud, as I am a deep sleeper, it did not bother me at all, but other family members found it a bit annoying

Booked 2 nights in this hotel for my wife's 40th birthday. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. From the first interaction after booking the staff couldn't help enough. Particularly Stella, who went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect, helping with dinner bookings and answering any questions I had. My wife and her friend made use of the spa and they were blown away with how good the service and treatments were. We ate in the Cafe Du Parc restaurant on 1 of the nights and the food was amazing. As we're the staff. Again, I couldn't recommend the place any higher. Overall my wife felt like absolute royalty all weekend long. Were already planning our next trip down. An unbelievable hotel with amazing people. Thank you to each and every one of you for making my wife's birthday so special.

Nothing. Everything was perfect

Everything was exceptional! Nice, friendly staff greeted my husband and I upon arrival, the room was very nice and roomy. Breakfast was very nice, wide selection of delicious Irish Breakfast. Excellent location for dining and shopping or just strolling around town. Through the back of the hotel is Killarney National Park, which was absolutely beautiful. The hotel has bicycles and helmets for you, and my husband and I took advantage of this and spent an entire day going around the park to the Killarney House and Gardens, Muckross House, Ross Castle, the abandoned Abbey, and a stop at the Dinis Cottage for a lovely sandwich and hot chocolate. We also walked directly across the street from the hotel to book a tour for the Dingle Peninsula the next day. This was easy because we met the tour right across the street in the morning. Lovely hotel, we will definitely stay here again!!

There was nothing we did not like!

The rooms are exceptionally clean and well fitted, with everything we could need. The staff were always friendly and happy to help with anything. They even helped me lift the buggy up and down the stairs. The breakfast was delicious and fresh and the restaurant cafe du Parc is exceptional.

Unfortunately due to the way the building is designed there is no lift from the car park to the reception and so it is awkward with a buggy. However, as I mentioned the staff were delighted to help lift the buggy when required.

We love this hotel...the restaurants, the bars, the spa, the location. This was the favorite accommodation of our 11 day trip to Ireland. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Step out the door and you're surrounded by pubs, restaurants, shopping. We took advantage of the spa enjoying a couples massage and facial. Wonderful...and the parking garage was convenient and free. I highly recommend this hotel for your stop in Killarney. Some great memories were made here including time spent at the piano bar and meeting locals at one of the other bars. Good times!

I can not think of anything I didn't like. The hotel exceeded our expectations. I had looked forward to our stay there but it was even more wonderful than I imagined...from the nice folks at the front desk to the spa to Cafe du Parc; it was all amazing and I would definitely go back if Killarney is ever a future destination.

Friendly ,professional, customer focused staff, excellent room with awesome facilities. Clean and spacious with a feeling of opulence. Having a separate lounge was the icing on the cake.

The lack of a fridge was a little disapointing

The location was ideal. So close to all the night life. Also having free car parking was great aswell. The staff were so friendly and also loved the decor of the place. Also we had dinner there one of the nights and the food was lovely.

The morning we were leaving, there was loud banging a room or two away from my room (sounded like something was getting fixed) but. I wouldn't wanna try and sleep with the noise. Also the rooms were very warm at night and also our bin in the bedroom wasn't emptied whenever room service was done.

A Map of Killarney Park and it’s trails would be beneficial as the map provided with the bikes was a Killarney street map not a local trail map. Cord for hairdryer was too short to get to back of head. The wheels of the bed are on the side instead of at end and I hurt my feet on them more than once. I traveled with a carryon bag, which means my clothing was few. Because it rains often, I had a few days of wet and damp clothing. I would have liked having access to a tumble drier on-site (paid) I also booked here because of the pool. When I went to swim, there were children swimming and playing. It would be a nice option to have an adults only time for swimming as the children were a bit too loud and took up the full pool with play.

The room was excellent (we upgraded to the Executive Suite). The locationj of the hotel was in the center of the city and we were able to sample a variety of pubs and live music. The breakfast was the best we have had in our 4 days traveling around Ireland.

1 Minor issue - While there is parking under the hotel, it was challenging to get the car into the space as the dimensions are small and the car park elevator is hard to get to. One other item - The Tan Yard restaurant was not the best for dinner - the drinks are creative but weak in terms of alcohol (I had to order a shot that I added to the drink to get it tasting right) and they played 60's motown music the whole time which was very offputting (I dont think the restaurant is owned by the hotel)
