Killarney Heights Hotel

Breakfast was exceptional. Great variety of fresh food and beverages. Room was clean. Service and staff in the hotel and restaurant were exceptional. They were so helpful, friendly and responsive. Beds were comfortable. Given the negative experience on our last night, we received a discount on this part of our stay.

One window did not open and room was warm. Small hygiene items like shampoo and conditioner would have been a nice complement. Towels were clean but had a few small stains. We were awoken around 2 am on our last night at the hotel by a people yelling and banging around in the next room and a phone alarm continuously ringing for hours. The night manager was responsive and came to deal with the situation twice.

Room was extremely clean, and looked (and smelled) like fresh carpet had just been laid. Looked as if they had recently done some renovations. The room was spacious and very comfortable. My only reason for giving a 9 instead of 10 was the lack of air conditioning. There wasn’t even a fan in the room, and it could get kind of warm. However, I noticed a lot of hotels did not appear to have air conditioners in the rooms, so maybe that’s a just the way hotels in Ireland are. Still not holding it against them. Our stay was great.

The room was large and it was an extremely comfortable bed. The shower room was newly refurbished, with a lovely walk in shower. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the food was very nice, with good portions.

Instant coffee in the room for a 4* hotel? Surely not. There was nowhere to store clothes in the room, plenty of space for a cupboard. The meals in the bar area were not very well organised, we had three different people serving us, asking if the food was ok etc. whilst the main courses were delicious, on the whole the desserts were disappointing.

Food was great, and the breakfast was fabulous. Great way to start your day. Bed was very comfortable and they were very accommodating in my request for a room with a bath.

Like most of Ireland there is now AC, which I fully understand with the mean temp of the county being what it is? That being said we didn't have the heat on and the room was stifling. We got a fan from the front desk and ended up finding a tower fan at a local store that we now bring in the all the places we are subsequently staying at. Are room also had a "lovely" view of the pool of standing water on the roof right outside out window and due to that we were limited to when the window could be open based on the wind direction. Not much that could be done except what we did with the fans, but still thought I'd put it down for future travelers.

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the stuff are nice and attentive, there is big car parking in the property, and the location is great - 5 minutes drive from Killarney city center, and perfect starting point to the ring of Kerry. Overall good value for money.

There is no A/C in the rooms - usually not a big issue for Ireland, but we were in a really hot day, and it was pretty hoy in the room. The reception start working at 7:30 am, so plan ahead if you need an early check out.

Came here for a family event. 10 of us stayed for one night. Was met by a lovely and very helpful girl in reception upon our arrival. The rooms were fab big rooms and comfortable bed. Bathroom was quite big and had both a standing shower and bath tub. We have a evening meal in the restaurant and they food was exceptional. After our meal we had a few drinks in the bar was very quite the night we stayed. Breakfast the following morning was exceptional again and they even arranged a table for all 10 of us to sit together. The staff in the hotel were exceptionally friendly and very helpful during our stay.

Room's were very warm but this may be perfect for someone else, I personally don't like a very warm room at night. Still required as other hotels to book a time slot for breakfast the next morning. No residents bar while we were their mid week. These aren't negatives just something others may not like.

Lovely hotel in a lovely area. Very clean facilities and room. Lovely staff, particularly the very polite and friendly Front of House gentleman when I was checking out. Showed he really cared about the guests.

Very noisy guests (all evening until 3am) in rooms beside when they came back from the bar but that's not fault for the hotel, that's just other people. Nothing remarkable to report about the Hotel from a dislike point of view.

Great Location. Very good value for money. Very clean room and comfortable.

The reception staff were super friendly, very accommodating, as were the cleaning staff & other staff we met along the way, but the bar staff when we went for dinner & drinks seemed very standoffish, barley spoke to customers or each other, felt like we had to be extra quiet while dining & drinking. If the same staff from reception were in bar would have no complaints whatsoever!

Good breakfast. Efficient and welcoming staff. Comfortable, spotlessly clean room.

Central location but downside was that it’s on a very busy main road. Not a problem in our room(had asked for quiet part of hotel) but breakfast accompanied with continuous traffic noise.

The restaurant was a joke, We were booked in for the restaurant at 8 o clock but they sat us in the bar because noone else was in the restaurant,we didn't mind that,then we didn't get to order for 15 mins as the staff kept passing us on, their was only 3 other tables so was not busy,when we finally orderd we were waiting 25 mins for the starter and another 45 for the main to come out cold to us,cant say the food was not good as we didn't get to tast it hot... The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless clean,was probably an off night as everything else was 💯,
