The Fairview Boutique Hotel

Hotel is adjacent to pubs, restaurants, and shopping in this wonderful small town. Tourist activities, gardens and shops are all comfortable walking. The hotel manager, James, is efficient and focused on high quality with personalized attention to every guest. Marie in the restaurant and Anne at front desk took extra time to help me with the local activities. Free breakfast included marvelous Eggs Benedict. I left at 6:15 am to catch 4-hr Flight Link bus to Dublin Airport & James arranged the restaurant to serve me continental breakfast (normal service starts at 8 am). James also has excellent local network and gives good advice for activities during my holiday. Killarney is a spectacular town and Fairview Hotel makes the experience perfect, giving quiet rooms next door to lively downtown nightlife.

All was good

I took my wife to this hotel after 9 years of marriage. It was a great choice, the room was absolutely fantastic. We got the Penthouse Suite and honestly it was worth every penny of it. TV was HD and was a smart tv. It was brilliant watching movies there. The room has a beautiful double bath and even a tv in the bathroom. Breakfast was great and the staff for breakfast were absolutely fantastic. I got the poached eggs and bacon. Looks small on the plate but was definitely enough food. Fruit and cereals are also available. But again the front of house for breakfast is brilliant. She was chatty and made both my wife and I completely comfortable while having breakfast. The hotel had a high standard of cleanliness and masks are wore all over the hotel by both staff and guest. The bed was comfy, the room is very large and has nice chairs to chill on. A get sliding door to over look Killarney and the view of the mountains are nothing short of beautiful. Even the overhead music while walking around the hotel was nice a calming. Plenty of hand sanitiser all over the hotel. This is really one of the best hotels I stayed at in years. Room wise anyway.

Every was great. Other than the fact that we couldn’t go into the room until 4pm. But that’s ok due to Covid 19. The night Porter also needs to work on his mannerisms. I understand that different people of other parts of the world have different ideas hospitality but this guy needs to work on it. He wouldn’t stand aside while guest where going through doorways, no manners on the phone and walking around the hotel with his home time backpack to handover to another staff member. I just found this a little rude. Also maybe a pillow or two spare in the bedroom would have been nice but I’m sure if I asked for them then I would have got them.

The location was brilliant. You are in the centre of town and close to the amenities. The room was very clean with modern decor. Elemis toiletries in the bathroom with a jazucci bath. Breakfast was lovely and on time. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great pet friendly hotel. We would definitely return to this hotel.

You could hear other residents moving around at night and the mumbles of their conversations. We stayed in a pet friendly room which was lovely however the patio area (although secure from the road) was not fenced off which meant that the dogs could roam free to other patio areas when unattended.

We booked a junior suite, which was very nice. The room was at the front of the hotel, but we weren't troubled by any noise etc. The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and the overnight oats were divine! The room was very clean and we had a large en-suite.

The room layout was a little odd, you have to squeeze past the tv unit to get to one side of the bed and there was a random table in the room, which was great to bump into! We ended up moving the table to allow better access. The kettle was wired into the bottom of the tv cabinet, which was very strange! I have never had to boil a kettle in a cupboard before! A simple re-jig of the room would sort these problems out.

We got an upgrade to one of the apartments, which was a bit further up the road but well worth the short walk. Some of the decor was very old-fashioned and not quite to our taste, but it had a beautiful kitchen, a lovely fireplace and a great spacious shower.

Breakfast was very good with lots of things to choose from, but guests were not allowed to help themselves at the buffet, literally everything was served to the table which resulted in long waiting times at the entrance as well as at the table.

This was a very adorable boutique property in the down town area of Killarney. Extremely walkable. Next to pubs and food. Such a charming place. Highly recommend staying in the main hotel and not the town house. I just think the main building was so cool and historic.

Our second night we stayed in the townhouse. It’s only 90 meters away but it was slightly hard to figure out where it was and then to unlock the door because I couldn’t see the covered top lock. The hotel is wonderful.

Our room was a speceous penthouse with large Jacuzzi and TV in the bathroom. Wide selection of coffes in the room. Luxurious furniture.

Narrow terrace with ugly, rusty steel chairs and table. The table was not even suitable to put a glass on it. Poor selection of breakfast. Once our plate was taken away while we has not finished the eating and was sitting at the table (perharps as a sign that anyone else would like to take place already).

Hot tub had hairs in the bath, a lot of them at that. Gross. The taps NEED to be labelled in a red and blue colour. Very dangerous, my baby burnt himself as my husband thought the hot tap was cold! 3 knobs and no indication what tap is which and the hot is extremely hot so please fix this before someone else hurts themself. Bed in the penthouse needs to be replaced it sounds like it has been used since the 80’s its that squeaky.

The Hotel is beautiful. The furnishings and the decor is really beauitful throughout the main parts of the building. The breakfast was served at the table which was very nice.

The furnishings in our room were very dated,would be lovely for and old house. There was no desk/table to sit at to do puzzles,hair or makeup. The bar closed at 11pm and a restaurant would be lovely at it, but it is a lovely place. A bit overpriced for the facilities available.

excellent location cannot get more central in Killarney than here modern feel to it and spotlessly clean

upon check in there was an immediate upswell to a room with a jacuzzi bathtub which I took but wasn’t worth the price to be honest. at breakfast in the morning there is a buffet but it’s table service only which makes it not a buffet and very confusing but the breakfast is excellent
