Preskil Island Resort

The resort is beautiful and well kept. The pool was crystal clear and inviting. The staff were friendly and helpful. I met Charles the head chef who fielded a minor complaint that I had. That evening Charles came to our table at dinner and made a special dish for the table to apologize for any inconvenience (super special - thank you). There is a safe area to swim in the sea and numerous free water sports. Upon my arrival in my room there was a free golf shirt for me and a blouse for my wife (we booked a junior suit with half-board). The suite was well appointed and spacious. In the evening Preskil is beautiful and the lighting makes it feels like an island holiday. Breakfast and dinner offered a good variety of food which was well presented.

I stayed in room 4121 (junior suit) which cost 389 per night Euro for half board. Our room was near to the coastal road which carries a lot of traffic and also near to the river inlet / stagnant water. There was such a stench that we could not use the outside patio (such a pity as it would have been great to relax on the patio in the evening). I discussed the unpleasant smell with the staff at reception but they responded that this was due to coral reproduction at this time of year - go figure.

The location is perfect, and there are a lot of activities to do, including snorkeling, diving, canoeing, windsurfing, and lots of other water fun! So if you like, you could do something different every day ;-) Also, the rooms are spacious and clean, and I had a fantastic ocean view!!

The only downside was the food. I booked half board, meaning I had breakfast and dinner in buffet form included. For lunch, I went to the restaurant on the beach, but unfortunately, both were disappointing. Maybe not to my taste, but it wouldn't stop me from booking the Preskil Resort again.

we like the view of the hotel and the overall look and feel. the team are very kind and helpful, the food and the restaurant there is was perfect especially 1810 menus. the room facilities was great and fullfilment and the size of the room was good the sournding area on the beach was lovely

it is so far from the city facility, we can’t reach any restaurant and no fast food is delivered within the area. Also the one only thing we notice that there is a lack of availability of the Tissue paper only on the bathroom while we may need it in the room.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Chefs good with advising on gluten free choices at buffet. Lovely pool and beach area. We were on half board so we bought our drinks which were reasonably priced. Enough variety on buffet for a few days stay but often a delay in replenishing when a dish ran out.

Annoying lengthy check in process involving a description of hotel, activities and meal times. After a long day or night travelling it is impossible to absorb the information and all anyone wants to do is get to their room!

I did like the location

The management and the reception staff did charge extra for charity funds without asking permission to the final check out bill.. They should not be doing that..

The procedure of checkout is very complicated and ask for the keys and towels services small papers back and submitted to the reception other the guest penalized. It is non sense at all to pay money for junk meaningless piece of paper. I refused to pay and informed them that this screwed up my interest on the hotel.

The resort is beautiful with many things to do. There are many places to hangout and it dilutes very well the large number of people. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The beaches are great for snorkeling and swimming pool is very nice.

The area around the resort Mahebourg is not the most beautiful of the island if not quite shabby, it also felt slightly unsafe at night... The restaurants at the resort are not easy going, they have a 24 hour reservation policy even though many tables seem free (what do you do the day you arrive?), and they are quite overpriced. There are hidden charges with everything you do so money adds up quickly, it wasn't very transparent.

Amazing rooms with sea view, very new hotel with very modern contemporary concept: Beach chic. Very instagramable. The sea was super clean and beautiful colors. Nice size hotel, enough to do but not too big/crowded. Friendly and reserved staff and really nice massages at the spa. A a la carte restaurant can be used free of charge even if you book half board. Food was mostly good but not wow. Missing point for 10. Wifi is amazing. Speed and almost everywhere. I was doing few days home office without any connection issues. Which is still not common in many places.

A couple amazing front desk & concierge staffs; Emelee & Thomas were outstanding. Helpful, efficient & welcoming at all times. Beautifully kept resort & clean. Amazing spa experience. One of the best massages I had ever gotten & reservation was very accommodating. Smiling staffs everywhere.

The evening housekeeping service I think is pretty unnecessary & less helpful; eg: knocked on door to ask what was needed but when we asked for water, she directed us to go by ourselves to the restaurant instead to get them refilled. The cocktails from the EVENING bartender consistantly was slightly less yummy than the day. A couple reception staffs were a little clueless about customer service. Perhaps they are young to the industry & with experience, I'm sure they'll improve.

The room was perfect, huge comfy bed, beautifully decorated, great view (even with a lot of rain). The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect right near blue bay. The gym is great (though was very very hot in there!).

The food was not good, especially for such an expensive place. If we were able to book into the mosaic restaurant then we may have had better food. But the breakfast and dinner buffets were both tasteless. Also the drinks are wildy expensive if you are not on an all inclusive package.
