Abalú Small Luxury & Design Boutique Hotel

Quirky rooms in a great location. Our room was a work of art complete with projector screen, ceiling mounted speakers and lots of mirrors. Great location close to bars, cafes and restaurants. We got a little bag of fruit and pastry on our door each morning. The staff were very friendly and they were able to check us in early.

Some of the furniture was a little tired and there were a couple of marks on the pillowcases and quilt covers. No bath products were provided although there is a supermarket across the road along with several good cafes and a green grocer.

Check in was easy, rooms are really funky - we had two superior rooms, Alexa was a bonus, fabulous hair-dryer, location was excellent... Noviciado was the nearest metro Great bars & restaurants locally within 5 minutes walk... It's a bit of a BOHO area & a great vibe... Bed was really comfy... Enjoy - we had a blast! :)

Personally for me, as I had to work whilst away, the mirrored table was stunning but not practical for working from my laptop... This is me being picky - most people probably won't notice (& hopefully won't have to work)! Enjoy it's a great place! :)

Great location, nice decoration in the lobby and the rooms, friendly receptionist. I appreciated the little goody bags in the morning with small cakes and fruit.

I received a spam message via Booking.com a few days before checking in which was sent on behalf of the hotel. I had to message the hotel and Booking.com about it. They reassured me they were dealing with it, but that made me worry about my credit card information. The fan in the room is noisy. I had to switch it off and use the AC instead.

A very nice Hotel. I arrived Wednesday the 18 of January around 20.00 pm and after a very long trip ,and i was greeted by a very friendly , energetic , and very helpful Receptionist . ( From Asturias). Very good location , very nice and spacious room ,good size bed, good size tv etc. Its not my first experience with Abalu Hotel . But i keep coming back.(:

The location is excellent! The staff at the hotel is very friendly and helpful.

It was a bit cold in the room, esp since there was ceramic floor, but there was a heating source, however a bit noisy to leave on overnight. The wardrobe was very small but appropriate for 1 person for a few days stay

The location is absolutely amazing, the crew is so kind, polite and willing to help! I had to see a doctor and the lady in the reception make for me the phone calls and helped me a lot! also the hotel is very clean! I will definitely recommend to friends! my next time In Madrid I’m planning to stay here again!

A real Boutique Hotel that exceeded our expectations. A jacuzzi in the room, room beautifully decorated and warm.

Breakfast was disappointing and it would have been nice to be able to have a drink there but this was not possible.

Interesting little boutique hotel in Malasaña, one of the trendiest areas in Madrid.

Charming lobby area and a very nice room, but it could do with an extra light in the bathroom. The reflection in the mirror is quite dark.

This hotel is a short walk from the grand via, the rooms where clean, and comfortable! the room we had was unique with a raised shower in the middle of the room’. All the staff we dealt with were more than helpful! can’t recommend them enough!

Uniqueness of the hotel. Staff was great and very helpfully.

The size of the toilet room. Way way to small you couldn’t even turn around and my knees where hitting the wall.
